Look up DanDanDan which while the plot is not the exact same, the power system is very similar to jjk. In Dandandan they have cursed energy and innate abilities, but it is very wacky compared to jjk.

One caveat here is that The Plague Doctor does not think what he creates are undead but refers to them as "cured". No one knows what pestilence he is trying to cure and it is seemingly random who he decides is infected and needs "curing" or not.
