For those who don’t know. During the 50’s to 90’s there are Tickets to buy things in China. Cloth tickets to buy clothes or bedsheets. Meat tickets. Pastry tickets and sugar tickets. Industry ticket to buy water bottles. Bike ticket buy bike with lots of money. So yea 100kg of rice ticket that’s a rich people. Normally people only get 2kg per person per month. Now you know poor China was during those times. Only teachers and other factories worker able to get some tickets but farmers don’t even think about it. Farmer works by points. When the food was distributed they will get it by points they have worked. Similar to the American mine workers in the old days. If they’re lucky they can sell some of the crops or eggs that allow them to grow privately. Even so no one can grow too much. During that time everything is own by the government. So not many people have private property. They can, just not business. All those private businesses were allowed and recorded by the state. Not until the 1980’s government started to give out private ownership certificates for all businesses.
