I don't understand why there is a fixation on personal strength to get revenge. Isn't he a genius alchemist? can't he use his influence as an alchemist to try to get his revenge? it seems a lot more realistic to use his proven pills and knowledge to build some sort of alchemist organization, instead of using this unknown spirit root, and unknown cultivation talent.
This is what I hoped all system/gacha stories should aspire towards. Fantastic worldbuilding where the author fleshes out the meat behind the summoning system and the lives of the gacha characters within. Even the world seems like it could make sense in a gacha game. The main character and the side character have been super interesting too.
He seems pretty self-aware rather than a loser. I doubt many people who have never gotten into a fight before would be hyped to suddenly fight to the death with someone.
A bit nit picky, but did they have glass they could use to store water back then? Wouldn't it be more like a cup of water?
honestly while this powerup is expected, it would have been nice if the MC stayed weak and had to rely on his brains and subordinates. what's the point of having political power if the MC is just gonna fix everything with magic.
it seems strange to me that such high tier nobles would have roommates. I can understand for plot purpose, but strictly speaking it's not really in line with the logic of the setting. There should have been some sort of buildup or explanation previous to this.
I find it strange that even though the Duke is so close with the king. his daughter has never met the princess. I would have thought they would be introduced as childhood friends. it feels like somewhat of a plothole. actually just in general the MCs lack of exposure to the other children of nobles feels strange to me.
