Where can we find this and learn more? That sounds pretty interesting and adds to the overall theme of the Venerables all having a pretty nasty past.
Well, to be fair, you think the universal civs wouldn't have tried to control and subdue the virus for themselves if they got to it first before him?
Well, they will lose because they are the noob nosy bystanders in the plot, but they're really just taking a risk to try and eliminate their biggest enemies and get revenge. Even HX took insane risks which would have killed him if he were'nt the MC by now.
Makes sense, why allow your natural enemies to grow strong enough to kill you?
Not exactly destroy, more like assimilate I think. Either way not that much more ruthless than any of the civs on the "good side" during their own ancient era.
Examples would be spoilers, I have read through all the chapters released for this novel and I have no regrets whatsoever, besides that I can't stand any other cultivation novels anymore.
Huh, also it seems like being an Esper is pretty bad deal since it gives unique ability but is vulnerable to being stolen away completely, the other classes don't seem to have an equivalent stealing ability. BS could just steal the ability of any Esper he doesn't like and they wont be revivable through Sanctum anymore.
No, apparently absolutely anybody who runs away can be killed and thrown into the underworld to be enslaved forever, since that's what he was planning to do to Dylan just to stop him from coming into contact with the World Tree and leaking information.
He's practically enslaving his enemies, its kind of worse than the World Tree since that one at least did not torture them in a underworld and just suppressed their negative thoughts towards WT, similar to the Godora brainwashing scheme Han Xiao himself did before.
These guys aren't all Fang Yuan, why do they all try to cling to eternal life? Wake up every life watching your grudged enemies grow stronger with no hope of destroying them, I had hoped at least one of them would have had the balls to just suicide and self detonate instead of choosing to help the civs in exchange for staying alive.
The way it was described, it implied that he wanted to steal Esgods power because hes a "very powerful and evil man" as though he is punishing Esgod for his crimes and sins. This naturally brought a sense of "I am righteous and I am handing out punishment to those who deserve it". Its not the neutral "this is a very useful chess piece". Its more chaotic good because it seems he was doing everything so far to prepare the universe for fighting against the WTC, not just purely for his own benefits. If anything its more Esgod who was "chaotic neutral".
Everyone keeps gloating that he will regret running, but why can someone not choose to throw away the chance for eternal life to keep to their promise not to help a hated enemy instead? Why can he not stay away without regrets even if doing so loses the chance of eternal life? His goal may not necessarily be eternal life, who knows, he might even loathe being brought back to life over and over for eternity to see his hated universal civs grow stronger and stronger with no hope of revenge. Really hate this kind of railroading, then again I have to keep reminding myself nothing will ever match Reverend Insanity.
*facepalm* man the use of the underworld can be more evil than even the world tree yet there is so much talk about right or wrong and others being evil? fun read but annoying and full of sheet, I am never going to find another Reverend Insanity am i?
