In all honesty its still an atheist as atheism also means a rejection of belief in a god. though you can as well belief in another god while knowing many exist, aka LoTM, but i doubt such termin is defined at all as no such people exist IRL.

In all honesty its probably about the story structure, like LoTM is very good novel which was clearly preplanned without any sudden jumps, unlike previous novels. So this probably follows suit and would drop tons of foreshadowing.
