...probably putting someone actually competent and consistently aware of the point of the exercise would help.
do we actually know that? Death vision manifested after his life force cracked, he'd already been marked by Mogar at that point to become what he is now, so it really wouldn't surprise me if death vision is watered down, barely controllable version of an innate skill. Perhaps it's powered subtly by a mix of dark, chaos, life, and soul. with that in mind, I kind of view Lith cracking his life force like someone accidentally sitting on the remote to their new TV, he is now unable to change the channel oh, but he can still kind of alter the picture and change the volume.

*points at the last several chapters* honestly, the main reason I was angry was that everything felt so forced. in this case, too smart for their own good.
Deja Vu I've just been in this place before...
Mogar has a viewpoint not unlike Baba Yaga, though her's is far more utilitarian
I'm just going to say this now, to all you out there who seem to consistently look forward to Kami's death... Let Lith have this happiness, Kami too for that matter. I'm sure something awful is about to happen, something dramatic to. however, I don't think Kami really needs to die in all this.
umm, Lith will not walk away, but he will try to remove the other person's ability to
I don't believe so, because in most if not all those cases that I can recall, Grandma had taken care of the mentors as well
so he can do the Venom thing if he so desires
