Goes back to the point that Pikachu is a big fat freaking ? in terms of strength. Sometimes it's fighting legendaries, other times it's getting rolled by basic Pokémon, and other times it is getting caught by Team Rocket.

This is a pretty good TL all things considered. A few points however: The story is originally Chinese, but the names have been altered (makes sense if you consider what the author already said). The story is already up to near 1500 translated chapters of varying quality. If you want a good quality read, you can just wait for the author to get to that point. I look forward to seeing where this Citadel for All will lead for All of Us. (The last sentence is deliberate before anyone asks).

OK author, can you please let people know that was your original interpretation. Kinda sad seeing people being like, "Oh, that's what it meant!" S like, NO, THAT IS NOT WHAT IT MEANS. LITERALLY, GOOGLE IT.

I could've sworn it meant Dragon of Dragons. Double Checked: this interpretation is this fanfic authors interpretation (IE, not official). So, Yeah. Dragon x Dragon, Devil x Devil, Diabolos Dragon, all viable readings according to the author.

By that, I mean magic by the way. Not the spells part, but Kubo never refers to Kido as magic. It is supposed to be considered reishi manipulation. and you can't argue "oh, it makes sense in this story at this time" without clarifying where in the time continuum this falls. Since this is all during Gotei 13 formation it's MILLENIA pre-story. Thousands of years. Then, you have to link how that relates to reality in the real world. What time period is the world of the living in? Because the *word* magic has only been in human history for 2500 years. So there are some massive logical holes in the series from what I can tell. Then again, this is a fanfic, so the author can just be lazy and hand wave with "AU"

I went back and double checked. I can't find any such in universe reference in the original manga OR the Can't Fear Your Own World novels. Kubo DELIBERATELY never uses words like magic when describing Kido. He wrote Bleach to be largely separate from standard fantasy systems. If you know when it was referred to like that, please tell me. I am a big Bleach fan, and would love to find it!

No, seriously, it's not supposed to make sense to a foreign audience, as long as it makes sense to the CN one. Logic isn't important, it's all about injecting a sense of national pride. In this instance, it's "Katanas may be standard in this story, but the MC is a true China man! He uses a Tang! Because Chinese Swords are better, more stylish!" Trust me when I say that this instance of suddenly injected national pride is outright mild compared to some of the sh*t I've seen them do. Heck, I've seen stories where to inject nationalism, they have the MC rebuild the Chinese empire and imperial system inside anime worlds.

nah fam, it's just the CN in the fanfic bleeding through momentarily. it's a habit of CN authors, they need to put SOMETHING into their stories to glorify China, so that 1. they can be more popular with their readers 2. so they face less strict regulations from the government. Anything that raises China's image in these stories makes it slightly less likely to get your story banned and removed by the powers that be.
