I agree if we are talking about a real Pokemon world. In the games though sadly the evolution line simply is too weak with how low its stats are.
I really like this drawback as it gives a real reason for TM's to be expensive and you can't easily mass-produce money by making them like in other novels.
Likely for balance reasons. Dragons where extremely rare and powerful Pokemon back in the day, along with few counters for them and I don't think it would have been fair for the other two starters. Back then I'm pretty sure all there was that dragon was weak to was dragon and ice, making Charzard a Fire/Dragon type back then would have been crazy broken as it would remove the water weakness for fire type and remove the ice weakness, for the dragon, along with resisting grass and electric types. All that could fight back are the ground/rock types and other dragons.
I'm a huge fan of all three Kanto starters. I think I'd have to pass on charmander for one of the other two in this situation though with the world being more realistic. While it would be amazing having a Charizard as a flying Pokemon, I feel like the cannons on Blastoise and how they should dominate from a distance or Vensaur in general would be much better overall rather than just being a close/mid ranged bruser type. Vensaur would be a nightmare with it's bulk, power, life draining attacks and the status spores.
Aww a system lame. We get so few where it's just hard work that makes the MC strong, always a system or for some random reason they are OP.
People seem to forget the leaf is called the land of fire for a reason. Most of the population are fire style users. The Uchiha are not the only ones who use fire.
You don't need a bloodline in the Naruto world. Many of them are OP cheats, but we have examples of many top ninja without them. It's really only when you talk about the few godlike ninja at the end of the story that things get out of hand.
Yep, Dragon Ball and Pokemon was before them and felt more ingrained in American culture that they felt separate from other anime. Pretty sure they also received less views, at least on all the websites I used to watch on ;) Naruto, One Pience, and Bleach where always the top 3 in viewership so I would call them the big 3 myself. Are they still in the top 3? I'm sure Naruto and Bleach fell off as they were finished but Baruto is a thing. I heard Once Pience became more mainstream but I gave up on that long ago as it took an insane amount of time to watch the show, I'll get back into it once it's finally finished lol...
Krum was scammed here with Charles getting more points even though he was the one who caused the incident and returned last. I guess it was Karma for the scoring done in the first round.
So many poor people are getting scammed and robbed by this kid!
