Though, Astartes and other gene warrior a wonders, I think they goal is more like Ancients (Lanteans) of the Stargate Franchise, to ascend above their humble human origins to become "god-like", but in wholesale. However, analogy with Space Marines might still apply, if you changed the target from Astartes to Primarchs or God-Emperor, meaning make the whole humanity ascend to the level of those exalted beings) 😂😅
I get it. It seems that you think that if a measure/tool/asset/weapon/technology/policy is defensive in nature, then it cannot contribute to the conflict chances, promoting only peace. 😅 Which, in my opinion is mostly wrong. As I see it, no matter its nature/designation, whether a move/measure/asset/tool/weapon/technology/policy is defensive or offensive in nature does not matter, it contributes to both conflict emergence/peace continuation. To make parallels with our world, nuclear armaments have played a great role in diminishing the frequency and scale of conflicts on our planet, offensive weapon has contributed greatly towards a peace. While, the development of "purely" defensive anti-air weapons is definetily contributing towards the greater chaos.
And the Big Two will go quite far to make things follow their vision. 😅
Uhm, combat becoming "safer", less consuming in terms of irrecovereable losses(attrition), will definitely make people fight/war more than now. It could also provide unnecessary "courage"/daredevils to take up more risky endevours than they do at the moment (possibly, even clashin directly against Big Two). 3. Peace, as well as any other "global" concepts here is quite subjective. It is quite possible that to the Big Two any major/minor change to the way things are set up, distributed and prioritized at the moment is a big affront, akin to breaking "a peaceful state of affairs". 😅
1.With linked shields mechs might just barely pose a threat to warships. 2. Linked shields will definitely make mech combat much safer for mech pilots, which is big no for MTA. Remember, more danger for mech pilots, more expert pilots being born. More life-prolonging juice) 3. It might twist mech technologies development direction. As more attention will be payed to shields, linking shields and respective counter-measures, whilst mostly disregarding other research directions. This is also a big no for MTA and humanity in general, as that would be counter productive to overall technological development. 4... Could be many other minor reasons)
Hopefully, he will be able to zone it, so that only his own/allied pilots are affected. Otherwise, this glow might become a double edged measure in the combat against fellow humans)
Well, access to research results is a one thing, but being able to make a good use of them is another matter. I believe Ves in this case bets heavily on the assumption that thanks to his "innate" gift of being greatly attuned(and equipped with a "unique" toolset) towards this new field will make him the party that gains the most out of this partnership. 🤔 Admittedly, MTA's lack of progress in cracking Ves' "proprietory" solutions seem to reinforce his belief. How that plays out in practice? Well, hopefully, Exlor will grace us with the answer in foreseeable future and NOT in 10 years of real time. 😂😂🤣😅
Well, its either mechers or nutjobs from 5SC😅; there are not any noteworthy specialists of psyonics/spiritual magic available for hire, and the internal pool of talents is quite bare for foreseeable future. So, for the T Institute to start off as soon as possible, inviting a mecher is the only solution, not to mention that it would grant Ves at least some semblance of protection/approval of their research of this under-developed(utilised) field. 🤔
Throw stones at me, but strangely, I find Ranya one of the most reasonable and attractive of the Hexers, alongside Calabast, both would had been an interesting match to the Ves. 😅 One can only dream, we are stuck with Gloriana. 😅😅Though, admitedly her shenanigans are quite amusing at times, and it is always a pleasure to see Ves suffer😂🤣😅.
Well, certainly, Brutus is the "bride" of outstanding quality. 😂 The "groom", Sendra, will certainly open up his mind to the wondrous world of manliness) 🤣🤣🤣😅
Uhm, they grow up resembling their pilots. So, I guess it is quite obvious that a certain hard-headed expert pilot is power-hungry, even to an extent that it affected the Shield.)
I bet, at least some part of that energy comes from all those ex-Lifers, who personally experienced its wonders. Not to mention that a group of those were "religious fanatics", juicy targets for anyone who looks for the source of spiritual sustenance)
If I am not mistaken, she is one of the few surviving officers (inner circle) of the original Swordmaidens. She took over the command of Swordmaidens after the reorganisation, which took expert pilots out of the command structure. One of her few defining points that we got to see is that she is less "brutish" compared to her sisters, and amongst those who are capable of both cunning moves as well as being more or less strategically/politically savvy person. Again, less brutish is by Swordmaidens standards.) 😅Though, it is worth to note, that she is amongst the strongest of the Swordmaidens on individual level, otherwise she would not be able to enjoy her leadership position. Any fellow reader is free to correct my info brief on Sendra, or add unto it. 👍
Starting from Calabast, Ves' mum, and many other strong women; I bet it is safe to assume that Exlor has a soft spot for those dominating women. 😂😂😂Can't fault him for that. Usually, those women tend to be more interesting than the more docile ones. 😅😅😅
Well, he did mention that a few other factions pitched in to help Ves' case) though, it is true that he did not specify how big of a role Survivalist played in this deal compared to other "helpers" .😅🤔
Interesting. I am curious whether he was truly the one initiated a bit of digging in Ves' background through MTA. Judging by Voiken siblings description of the man, and his mild/open-minded approach he exhibits at the moment, I bet MTA faction that is part of were the ones who pushed him through to contact siblings and the Clan. 🤔🤔🤔😅
Here comes another MTA faction, preserving order, who also wants a bite of Ves. Interesting, who else might join the party🤔🤔🤔. It is quite likely that whatever waves Ves has inadvertently put into motion got the interest of various MTA factions, who don't want Willix/Polymath to monopolize Ves)
The only guarantor of true neutrality is either unassailable defensive/economic/technological advantage(s) or unquestionable disparity in power that allows one to transcend above all other players (MTA/CFA). The Larkinsons are far from any of those, yet. So, Ves grab Calabast's beautiful hand and march on to realize her wonderful roadmap of The Clan's ascendancy! 😂
I am still waiting in hope to have the other expert(ace) pilot from his experience to rendezvous with Larkinsons and join them. Eh, dreams and hopes..
