honestly I don't feel such old fashion tales would work in that time period. why even paper media was dying and the only way you can catch people's attention is by publishing sensationalized fiction. Too often people think just because a certain work done well, it would work anytime in history when that is not the case. it's like that movie yesterday where the dude is putting out beetles song when it's clear it's the hip hop era.

novel is confusing as the perspective moves all over the place with no indication of what's actually happening.mc goes missing for long stretches of time yet there's little care on the mc side togo home. apparently the author loves to be gritty and have the mc suffer encounters constantly. Tries to also be edgey by saying mc is a killer and so much other nonsense. Stick to one topic and expand on it instead of making it an outline of what's happening. Reactions of the environment and ramifications of what the mc is doing. As it is now, novel is terrible and needs a good editor to shape the ideas into a coherent story.

Great story that makes you want to keep reading more. It tells of a tale between two men and how they will influence the future. Kinda annoyed the goddess places restrictions on the pen.

Remove character names and you will see the cookie cutter blandness for what it is. Honestly there is nothing special in this novel that any veteran has seen this premise done better anywhere else. Sad to see I wasted my time reading this again only to see an old comment of mines detailing how bland it is. Hopefully this review stays up.
