This idea of yours is a weirdly widely spread myth. All swords were sharpened man, period. That's not debatable and we have more than enough archeological evidence to back it. Also, no sword, including a zweihander would be more efficient in crushing than a lucerne. There's a weapon for crushing, it's called a hammer.
Well, for animal, we've been saying spider for a while now. Fits her affinity to using threads and genjutsu and her general shadyness as a shinobi. Also, it looks cool, and it's not been used by anyone before, so you're pretty free on what they're like.
He wont. He can't. That would require him to fix every single core and life force of it's inhabitants, something that he doesn't know the beginning of how to. And we all know this is not going to end with a simpler recon mission. The moment this city was introduced, a tribulation was pretty much confirmed and everyone in it doomed.
Likely, yes. Keeping slaves would not only be a security issue, it would also be incredibly energy inneficient. The slaves would require both food to sustain themselves and reproduce (to keep supply) but also would take from the energy present in the sun, as their life forces would also need to be cracked not to die simply by being in the city. And that's considering that cracked life forces work just as well for the ritual as intact ones. My guess is that there is a raffle every time a child is born, and working High danger jobs (as the father is volunteering for) lowers the chances of the child being chosen.
I mean, yeah, that's 1 every 3 worlds. Considering the ease of travel and intelligent positioning he really is capable of being near or at every important event around. Especially if the event in question could be predicted to happen, like the whole ruins thing.
