It's just a gag comedy novel. You have to accept some level of suspension of disbelief. It's not even illogical in its own universe compared to so many other novels. The grass is supposedly very high and thick, while I agree it's weird that she wouldn't notice a human lying there anyway, it's not impossible that the grass was so dense and high that it bent over the mc and that she didn't look properly in the first place since it's supposed to be an empty place. As for being pissed, she believes he was peeping and honestly, being seen from such a perspective in such a situation would make anyone embarrassed and if you're in a world where might makes right and killing isn't a big deal, I wouldn't put it above people silencing others for a thing like this, not to mention that this is a chinese novel with china logic on how women should act even if its bullsh*t, every single novel here has a weird viewpoint on how women act and their roles in society, same for males really. Stuff like this happens in most novels on this site, women being unreasonably angry for something that's not really a huge deal and not listening to reason. It's one of my favorite novels that I've actually re-read a few times over the years. The ending few hundred chapters after the author was forced to edit things and lost all motivation to write more sucked a lot but before that, except for a few small parts, it's consistently funny, just don't take it seriously, ever.
Is it only me who'd kinda like to see if he couldn't just throw a few explosion seeds over and send out a slash of two of cultivation deviation? Especially the cultivation deviation, seems like a great move here.
dipshs*t scheming self-confident rat posers like hallmaster dao being cornered, despairing and losing their calm and hopefully dying at the end of it all is something I can't get enough of. I really look forward to when he's forced to drop his calm facade and whole "I'm in control of everything* shtick.
This MF has weaving expertise at sovereign level, the basics were related to making clothes/thread and needles. He should easily be able to make some insanely good underwear, don't tell me he actually just ripped his clothes up and tied it jungle style?
I really, really, really look forward to this extremely nauseatingly disgusting old man disguising as a repulsive version of a loli dying. I hope he dies in an extremely despairing fashion. Preferably after watching his lover dying right before his eyes.
Why is the lantern and flame translated as green? It's named the Little "BLUE" flower of the tranquil lake, not little GREEN. Of course, I know that the word for blue and green can be the same, at least in japanese. But decide one and keep with it, not that hard. Since it's from a lake, maybe blue makes more sense? Or green like the vegetation that grows on the lake? Whatever, just pick one. But since he already has a blue ice flame, it'd be nice if it was green.
Yeah, even I have wanted to drop this several dozen times and keep on venting here. I only stay reading this because the translation is just legible enough to still be funny, just like how some machine translated things such as "god level demon" are fun to read even though they're machine translated because the details doesn't matter as long as you understand what's happening to a decent extent. If this had more focus on serious stuff where details and wording/immersion/flow matters, I would've dropped it 400-450 chapters ago when it started to fluctuate more often.
I guess they had to opt out of machine translation to just badly edited and filled with bad or weird word choices translation instead because everyone rioted in the comments the last two chapters and they realized that they couldn't get away with translation that's bad to the level of making machine translations look decent.
Not sure what you've been reading though... This novel has had a translation of about this quality since forever. Only the first 100 chapters had good translation, after that it just got worse. Sometimes it's ok, sometimes it's annoying but still readable, at other times it's machine translation level and then sometimes even below that like in this chapter. I've yet to see a single chapter with good translation since the first 100-200 chapters, they're all at a level of at most "ok". Seriously the most chaotic translation I've ever seen. I've seen worse translations where every chapter is machine translation level, but I've never seen a novel that fluctuates so much. Which means that the garbage team translating this doesn't have a dedicated translator or editor for it, clearly they just chuck it around around members of different competence randomly and sprinkle in some machine translation when they don't feel like even pretending to translate it.
Since when is 12+18+22=40? Did the author skip his math classes or is it just the translator being bad as usual? The first doubled and sold for 12 billion, the second tripled and sold for 18 billion and the third almost quadrupled, selling for 22 billion. 12+18 = 30, 30+22 = 52. Not really rocket science.
Not really news for this novel, sadly. Or qidian/webnovels translations in general. Some translators are good, but clearly there's no quality control efforts at all and they hire anyone, ruining so many good novels...
You know just as well as anyone that it's not going to last for long since they go up and down in translation quality all the time. I hope this stops later on though, it's so sad that so many chapters in this novel is ruined. Since it's a comedy/gag novel most of the time, it's still readable because the jokes usually don't need good english to get across enough to be funny, but if it was even slightly more serious, I would've dropped this long ago.
What's with the recent translation quality? What happened to the previous translator exodus and who is this guy 549690339 that only has numbers as a name? The quality of the translation is truly trash, it reads like machine translations edited by someone who doesn't know english or run through a grammar program. he/she changes all the time, grammar is completely screwed up, the text says different things from what is actually happening, even machine translation might be better at times because at least it keeps consistent. Seriously, what's up. This is such low quality yet you want people to pay a great sum for such garbage translations? Whoever is translating isn't even keeping things consistent, and just look at the first row. "Sovereign blazing glory shook his head and sighed. HIS treasury being plundered was no small matter. it was probably a serious injury." First of all, what's up with the "serious injury"? How about translating is as "serious blow" or something? But worst of all, the way it's written means that the sovereign says that HIS OWN TREASURY has been plundered when it's not his treasury. This hardly even qualifies as edited machine translation, at least edited machine translation will have decent grammar and not a ruined perspective. It's hard to enjoy a work like this. I see that it was "translated" at an insane pace as well, like several hundred to almost a thousand chapters in a month or two. There's no way this was translated properly. Whoever did this should be ashamed of themselves, so should qidian/webnovel for not doing quality checking and making sure it's readable. If you tell people to pay for something, then do your job and don't cheat like this. It was a fun novel to read until it was clearly picked up by someone using machine translations and not even editing it properly.
