I really appreciate the effort you've put into the details of the world's magic system and the learning curriculum. it's quite interesting to read about, you feed it to the reader at a pretty nice pace too so far and have made it easily understandable. Well done.

Feels incredibly forced. As far as character development or growth goes it's not very organic, it feels very forced indeed. Systems that control the main character are distasteful, the main character now appears like someone who is unable to make their own decisions and mistakes without some higher power punishing them for it. Systems should always be an extension of the main character that support them in whatever they do imo, controling your protagonist with them is never a good idea.

Now this just seems like bad writing. unless there's a huge reason for this I'm going to be very disappointed. It makes very little to no sense, not to mention it's absolutely not his responsibility and makes no sense. Are they his guardians or not, give me a break. He's basically being punished for helping save the town.

Up to this point the "System" has been nothing but annoying. Comes off as trying to manipulate and control his life with quests, with ridiculous punishments rather than reacting to things actually happening and giving opportunistic quests suitable for the situation. Now this... Gonna drop for now.
