They're just setting themselves up for a coalition. Declaring war on a country that is allied with half of the continent and a little nuke. Especially with them ignoring civilian casualties, the people living on the continent won't find much reason to join them.
Atleast the system doesn't interfere with the MC and only provides the skills and the requirements to get them. Unlike majority of system novels where they dictate what the MC does most of the time.
