I'm a Little Rich Woman (4)

Song Dongyi pretended that no one was home and ignored the rough voice. However, they seemed to be very persistent, and as time went on, the strength of their banging on the door became stronger and stronger. Song Dongyi was really worried that they would break the already loose door.

"Who is it?" Song Dongyi was helpless.

"Demolition team, have you decided to move?" A boorish male voice rang out. His tone was very aggressive, mixed with thick impatience.

"I haven't decided yet," Song Dongyi frowned.

The person outside the door was silent for a while before gradually leaving.

Song Dongyi found it strange. It was actually the demolition team.

She thought that they were here to settle scores with them.

Was this place going to be demolished? Indeed, she had not heard of it.

When night fell, Nan Qiumo and Nan Shuoting returned. Nan Shuoting sat down on the chair dejectedly.

Nan Qiumo stood silently at the side, and the atmosphere around him froze.

"At noon, the demolition team knocked on the door," Song Dongyi said.

"You let them in?" Nan Shuoting was a little flustered.

Song Dongyi shook her head."No, but they're very aggressive. They might come again tomorrow."

Nan Shuoting sighed."Yuanyuan, it's not that we don't want to tell you, but…you've seen this shanty town for yourself. Although it's really backward, our assets are all here. Now, we're moving out just like that, and we're only giving the rough parts without paying. Who would be willing to do that!"

"Which company did this?" Song Dongyi frowned.

Nan Qiumo looked up at her.

Nan Shuoting was stunned. She waved her hand."I heard it's a very large company. It's called Yun Yi Real Estate."

Song Dongyi frowned. This was too much of a coincidence...

The real estate under her family's name... seemed to be called Yun Yi.

[Host, it's your family.]

Although she didn't expect her company to do such a despicable thing, there was indeed a possibility of solving it.

"Auntie, don't be anxious. We'll think of a way."

Song Dongyi poured a glass of water for Nan Shuoting.

"Come with me to cook." Nan Qiumo entered the kitchen.

"Me?" Song Dongyi realized that Nan Qiumo was talking to her, so she comforted Nan Shuoting and went to the kitchen.

"Can I wash the vegetables?"

Although she was a little unhappy with the way the target was ordering people around, but…

Alright, on account of his good looks.

Song Dongyi took a handful of vegetables from Nan Qiumo's well-defined hands.

She tilted her head in confusion. Was it because the green color…looked white? Why did Nan Qiumo's hands look like pig trotters when compared to hers?

The more Song Dongyi looked at it, the more disgusted she became.

Nan Qiumo felt better as she watched the girl wash the vegetables quietly.

He felt that he should thank her for what happened yesterday, but he tried to move his lips, but he couldn't say a word.

……

Before the meal was finished, there was another knock on the door.

"Who is it?" Nan Shuoting asked.

"Old Wang from next door!"

"Our neighbor, Little Wu!"

"Opposite Xiao Li!"

……

When Nan Shuoting heard this, she knew that it was those people who were looking for trouble again. Knowing that she couldn't stop them, she opened the door openly.

A group of people rushed in. Nan Qiumo put down what he was doing and walked to the door. His indifferent eyes swept across the provocative crowd.

It really ruined his mood.

"Nan Shuoting, we are neighbors. When the children play together, we don't mind if they bump into each other, but look!" Old Wang, who was next door, pulled his son to him. His head was wrapped in thick gauze.

"Isn't this a little too much!"

Nan Shuoting naturally knew what was going on. She crossed her arms in front of her chest and refused to give in."Your son is injured. Why didn't he go to the hospital? Why did he come to our house?"

"Nan Shuoting, don't play dumb!" Xiao Li pointed at her.

"Look at your son's face. Didn't he get beaten up in a fight?"

"My son accidentally fell down the stairs the day before yesterday!" Nan Shuoting mocked.

"You! If you don't admit it, we'll sue you! Sue him to the village and leave a criminal record. Let's see how your son will survive in the future!" The neighbor, Little Wu, was smart. He threatened Nan Shuoting with a few words.

She didn't know the law, so she didn't have the confidence.

"I did." Nan Qiumo's voice was a little hoarse.

