not sure how to feel about this conclusion. having the MCs existence be essentially just to die for other people isn't all that satisfying. I do hope he can eventually become more than just a punching bag and meat shield for other people. that and seeing whoever that is who wrote the script for the world succeeding is irritating

honestly I just want to see the mc grt more powers and fights/instances where he gets to use them. and seeing the reactions from other characters who are astonished by is weird/unheard of(from their perspectives) abilities

I don't think he was saying not to get paid for hero work. I think he's more saying to prioritize saving lives over catching the villain as they're going to get paid regardless.
