Hell ya! welcome back
I'm not sure the they would have a concept for the word "familiar". They would probably say something like ninja cat summoned animals or something.
He may be doing that thing he mentioned wanting to try where he splits off the spirit bone into a clone and absorbs a new one befor recombining ending up with both.
Man I can't believe I slept on this for so long! For those wandering, this story only briefly touches on the HP verse (sort of rushed) before dropping into the Pirate verse and staying there past ch 60 on. It's well written for the most part, the only issue for me is the diary system is sort of jarring and poorly done in my opinion. Several of the interactions with the diary when it acts like a assistive AI could have just been the MC's intuitively conjecture and experimenting rather then the solution just handed to him by the AI.
The story was decent for most of it but around chapters 95 to 100 the translator went rouge and started using AI to write the story, probably because the original author stopped updating.
This is a great read. The pacing between grinding skills/levels, teching up gear etc, and slice of life has been really good. I would love to get some pov interludes chapters from the other characters, get a feel for how people see the MC and how he has changed.
I just binge read this in a day, it's honestly the best gamer ff out there. The spacing between the grinding, teching up, and slice of life has been just right. 10/10
I think he means that at lvl 1 he can't quite leverage the spell to power level itself due to inconsistent damage, range, and density. He needed to level it a bit first to get the whole positive spiral gains.
I recall he was stuck in the 70s due to having only 7 lvls on his pagoda spirit.
it is likely going for something like susanoo from Naruto