"They deserved it."

The crowd instantly exploded. They were here to pick a fight, and now they were being provoked by Nan Qiumo! Hence, they started to criticize Nan Qiumo, and the scene went out of control.

Song Dongyi was lured out by the noise. When she saw Nan Qiumo almost falling, she pursed her lips and threw a plate in front of everyone.

"Pa!" The crowd froze for a second.

"I also made a move."

The girl's voice was calm, without a trace of emotion.

Nan Qiumo frowned.

"I don't believe it!" Old Wang, who was next door, was in disbelief. "You're just a weak little girl. How could you beat my son up like this..." Before she could finish her sentence, her foot slipped and she was pinned to the ground by Song Dongyi.

The crowd instantly fell silent.

"Do you believe me now?" Song Dongyi stood up.

"You? We have no grudges against each other. Why did you hit my son?" The neighbor, Little Wu, asked.

Song Dongyi lowered her eyes and remained silent.

Old Wang stood up from the ground. His eyes were filled with anger."You brat! How dare you throw me!"

As she spoke, she came over to push Song Dongyi.

Nan Qiumo stood in front of her and blocked Old Wang's hand.

"Move aside!" Old Wang next door widened his eyes.

Nan Shuoting saw the tense atmosphere and quickly came out to ask,"Why don't you ask why your son was beaten up?".

"Hmph!" Old Wang snorted."Shouldn't you be asking your son?"

Nan Qiumo sneered.

Even if he said that this group of people had attacked first, as long as they refused to admit it, he could shirk all responsibility.

In front of him was just a mob.

Song Dongyi pursed her lips and pushed the tall man in front of her away.

Then he lowered his head and said,"No grudges?" Her eyes turned slightly red as she spoke.

"When they…bullied me, why didn't you say that there was no enmity between us?"

Old Wang next door was speechless.

Neighbor Xiao Wu: "!!"

Opposite Xiao Li: "!!!"

In the slums, such things did happen in private, but no girl dared to say it in front of so many people like Song Dongyi. Their face was more important.

Nan Qiumo was stunned and pursed her lips tightly.

However, the girl in front of them was indeed very beautiful. Her son probably knew that too. Everyone instantly lost their confidence and only whispered.

"No! Dad, we didn't bully her!" The boys were all shocked. Finally, one of them reacted and shouted that he was innocent.

This girl…how could they dare to bully her!

Song Dongyi sniffed."I know. No one wants to admit this, but what happened is what happened... I don't want to pursue it..."

[Don't doubt it. The Oscar belongs to you.]

"Thank you."

These words made it seem like this group of people were extremely shameless. The young lady did not pursue the matter, but the men actually went to the house to make a fuss.

"Um…We didn't understand the situation…" Xiao Wu, the neighbor, smiled.

"Dad, I really didn't bully her!"

"Shut up!" The neighbor, Xiao Wu, shouted fiercely.

"Whether or not he really bullied you, we can only listen to your side of the story. Besides, it's not right for Nan Qiumo to hit someone, right…" Old Wang, who was next door, just couldn't get over this hurdle.

"You..." Song Dongyi pointed at Old Wang next door. Her face was deathly pale, and her eyes were filled with disbelief and pain, causing everyone's hearts to clench.

Old Wang next door blushed and did not dare to stay any longer. He pulled his indignant son away.

The crowd didn't dare to say anything else and scattered. Nan Shuoting hadn't recovered from her shock yet. She anxiously grabbed Song Dongyi's hand."Yuanyuan, did you suffer? This bunch of brats, I will definitely seek justice for you!"

Song Dongyi's heart warmed."No, I lied to them. Auntie, don't worry."

Nan Shuoting was stunned. She patted Song Dongyi's hand, feeling sorry for her."Thank you, child. It's been hard on you."

Nan Qiumo pinched the corner of her shirt and went into the kitchen.

Song Dongyi quickly followed him in.

Nan Qiumo stood silently beside the chopping board, her hands cutting the green peppers mechanically, making Song Dongyi's heart tremble.

"Nan Qiumo? What's wrong with you?"

Nan Qiumo placed the kitchen knife on the chopping board and exhaled.
