this situation will go on for like 5 more chapters before return to Scott and Stiles. Amd the reason for all of this because i want to introduce Jacob very well because he has a very important role in the future.

But yeah i get where is this coming from.

From Scott PoV if someone asked him for help and begged him to save a family member and he ignore it just because he doesn't like that's person family member so yes he will see himself as a soulless monster.

He saved Damon because Stefan begged him to it and promised him to lock Damon up. That's whay he did it because someone like Stefan who turned on his own brother and tried to save his life was begging for him and asking for his help.

Good story overall and interesting one. But what bothers me that Tony didn't take eresponsibility on Mark after confirming that Mark is his son; that's not in Tony's character plus there's no Action to that point; i mean it's in Marvel universe and MC suppose to have a system that give him superman's power and abilities insted the mc just a small cruel version of Tony. And MC killing 6 people at 5 and no one talking about it or even worried doesn't make sense to me especially his mother i mean the kid just killed 6 people and went through a live and death situation and all whay she is caring about is a party that's so dumb to me and Also mc acting like it's a normal thing and have no physiological draw back from it doesn't make any sense to me even if he had super brain; i hope mc doesn't turned into sociopath because he has Superman's power one of the greatest super hero of all time and mc really should have superman as an example for having his power and how he deals with it. But overall it's really a good read and i enjoyed reading it.
