Writers make mistakes, shanks losing the arm was a mistake. (that's all people got against him anyway). Masashi Kishimoto has made his fair share of them (hints for the blind: kage bunshin, space-time ninjutsu, etc.) BTW I just realised my comments make me seem like a Naruto hater, I prefer Naruto 169%, I just think people are fools for "worshiping" Madara, and that he is highly overrated.

He was insulted in a bar and just laughed it off He split the sky just by clashing his sword with another Yonko He stopped a war just by showing his face

All the changes depended on luck. After all, it was called Random Points, so the outcome was entirely random, hence it was still acceptable. Maybe if he completed a Bronze or Silver Mission, the points that he received might not be that random anymore. - Lotfi3yrCommented
