I can foresee the level of BS that will come out of his boneheaded and stupid decision to follow Wayne and play into the hand of those he KNOWS does not have good interest in him instead of finding a way to force them to play into his hand if they are really interested in him. All he had to do was walk away and say, ‘No info, no deal. You want me, you meet me on my terms.’

I don’t think Shang cut him off because he prioritized his family, I think he cut him off because he *gave up* on power. He was pushing him to pursue power in order to protect his family, but he refused to actually become powerful and settled instead.
