whoops, semi-illegal anti-expert mech incoming?
talking big for someone who was proven wrong like 20 chapters ago.
unlike anti-expert mechs, anti-battleship technology is something the MTA is likely to richly reward, even if it ultimately undermines their position as a galactic hegemon.
it's a shame .The commercial mechs have by far the most interesting design processes. I am excited to see the monster slayer in action, but Ves making a commercial doom crawler is something I've wanted since he made the war crime machine. The only non commercial mech that could get me that excited would be a Golden Cat tiger mech đ
skull architect gets pretty close when it comes to all of those
Ves's mother is also aligned with life, and even more of a killer than Ves
Or they could just take footage from the Golden Skulls. Remember all the precautions Ves took to hide everything from them in the Nyxian gap? The MTA is so far ahead in terms of SIGINT that there's nothing any technology not given by the metal scroll can do to stop them from snooping.
at 20-30% casualties a unit is considered defeated in reality, so it's more like 50 times as many. Doesn't the clan have like 30 candidates? if they all perform like that they're equivalent to several thousand ordinary soldiers.
It's the same size as a warhammer 40k battleship, there they're also 8-10km long.
Aliens, probably, as well as ludicrous edge cases like a journeyman having access to the fabled metal scroll
In addition, remember that everyone except bottom tier third raters and pirates are gene/cybernodded transhumans, in addition to literal magic
his spiritual imprint would be too strong, most likely
Like the one Ves made during the cult design duel that tortured the user while they were piloting it.
the exchangeable companion idea reminds me of Titanfall 2, where the mechs have removable ai cores that can slot into any standard mech
He had a duel against a mta employed journeyman. Ves tried to win by making the design duel be based on who could make the best third rate striker mech, the type of mech furthest from the first rate multi-purpose mechs the MTA journeyman was used to. Ves lost, but Joshua broke through to expert candidate while losing, and the other journeyman was so impressed that he forfeited his win.
He lost his one design duel against a first rater. Besides, as a holy son, Ves arguably qualifies as a first rater himself (from the gene/psitech specialized first rate superpower, even). Mr. S has supplied him with mods superior to admittedly outdated CFA offerings.
He says that, but Ves agrees with pretty much every belief of the ascentionist sub-sect of the Yvlanians and sincerely believes that Yvlaine was a true prophet. The only place his beliefs conflict with the Religion is in their moral teachings.
rather than expert mechs, i'd say the primary use would be in creating a standardized quasi-expert/prime version of the bright warrior for his expert candidated
if that ever happens the ace worshipping Crossers will assimilate into the Larkinson clan anyway
