It's probably crawdads/crawfish, basically freshwater lobster. They are super easy to catch even without any bait; they love to grab onto the hook and won't let go even after lifting them out of the water.
Instead of choosing only 3 people for the trip it would be a lot easier to just stuff everyone that wants to go into Liam's tower. He's already got tons of elves, a dryad, the dragon lady, and undead in there so it wouldn't make much of a difference by adding some humans too.
Welp, that sucks for Liam. He had absolutely no romantic feelings for Alex but he was basically forced into marrying her.
I find it incredibly hard to believe that Jonathan Hofstader is in the Empire. He had absolutely nothing to do with the game and was even mocking Mia for playing the game and yet somehow he is now inside the game and in an incredibly hard to enter area. This scene is way too off.
I'm kinda surprised they are birds and not bats in this cave.
I'm surprised there's a leaderboard in an apocalypse.
Thankfully the game doesn't have any kind of encumbrance. It would suck if he hit some kind of weight limit from all the gold and couldn't even move anymore.
This reminds me of the mmorpg Everquest; they merchants always had amazing looking gear that was super expensive, but the stats were pretty bad. If you killed level 1 mobs they'd drop stuff that sold for a few copper, but a fancy steel sword would be like hundreds of platinum. If you were lucky you might find a mob with a cracked staff to sell every 30 minutes or so. You would probably need more than 300 of those get the fancy sword.
A few thousand is nothing to whales. Although, it would be really weird if anyone had tons of gold already. How would they convert their money, especially if the game has only been out for a few hours. Even the MC can't even enter a bank in the game yet. How would anyone have enough time to already find the location of a very specific NPC that might be able to do real money trading?
So he became snow white? Where's the 7 dwarves?
