Huh, this was a surreal experience. I can now count on my fingers the number of historical stories I've finished; this is the first one that actually stayed true to its original purpose, and the main character didn't become an irresponsible dimwit. Wasn't abandoned indeed; finished with an epilogue in a few days, though the description of the character's physical appearance and the time is lacking; there were points where I was left wondering how old Marcus is, or what year it is.

Overall a pretty good novel. It tends to jump around a lot and the ending definitely feels rushed, but regardless it’s still very solid.

I'm also trying to keep the football side as accurate as possible, especially the real matches, squads and players from the era. Dude Nice work. A very good idea to use Mahoraga in Marvel. Although I think you should have started on Earth instead of Sakaar. Still I hope Caleb quickly reaches Earth. This has given me an inspiration, man and I think I will write a new fanfiction based on same idea but I will make my MC start on Earth. Hope you don't mind it.

Honestly, I think Mahoraga's adaptation was either the perfect ability or the wrong ability depending on what direction you're planning to take this story. If this is mainly going to be a world-building, kingdom-building, adventure and romance story, then I actually think it's a great choice. The MC can gradually encounter different phenomena, adapt to them, and over time become an incredibly versatile character. But if this story is mainly going to be about fights and power progression, then I think you may have shot yourself in the foot with this ability. The problem is that Mahoraga-style adaptation creates a very strange situation for combat. If the MC can survive an opponent's attacks, then the fight eventually becomes predictable: he gets beaten or struggles at first, the adaptation kicks in, he develops counters to what hurt him, and eventually he wins. The opponent isn't really fighting him anymore; they're basically giving him the opportunity to evolve. On the other hand, if the opponent is vastly above him and can completely destroy or erase him before the adaptation can take effect, then the MC simply dies. That's especially problematic in Marvel, where the power scaling gets ridiculous. Even if the MC eventually reaches universal levels, Marvel still has beings and entities operating far beyond that, along with reality, soul, conceptual, dimensional and existence-based abilities. There's always going to be something stronger or something that he can't simply adapt to by becoming physically tougher. Unless the author starts giving him things like resurrection, adapting after death, or adapting to phenomena before they're actually used against him, eventually he'll hit a wall. And if those abilities suddenly appear whenever necessary, it risks becoming plot armor rather than adaptation. That's also why I think slowing his growth too much is a serious problem. If the story is going to focus heavily on fighting, then this ability needs to have meaningful and increasingly noticeable growth. He's already spent two months as for chapter 12 I think deliberately having Korg punch him, increasing the strength from lower percentages all the way to maximum. On top of that, his adaptation should be creating a snowball effect through increased durability, healing, pain tolerance and the ability to develop counters to whatever is harming him. After two months, being around 40 tons still feels very slow for an ability that is supposed to become stronger through repeated adaptation. If the intention is to have slow, incremental growth while also making fighting the main focus, then I honestly think the ability choice has worked against the story. With Mahoraga's adaptation, you either need the MC's growth to eventually accelerate and snowball, or you need the story to focus more on exploration, world-building and accumulating different adaptations. Otherwise the fights risk becoming either "MC survives long enough to adapt and eventually wins" or "the opponent is so far above him that he dies before adaptation matters." So for me, the ability itself isn't the problem. The problem is how it's being used. For a long-term world-building/adventure story, I think it's an excellent ability. For a fight-focused story where the MC's growth is deliberately kept slow, I think it may end up being one of the worst choices for the type of story the author is trying to write. The writing quality I have no issue with, but would like to know the direction you are going with this ability, with marvel it's either he dies instantly or wins eventually.

It’s good but I’m concerned cause author said that there is only a few more chapters of this arc left. Does that mean that tensura is going to be cut short, rushed or will you come back to it later? All I will say is I’d prefer you take you time with tensura and do it properly without jumping back and forth or rushing it just to include other stories. Yes I want to see other stories as well but just do the one you started properly before moving on. Also the flashbacks… please stop… for most it’s just gonna be a random side story about characters we haven’t even met yet or care about. But I understand that you’ve stopped doing them. So, good.👍 But Yh I really like this so far and the tensura arc has been great with the MCs inputs and just overall well written and I can’t wait to see what you actually do with this story. I was harsh is the ratings more than I should’ve been cause I’m concerned like I said when you mentioned that there weren’t many chapters left of this arc. But Yh I’ll probably come and change this review then, we’ll see how it goes.

Good Fanfic... Just, the translator is ruining it... again. After chapter 110, random characters started popping out of nowhere; they are characters from Detective Conan, but they aren't supposed to be in many of the scenarios.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Honestly, this is probably the best Super Gene fanfic I’ve ever read. The story, pacing, characters, and the way you expanded on the Super Gene world made it incredibly hard to put down. I’ve read a lot of fanfics, and very few have managed to keep me this invested. It genuinely hurts to see such a great story put on hold, especially when there was clearly so much more potential left to explore. I completely understand wanting to start a new project, but I really hope you’ll consider coming back to this asap. If there’s any chance you’re willing to continue it—or even if you’d be open to discussing the story privately—I’d honestly love to hear from you. I’d be more than happy just to talk about where you intended to take it and what you had planned for the characters. Please don’t let this one disappear. There are readers who are still here waiting for it. 🙏 Whatever you decide to write next, I’ll support it, but I sincerely hope we haven’t seen the last of this story.
