Marcus lazed around before getting up started looking around as he saw a floating sphere in the air. The sphere was crystal like with dark blue shade as it spun around. Marcus appraised the sphere to find out it was the core that made the entire forest teleport.

[Marcus you could have me absorb this.]

"What would be the point and benefit in doing it?"

[First this is the core and it is connected to the 1 million km wide forest letting it teleport everywhere. If I absorb this it can fuse with the core stored for your floating island and you will now have a complete base that spans 1 million km.

 To put it simply is that you have a core right now, but it is not connected to a base. The base is what is used to grab the land and hold it together and allow the core energy to spread through it to teleport, levitate, and etc.

You will now have a complete base and won't need to purchase one after I absorb this as the base is just as expensive if not more expensive than the orb, however, it also means the forest will not move anymore. Would you like me to absorb it?]

"Yes."

Dream absorb it and he gained the entire base/foundation as Dream expanded the model blueprint by 3 times in order for the base to work with giving him no charge for everything expanded. 

Marcus went around the room finding blueprints, materials, castes, books on the dungeon and monsters, and some other items and books about different professions. Marcus put everything except for the books in the palace as he took each book and started to read them.

He managed to read all the books. The books contained information on professions like a tamer, blacksmith, dungeons master, and etc along with the different forms, postures and etc. 

After reading them all he gained an understanding of how to do different things at their peak in this universe. Dream told him that he gained a new trait that would let him learn all professions at a faster rate 2 times a faster rate than before until he reaches the level of where the books he read stopped at.

She told him that since he understands everything in the books he can absorb the books as it would give him the experience of the writer making learning 4 times easier, but he had to pay a total of a million of his points for all of them. He decided he would as he told Dream to do it with him learning things 4 times faster now.

Marcus search not finding anything useful as took all of the beds and furniture and put it into his universe since they were all nice before coming to a black and pink door with words on it saying CORE. Marcus decided to go in since he finishes exploring the room and was curious about the room that said core.

Dreams are one of the pleasant things people enjoy the most as it contains their wildest imaginations where what they want can be fulfilled that many enjoy and look forward to, but not all dreams are good as they can be "harmful"too.

After that conversation with sister Christina, Reid wondering if he can get those abilities if he training his power like the power that he already leaned, like teleportation and telekinetic power. And as sister Christina suggested, Reid start to find the references of those kinds of power in the library, although there's internet which can help him search what he's looking for faster, Reid is not accustomed to the internet, moreover, he doesn't have his own PC. With the book in the library, he can come and go even the library was already closed with his teleportation power.
He always brings some book from the library to his room, read it the whole night, and return it to the library the next morning before the library open. From that book, Reid learns many things that happen in the past, and how scary that power if misused. For example, Reid read about a man named Rasputin which with his clairvoyance ability able to give him the power to influence the Russian last Tsar from Romanov dynasty. The other example is Joan D'arc for the vision ability, and what tragic end which caused her to die in the age of nineteen.
Reid boarding his reading by start reading unsolved phenomenal that recorded in the book. He just realized there are many occasion which can't be explained by science. Like self-combustion, where people suddenly get burned without any fire nearby. Reid believe this is some kind of uncontrolled pyro kinesis ability, which makes Reid take extra precautions when he will train this ability later.
This reading activity surely makes Reid become lack of sleep, which caught by sister Christina eyes. She gives Reid a friendly reminder to Reid's health
"Reid, lately you look sleepy and your eyes always red, there's also eye bag on your face. What are you doing lately?"
"I read a lot of book before I sleep, Sister"
"Oh, do you interesting to study another ability, don't you?"
"Hahaha…I just curious with those abilities that sister mention before"

Thankfully, for these several days, there's no single incident happened to the orphanage.  Reid also almost read all the books related to witchcraft in the history, still, it doesn't give him answer how these people in the past who called witch or wizard acquire their power. Crave for the knowledge, Reid starts to take books that related to modern science. For start he takes many books of physics and chemistry like combustion system and chemical compounding.
'If in the past people called supernatural power as witchcraft, maybe because they don't understand the physic principles that used by that supernatural phenomenon… I hope modern science can answer or at least give me basic principles for this supernatural phenomenon'…that's what Reid's thought.
Reid diligently read all those books and has some understanding about physic laws that govern this world. Like oxygen needed to make a fire, hydrogen is flammable gas and water consisting of oxygen and hydrogen atoms.
"Interesting, two combustible gases when combined create something that can extinguish the fire. If water can be broken down into oxygen and hydrogen molecules, maybe people will not worry about scarcity of oil as fuel. With electrolysis water can break down into oxygen and hydrogen but need electricity to do that…wait human body also produce electricity, even nerve system also using body electricity to deliver brain command…interesting. If I can use body electricity to break down the water vapor in the air then make some heat to ignite the oxygen and hydrogen…I can create fire just from the thin air!"
Reid's commenting this after reading many books about physics and chemistry. He didn't realize that his brain now can thinking and processing information faster than before, thank for the incident in that lab, he just didn't realize it yet. If he studies in formal school maybe he will be called a genius because of his brain capacity to process information faster than normal human being.

