So what if mingyue isn't there? for her it's only a moment. If he gets to heaven realm he may be able to save her and/or others when there is danger! not to mention that he can train in alchemy and formations or comprehend illusion/darkness laws. Again with that weird thinking that every man is a predator... I didn't mean that he should stalk her but if he has an opportunity he should try to talk to her when she's without her friends. It's just, all I can remember is that interacted two times: 1) when he saw one ear going to the fighting pit and one ear told him to watch him. 2) when one ear needed help training and asked him. So he doesn't feel like a big deal, maybe if there was something that made the mc emotional it would have made more sense. But, they didn't feel like bffs or something. It's like an acquaintance dying and you swearing vengeance because he was your neighbor. Feels weird.
