Lord Streak. Thanks for the years of enjoyment. I used to love this novel, despite its many flaws (dumbing down characters for plot, contrived attempts to make simple situation seem complex/clever, poor grammar, repetitive statements). Ultimately I just loved the premise (martial arts) and technique making. And the techniques you came up with were genuinely amazing. Kudos. Even now the techniques are quite cool. Sadly the novel has just become too much. I almost dropped during the NOVA and 50+ chapter of politics. But powered through (skimmed heavily). But the stuff with Rui’s daughter is just too cliche and boring. It’s the ultimate trope and one I’m not there for. Person has daughter and suddenly they change entirely, daughter is a perfect angel with ungodly talent, etc etc etc. This is despite decades of previous life experience showing the person is not that kind of person (prioritize family over their martial arts in Rui’s case). Look it would have made sense if Rui had a kid and loved her. That fit his character (he loved the orphanage and his step mom a lot). But it doesn’t make any sense it would rank above project water. In fact it goes entirely against the theory of enlightenment of self. If he would have loved a kid so much, he would have known he’d be like that before having them. And if having a kid changed him so much that it was not within the bounds of his enlightenment (which I think would have been stupid), it would have only made sense he lost that enlightenment. The basic fact is he was driven by project water to an extreme, enough that he’d sacrifice being present with his loved ones for it (despite him loving them a lot). The idea this suddenly changes because he has a daughter is just cliche and honestly awful writing, and it’s mentioned literally 8/10 chapters since she’s been born. I just can’t do it anymore. It’s ruined the novel. I wish you the best. It’s been a long run. I can’t even recall how long, I’ve been reading since around the first time the Martial Heart was shown by Senior Ceeran (can’t recall his name spelling). It’s sad to drop this but it’s just become too cliche and his character just isn’t interesting anymore (entire drive became his daughter). I am writing this as a comment rather than as a review. I want to share my feedback with you but don’t want to impact your rating. And honestly I don’t know how to rate this. On one hand the writing quality was always very poor. On the other hand, for years I have enjoyed this novel as much as any other single novel I ever read. And on the final hand, I hate the novel as it is now. I can’t convey these feelings into a score, and so I am just sharing them here.

Harsh words will follow. First I will say I recommend this novel. It is great. I do have feedback I need to give the author though which is below. Read it if you wish for more in depth review. If not then just pickup this novel. A 4.2 star review for me is already very high. It’s just this novel could be so much higher. I felt the need to leave a review because of one character. Mordret. All I can say is this character single handedly dropped this novel form a 4.8 star to a 4.2 for me. It’s not really just because of Mordret. He’s just the most glaring example of the thing I dislike the most about this novel. That being the power scaling and logic of many encounters. Basically Mordret is a poorly justified and broken character, one that just never goes away. And that occurs many other times through the novel in smaller examples. A certain standard of power level is set and then just changed or ignored for plot reasons. It really kills hype and immersion. Now I will say I am leaving this review to vent disappointment I feel towards a novel I have heavily invested in. That all said this novel overall has many strength. I’d say the average novel on webnovel deserves a 2 star. And few really deserve a 4 or higher. I do want to clarify this is still a novel I highly recommend. But I also need to express mine (as well as clearly many others as based on the recent activity on Reddit) disappointment about the trend and handling of certain matters in this novel. This is the authors novel and I’m sure this feedback may vary well be ignored. And who am I to judge? I’m sure I couldn’t write a novel nearly as good as G3 did. But the feedback must be given anyways. Especially given there is between 500 and 1000 chapters to go, and I hope against hope that these aspects will improve. I do hope the novel remains the 5 star book it was during the forgotten shore + Antarctica arc + third nightmare arc (ironically all arcs Mordret was largely absent from 😂) rather than the ~4 star is has been during the sovereign war + recent few chapters (~2550)

I honestly feel I could read another 3K of this novel. Wish you the best author. I don’t always agree with certain plot decisions. But overall love the novel! It’s one of my favorites

After doing this several times across the entire world hopefully he’ll create a systematic system of though to make it safe and fast, so he can use it on the fly. Could be called Soul Forge or Metasoul. The passive mastery he picks up from Amare upgrades one part of his creation system, while this Soul Forge upgrades the other part. Together they can take his creation system to even higher heights. Then all he needs is his Primordial Metabody (primordial seed) and to learn the Silas clans martial art, and he’ll truly have great power. Though it makes sense if he doesn’t learn either of these two until Sage realm…

I wonder if this novel will even continue into Transcendent or beyond. I feel the goal of the Transcendents is to birth powers who can content with Transcendent threats without the limitations that Transcendents seem to face. E.g. the kandrian empire breaking past the great limit and Rui managing to fight a Sage as a Master (and as such possibly a Transcendent as a Sage). Of course that could just be the short term goal of Transcendents. Perhaps a whole new plot will open up once Rui starts interacting with those of the Transcendent level.

Author. I have an idea for a future technique. When he finally learns the Silas clan technique, he’ll gain the ability to see many snippets of key points of his own or other futures. He then uses Angel of Laplace at each of these “visions” to extrapolate backward the past from these points. And he uses the Void algorithm to extrpolate forward. This flood of info fuels the Silas technique letting him see more points, until eventually he sees everything. He gains the ability to see the past and future, and his martial embodiment changes from a tsunami of water into a river of the past flowing into an estuary of countless branching futures which he can see the likelihood and conditions for each. The far reaches of the past and future as well as the most improbable paths are shrouded in fog, keeping him from Omniscience. It would be a monumental evolution for him, likely resulting in another Martial Embodiment change while still being Water. It also could just be a technique that changed his martial embodiment while in use, similar to how the Silas Matriarchs changed when she showed Rui his future. Either way would be a cool technique. Likely would require Gigamind to process so much info, and unless you plan on “resolving the issue” of the Silas technique, would he for when Rui is a Sage. But actually it would be interesting if he masters an imperfect version as a master, and begins burning his lifespan. This could be because his difficulty reaching the Sage realm is just too much, and he has ran out of significant paths to grow as a master. Thus, he bets his very lifespan to acquire the power to become a sage, putting himself on a timer. Anyways just an idea. Hope you’ll read this. Thanks for the chapter.

Hope he made a last minute “contraception” martial art with his forge 😂

Gonna be really angry if he just ends up having a kid with some woman he met today. Harems are a novel killer for me. I don’t mind hookups at all, but if he is starting a harem now 2.5K chapters in I’m probably dropping which would suck because I love this novel. And if this is how he met his “life partner” I’ll also feel really disapointed. Anyways let’s see how the next chapters go… hopefully he took counter measures.

Idk… really finding this recent stuff quite distasteful. He can just say 1) she tried to kill/imprison me (a squire then) as a master. Something if I recall is against the federations rules. 2) attest it was just two tier 10 techniques that he didn’t know would act that way. And 3) she provoked him by taunting him about event number 1. With a martial sages insight she’ll know all this is truth. While this wouldn’t necessarily acquit him, it wouldn’t make sense for this to not massively downgrade his crimes. The federation must have a highly functional set of rules with plenty of consideration and readonability to allow all martial masters to submit to its rules. Just feels forced. But then again, so does Rui’s loss of control. I know it’s part of “finding himself”. But it’s really quite different than the way he’s been portrayed the rest of the novel. Will be kind of disappointing if finding yourself is just an excuse to let MC stir up a bunch of trouble… Anyways love the novel still. Just some mild complaints with the recent plot
