The theme of seeking immortality is very common in Chinese fantasy. If you only want Japanese anime it's a bit tricky. As already said Baccano is the easiest, in Code Geas too, if you can get some way to transfer a code, but with sage it should be easy. Spiral Power also makes you immortal, the problem is waking it up in the tengen toppa anime. By the way, that's one of the most broken powers in any entertainment medium I've seen.
