I feel like it would be refreshing for the story, however i can also see how it would feel like im giving him random abilities that suddenly make things work out for him. I don't want them to come out of left field, but i also don't want it to feel like a system story, if that makes sense. I'm just not sure. The suffering and pain of Godrick... the guy can't catch a break XD. I just feel like his hard work doesn't pay off as much as it should and whenever he takes a step forward something else happens. pretty much the big amount of suffering he takes.

Under the right conditions, they will definitely betray Duffy, they are people who ran away to "hug Duffy's legs" but not every one of them is strong-willed. not to mention a person can't trust people he didn't watch grow the entire way, the MC's existence is already changing so many factors in the world you can never say for certain.

then it won't make sense, to give abilities than nerf just ruins it. it's better to just end stories earlier than keep milking it by nerfing. if he's not extremely strong and beats his enemies till they fear him then he won't be the knight of ruin. at the very least that's his image till now. out of nowhere decline in growth doesn't make sense and just ruins the experience.

Jeanne flung herself backwards into her chair, making her fall to the ground. She quickly got to her feet, embarrassed as she wiped at her clothes. Fiore looked at her battle dress with a hint of amusement, as the rest just looked on awkwardly. Looking down at herself she noticed she was staining her own clothes with the blood on her hand that had drifted. She looked to Godrick who had the decency to look embarrassed, looking away from her.
