Just a writer, looking for inspiration.
On the one hand, the story's good. On the other hand, the translation's kinda bad. No, it's *really* bad, particularly a few chapters in where the chat comments get messed up. If you can stomach that, though, it's a good read.
If he thinks she's caring and respectful to family, how is she *not* pretty good? Typo, translator.
So, let's be real here. This is one of the most generic, paint-by-numbers stories I've seen, even on this site. MC is a handsome, cool, casually pretentious, arrogant, unreasonable, OP dude? Check. He has a fatty friend? Check. Is in conflict with a rich silk pants type who has a grudge against him for a dumb reason? Check. Is supported by a beautiful and capable woman who also has a high status? Check. Not only is it generic, it's poorly executed as well. The setting is somewhat interesting, I guess, with the reincarnation tower and all, but that's about all that can be said for it. Massive derec. Can't believe something like this was picked.
Li Xiaonian, literally a few minutes ago: *Deceives his mother*
Half a month for beasts to cross 30 miles? You sure the distance was translated correctly?
Ah, rouge cultivators? So they practice the Dao of Make-up, then?XD
It should be 'they bowed respectfully and left in a hurry', not 'Lugh bowed respectfully'. Why on earth would 'Celt' bow respectfully towards his maids?
Why is he suddenly Yarne? What happened to Lugh? Can the author not even keep track of his own MC's name?:/
What's with the levels? When he scanned Vivian, it mentioned she had 70 points, no levels. Moreover, based on what was said earlier, an *****'s level of strength (1 point) is equal to a level 1? Then all the more reason for Vivian's strength to have been mentioned in terms of levels before. Author, stop changing your mechanics like this.:/
The story's pretty good so far, but for a story built around a choice system, it sure doesn't seem to be appearing anytime soon. I do have some problems with the story - the whole ranking system seems kinda worthless when even a pre-tier 1 magician can easily kill a tier 3 warrior. The characterization so far is also pretty limited. But anyway, this is my kind of story, so I'll be lenient in my rating. I still enjoy it. Although that said, locked from chapter 5? Are you kidding me, Qidian?
What about Bronze? Just earlier, you mentioned that the person who was trying to rob him had a Bronze Aura.
Snorted coldly. He's not asleep enough to snore coldly here.:/
... There were a total of 10,000 competitors. How the hell did he fail to be in the top 10,000?XD
An extremely good story that is unfortunately not going to be picked because it doesn't have the requisite face-slapping and mindless violence in it. Yeah guys, let's pick the generic and poorly written God whatever story than something that does something new with the genre, and is actually interesting to read. I'm sure that makes perfect sense./s smh
Was fun at the start. Then got stupid very, very quickly, with awkward exposition provided to the readers through an ignorant protagonist asking questions about obvious and basic knowledge, repetitive scenes and entire chapters saying little, just showing reactions and bystander bullshit, and hit peak idiocy with the protagonist being a cocky, arrogant shit who you just want to punch in the face and repetitive, pointless fights that are only intended to show off the protag's power. Massive de-rec.
'Has a market value of hundreds of billions'. 'Isn't a big company'. I'm sorry, wut?
Pretty much. Pity 'I Beg You All, Please Shut Up' stopped updating. It had a fun story.
Besides the poor translation at parts, this story is a gem. Mind, it follows the 'misunderstanding comedy' aspect, like in stories like 'I'm the MC, why do I suck at cultivation' and 'I really am not the lord of demon', so if you didn't like those stories, you probably won't like this one. That said, if you did, this is one of those great stories that can really draw you in and leave you laughing. The sad thing is that it was released in Trial Read alongside four other stories that all seem good, so even if it was picked, it's a bit of a shame. Oh well, can't win 'em all, I guess.
