Snowden didn't escape to Russia. He was on his way from Hong Kong to Ecuador, and while he was in Russia waiting for his flight, the US cancelled his passport, leaving him stuck there.
"A Will Eternal" Why? Seriously. The MC in that web novel is just plain autistic. He's basically Steve Urkel (for anyone over 30 ;)), in that he constantly fucks shit up, then wonders why people get pissed at him. It's especially annoying because, out of the hundreds of Xianxia stories I've tried to read, A Will Eternal is the one that comes closest to having an actually good reason for the MC to cultivate in perpetuity (he wants to live forever).
Saying "it's destiny" is not an explanation. It's bad writing, on the level of mind control. It takes away any character agency because it turns their every action into something that was destined/supposed to happen. It's forcing the plot, nothing more. I'm out.
Taking a break, I guess. This whole thing feels like filler, because after this whole mess is through (sometime next year I guess) and the MC returns, there's a big, fat "Meanwhile..." waiting where we're gonna have to suffer through months of chapters about how supermegaawesome the MC was on the xianxia/wuxia side of the story during all this.
The current chapter (226) showed great improvement, to the point that I didn't need to re-read anything several times to understand it, like I had to in previous chapters. There was an easily noticeable improvement in grammar, though admittedly sentence structure still needs work.
5 bucks says that's what's locked up on earth.
Just how lazy can you be, author? At least throw in some random letters and numbers, not just go XX XXX XXX XX XXX...
"come to us to fight" meaning his drones ambushing them while they're simply flying through space?
That's equivalent to someone in New York seeing someone walking East along the street and "calculating" that they're headed to Beijing.
That's not an Asian thing, that's a poor thing. I'm from Europe, and we did this as well when I was a kid. Shampoo, juice, shower gel,..., basically everything that could be mixed with water, we always added water to when the bottle was "empty", to get one last use out of the product.
