At this point she is completely contradicting her earlier stance. If the mech is supposed to shield the pilot in this way then the pilot doesn’t need to develop their own defenses. Which was exactly thier argument against living mechs. Shes a complete hypocrite.

The easiest solution is to find some kind of buisness agreement with the smoke party no matter how small. This will reinforce the neutral stance and shake off the sycophants while also being profitable instead of costly.
