the worst part about this is that it indicates that the novel will probably end after the war of the griffons. which to be fair is a fine place to end the novel. basically every conflict got resolved. i dont think legion should persue the whole guardian subplot, but let the novel rest and lith die a peacefull death after many great years with kami.

i think this was just his abomination side collecting life force. i imagine it like this: his maximum life force is at like 60% currently from max capacity. overusing his bloodline abilities decreases that cap, and thus shortening his life span. so if he uses a bit of it for his abilities to lower the current value bit doesent damage the max he can heal it. if that wasnt enough of an explanation: imagine a muscle. now cut away half of it. you can still use it, but only half as good before. you can overuse and strain it without premanent damage. but do too much and eventually its unusable
