He always put on a mask around his family (until the mask thawed) and she knew him as a loving Older Brother - but around the time Lith began to change and open up Tista got to know the cold and cynical Lith that contrasted with her hero and living Brother, and attributes the difference between those opposing views on his transformation to a beast – because surely her hero couldn't be like that on his own...
