The reality is that he's trained his elite troops to already act this way. They didn't go above and beyond with help, but they do leave slaves and civilians alone in the name of honor. Ves doesn't personally care about those extra lives, but he does want his troops to remain trustworthy and honorable.
"In neutral circumstances such as these, I will not afford your opponents any sympathy. If you can make them back off without a fight, then that would be best. If they persist despite knowing they will come to blows with us, then they can fault no one but themselves if they lose their lives. Just make sure you do not bear your arms against civilians whenever possible. It is enough to defeat the combatants. You prevented a woman from dying, and she noticed your existence before you departed. The dwarf still lives because of the MTA. The very first mastery experience was also remembered by a guy who tried to look you up, but you didn't exist yet... he'll hear about your name again as you become more popular galactic-wide. You've got problems just lining up from mastery experiences.

Agreed. He dramatically helped the expert candidates advance to expert instantly. However, moving so many from normal soldier to expert candidate with one having almost no spirituality beforehand was beyond his expectations and due to reality overlapping.

I'm actually kind of awaiting this short event.
This caused Ves to make some guesses. Piloting spiritually-enhanced mechs clearly helped, but they were not a critical necessity. Certainly, the astounding battle that involved multiple overpowering god-like entities must have certainly pushed them over the edge, but getting fifteen new expert candidates all at once seemed a bit too exaggerated. - Saylesma1yrReplied to illukras