So i died… I am a bit sad but yet with a lot of relief. 
"This world. What kind of world is it and how did i get here?" i asked while looking down on my hands. Somehow, they are different than it was on earth. Was it possible i got a new body aswell or was i just imagining things? 
"I will tell you how you got here, but the rest must you find out yourself. When you died i took your soul from earth and transferred it into a new body. Perfect for what you need to do on your new adventures". I got up on my feet and it felt as if i was taller and with much better balance than before. Somehow i got my sense back and there it hit me, my body was as if it was an elite athlete and i could move way faster than normal. But when i looked down, i found out that i was naked and began to hide my personal jewelries.. "Uhmm. Could i get some clothes before doing anything else" saying while looking at the cat.

"Hum… Humans are so worrisome when it comes to such things". The cat lifted its paw and some clothes appeared out of nowhere. Magic. I thought to myself if i could do that too but that would be to another time. I took the clothes on and it seemed really weird but at the same time, this was a whole new world i needed to get used to. 

The clothes were black with brown boots. Black pants and shirt with some kind of leathery coat…. Is this the type you wear in this world if so this is really different but still, when i think about all those Cartoons or mangas, they all wear this type when it comes to "Transporting to another world" stuff. 

After putting it on i asked "What now?". The cat looked at me and said "Begin reading." Out of nowhere -i should just start reading?... But where do i begin or how many books should i read? I kept thinking if i had to read all those books that must take years to finish and i would never leave this place until then?

"Where do i start" was the only thing i said and the cat looked at one huge book laying on the table "This one" she responded. 

I went over to the book and opened it. The first piece of paper was filled with signs and numbers i never seen before but somehow i could read it clearly. Actually i could read it so fast i had trouble keeping turning the papers.

"Heh." did i hear from the cat. "Seems like you noticed that you can read 20 times faster than you could in your past life. Come to me when you have read them all and we will see what we can do from there on". I thought she was joking… Even if i had 20 times faster reading speed, it would still take a couple of months finishing all those books. I got a bit worried and asked "what about food and water?". The cat looked at me with this scary face as if she would kill me if i where ask for anything else, "read quickly it said" and layed down on the floor as if it would go to sleep. After the look on its face, i nearly peed my pants of fear and just began to read that book.

The flipping pages are more faster than usual judging from the noise that covered the whole place together with the waves of the water below the bridge. She only read the words silently by her eyes then flip the page.

After she read the last page of the 6th book, she then check the time. ' I'm getting more and more faster compared to a year before. I can only read 4 books by then.'

She wash herself and started to prepare her things. 'Pens, pencils, paper, notebook, the borrowed books... Done.' she ate her breakfast, wear her shoes then started to walk again.

She goes to school with the same set of her uniform that she washed at night after she came back from work. She do this all the time because she only have one set of uniform. She walk to the school for about an hour with a same pace as yesterday, with her things in her backpack for her borrowed books.

'I need to return these books and borrow another for me to understand this lesson completely.. so i need to go to the library first.' Lucky to have the library building is just beside the college building 

I enter the gate of the school and see the guards. I greet them 'Good morning'as my everyday routine and continue my way in library building. The building is at the farthest place from the gate so I need to walk another ten minutes to get there.

I have arrived early and can only see a few students at the canteen eating their breakfast. ' It's just another day so I must not envy them for what they have.. ' I reminded my self when I stare at the delicious beefsteak from the plate of one of the student.

I took a deep breath and I continue to walk and arrive at the front of the elevator of the library building, push the arrow up button and wait for the door to open. "Good morning" I said as I walk inside the elevator to greet the person who operates the elevator.

She knows me well that I will just ignore her when she start talking and will never respond to if she ask question so she just smiled at me. She started working here at the same time as I start to study here and  I am the only one who keeps on greeting her every morning from her day one.

