I get that. if you are new to this, trust me you get used to it and even understand a bit about the culture. been reading chinese translated novels for a decade now and it took a while for me.
is there any measurement to how much abuse is considered acceptable or how much poison one should drink everyday? are you a teenager? no amount of abuse, physical or mental, little or big is acceptable. and how do you know i didn't stop reading it. my opinion.. just like you have yours. if you can't stand it become a hermit.
good you are not opinionated about it. I find it hard to accept that just because she’s the FMC, her past actions are being excused. Being the main character shouldn’t automatically justify wrongdoing. The so-called “villain” is held accountable, but the FMC was equally at fault in many ways. Why are readers expected to sympathize with her or see her as a good person? She was a grown adult and should be held accountable for her choices. If her mistakes can be brushed aside, then extend the same understanding to her villainous ex, no? he's declared a villain so lets hate him. she's a naive girl who's the MC, she was adult and in love so she deeply and irreversibly and REPEATEDLY hurt her family. poor her. she's a good person. she took her brother's job and let the ex have it, see her family fall apart while she served her ex. that ex did not force her to hurt her family.. those were her decisions. to repeatedly harm her family for him. She chose actions that caused them pain. And if she couldn’t even recognize that, then that reflects a deeper failure on her part. It feels less like redemption and more like selective justification. I stopped reading it btw. you can tell me if its worth picking it up or giving it a second chance. leave a comment here and ill think if I want to try again. ✌️

lol why should jia nine enjoy the merit of someone else's good work? and why does she get a second chance when she didn't care for her family causing their miserable downfall. why does she get a chance to be a good person. if her indifference and deliverate actions that hurt her family can be overlooked painting her as victim then the wen guy should also get a second chance. are we turning perpetrators into victims now? reading this only because it's free. imma drop it after 6 hours.
FMC doesn't just lack a spine but also character. she is the definition of helpless pathetic whiny woman with 0 self respect. it was hard to read even the first 6 chapters. dropped it. truly pathetic FMC
I don't think i can read this.
Even in the synopsis, the male lead comes across as deeply selfish: everything revolves around how he can be a good father and how he can get his mate back to support him. There’s no real accountability, no regret, no remorse, and not even a hint of sincere effort to earn her forgiveness. That lack of growth or responsibility made the story impossible to continue.. and lol the abuser should know about pregnancy was absurd disappointing and utterly stupid.. lol ii laughed and stopped the book right there
what the F do you mean "not that bad"? he made sure you wouldn't wake up from coma!!! he was cheating on you while you lay unconscious!! how is he not bad?? what is BAD in your eyes!!!
