I think it refers to the attack from Apocolypse if you consider the attackers' description. So I would imagine it like New York after Loki's attack just on a grander scale.

So let's make something clear, I wasn't sure if Magneto could control vibranium so I seched for it. And there were mixed answers but most sources said he couldn't and there was proof of it from the comics. So I'm going with that. [Author: Apparently, I was not clear about his power. He only has someone's power while they are in his domain, the moment they leave he loses it and their skills but not their skill knowledge. An Example: So, he meets Tony Stark and gains a boost to his intelligence and knowledge about any Skills Tony has. He focuses on making an AI and gets halfway when Tony leaves his Domain, now he no longer has the intelligence boost, but he does have the knowledge to finish the AI, and only the AI. The way the Justice League beat him was with none powered/Item using/Android members but even then, he was hard to defeat as he out-will-powered Green Lantern and dodged Green Arrows shots. If I got the skills of a doctor, I would not just get their medical knowledge. I would get their specialty and experience, if the doctor were a heart surgeon, I would have his skills and experience but at a higher level than them. Yeah, kinda broken right? This is also why I worked so hard to make my tutors' skills my own. Once someone leaves my range, I lose it all unless I make a serious effort to make it mine. Although this novel is not my normal taste, I cannot deny it is well written. You might not like this if you are looking for something that follows the Marvel story from the start, it seems to be AU as it would be after the Civil War but before Thanos, I say this because Vision is still alive and Tony knows about his parents, but they are all together. It is much more about a woman finding love and family in the Avengers and how they help heal her. And yes, there are a lot of intimate moments <cough>. There is not much combat but the combat there is is well written. This, to me, if you are okay with what I described above is well worth the read.

Ah no, well not that I consciously did anyway. I always planned this for him from the start as he is honestly one of my Fav's.
Now he could control which parts of his power were in effect, or none at all. He could also do the same for anyone else. He can now 'erase' himself or anyone else, or just some aspects for example he could be undetectable, but his teammates would at least remember he is on a mission with them now.
