While I understand that early is the best time to make the investment I still feel Oswald is pushing way to hard. There is no way he is not aware of how Minos feels about his Mother and the rest of her family. They pretty much left him to die in the Brown Kingdom because he was in a coma and had zero value. Now that he is one of, if not the most talented people on the continent and maybe even on the entire plane they are trying to make use of him and Minos wants nothing to do with it beyond what he could gain from any connections he can make on his own in the sect.

I do not get why the Grandfather is pushing so hard to get Minos to take over in the first place. His mother has already secured the position and the Grandfather may not know exactly how Minos is getting so strong so fast when he first met him he seem not totally oblivious to the techniques he was using far surpassed his own. While he may not know exactly how fast Minos is going to grow he had some idea about it from the way he talked previously, Give him a few more decades and he will likely outclass almost anyone in the sect.
