Overall, still tops for being one of the heavy hitters in chinese webnovel world. The recent donghua adaptation is rushed af. Story takes places in Victorian era so London setting with canes and dresses. Here we have Zhou Mingrui, a modern dude who transmigrated into Klein Moretti, a graduating student. The family hovers around the lines of poverty and the first volume spend a long time to build up the world and introduce lots of info relevant for future arcs. I dropped it once and picked it up when had some free time a few years ago. It's interesting to see a different power level system via potions and the difficulty in acquiring ingredients. Entering the beyonder world depends on luck and connections rather than talent and sometimes it may not be a good thing... This book opens the entry for me to delve into mild horror elements and participating in major events that connects well. A criticism would be the insane power scaling towards the end of the novel and I got lost keeping track of who has what abilities, equipments and the exact stage they're at since the closer we're heading to the end, there's more exp boost for them (loosening of barriers and more deaths). Due to the rampant clo- attention seeking trolls on the Internet riding this for fame and money, it's best to avoid looking up for answers and read the wiki only after you're done with the whole novel. There was a period of misinformation being spread to counter the spoilers which was quite funny in my pov. Enjoy and good luck.
Would be way better to read -ve reviews at NU since we're unable to filter in here
Late review. Had to drop it due to translation quality becoming worse around chp 300+ back then. Lazy to read raws so read the manhua until it's finished (skip at the end). Story tells of protagonist unlocking a system after a near death encounter and have to aggravate others to earn points for lottery and shop. Kind of a cheat to have no barriers in breaking through or learning techniques. Was interesting during the first half but humor became repetitive and side characters became more annoying especially after reaching A rank and restart everything. Author suffers the same plight as korean authors - interesting premise, hard to sustain climax then weak or disappointing endings. Forget about the romance or harem. Take it purely like a power fantasy just in modern civilization and not xianxia.
Quick Transmigration yuri work that was interesting but fell off after repeated hiatus from author's messages. Comparable to Top Management.
After 2 yrs, we get an update for a new work. Reminds me of merryweather
Interesting. I'll bookmark and read it later.
Recommend similar one - monk
No, he don't. He knew his father's weak point is him looking for his biological parents and he used that excuse to go do secret lab exercise. All the fame and glory can't be compared to what's already lost.
Complete first. There's a reason why this is called a sequel.
Anime will be out next year or so