The door almost started to close but then a person started to shout " Waaaaaiiiit " with a bag running towards the elevator

The elevator operator got upset but she open the door and still smile at the student that was wearing the same white uniform as me but wearing a black slacks.. ' he is my classmate.. But why is his slacks a fitted one?.. did he borrowed it from her sister?.. but I don't think he has a sister...' my face still void of any emotion began to think.

' Oh! I remember him. he is the guy who got the highest score on the previous quiz so he must be good at studying'.. ' He got a rich and humble parents but why have an arrogant personality? ' I go out from the elevator when it stops at the 4th floor and thank the elevator operator. She just nod at me and close the elevator once again.

I push the door and walk in the library and the quiet room began to get a little noisy. The students stared at me again and start whispering. 'Why are they so worked up early in the morning and I am here everyday so did they say the words that they said yesterday?'.. I just sigh and go to the librarian that has a smile on his face like yesterday and the day before yesterday and everyday.. I just find it weird that he is smiling all the time when i got to see him to return and borrow new books..

I place the books in front of him then place my bag on an empty table and go to the language section... get six books and borrow it again...

The librarian has a smile on his face again when I approach him with a different books in hand.. 'She borrow 6 different books everyday.. she is such a nerd but a pretty nerd.' "Don't you want to read it here.. you will just read for the whole day to finish those books.. Don't you want the atmosphere here?"

'The librarian always ask the same question everyday like a robot.' 'Where does he think I will get money for my tuition fee if i just seat here all day?' I'm confuse by his shaky hands but didn't mind it at all.. I didn't get angry by his words.

I know that he is a kind man so i just smile at him then go out. 

The eyes of the librarian follow her her until she disappear from his sight.. 'she is so beautiful, why does she let her appearance be covered by her hair?' 'And why does she have no emotion can be seen on her face?'

She's a billionaire by chance.. only by chance

Wrapped in around 5 blankets, a beautiful human potato stared at the medicine filled bowl in front of her as if she was facing her worst enemy.  Her eyebrows were clenched in concentration as she thought of a million ways to get rid of the black liquid.

If she tried it would officially be attempt number 10.  

It had been 3 days since Meng collapsed because of her injuries sustained from the empress. The majority of the time she spent laying down, not that it was needed. Master Rong had used spiritual energy to heal her in hours.

However, regardless of how many times she argued this fact it was helpless. Now in the room Rong You had set up, she was stuck with 5 books about cultivation and a snitch. 

Meng directed a harsh glare at Su Lou who was moving items into place. 

The room wasn't a large one and was about the size of two closets. Three pieces of furniture made up the room including the bed, Meng was sitting on. The other two included a night stand and a chair.

It was nothing extravagant, but was still better than her room in her previous life. 

"You aren't done organizing yet?" Meng questioned Su Lou with suspicious eyes. 

Over the last three days it seemed that her 'guard' and Master Rong has become the best of friends.

Not because Su Lou has learned to not want to kill her, but because they both shared the mutual satisfaction in torturing her. Su Lou was given the task to make sure she drunk all of the medicine given to her, which regardless of what they tried was not going to happen.

Meng's glare intensified. Su Lou was clearly only staying here because she wanted to watch over Meng's actions. After all, she has been organizing the same chair for 2 hours...

This betrayal was worthy of death, however sadly she wasn't able to get rid of the traitor with Rong You protecting her.

Sighing to herself, Meng gave up on kicking Su Lou out for the time being. With a resigned look, she picked up one of the books on the night stand and started to flip through it.

It was a basic cultivation book given to her by Rong You to study while she was grounded from moving. 

Basically it was read all of the books or drink the medicine. 3 days were devoted to getting around both, now it seemed it was time she changed her tactics.

Meng's face was filled with distaste as she looked at the book. 

Meng loved to read, however her reading mainly consisted of fiction books. Nothing was interesting about the world around her, therefore why waste time on it?

With forced concentration, Meng processed the words from the book before her eyebrows went up. Her headache from forcing herself to focus went down as she read more of the book. 

Maybe she picked out a wrong book the first time she came to this library... the book she was reading now didn't seem bad at all. 

Navigating her blanket potato body into a more comfortable position, Meng started to sincerely read the book. 

It was about things she could already pull from Defying Moonlight, however it gave a more detailed view of it. It was practically like a break off book from Defying Moonlight. 

The flipping of the pages got faster and faster until the 800 pages book was placed back on the night stand.

Meng Yin, a shut in, dies of a broken heart when the author of a novel kills off her favorite character. She wakes up as a mob character of that very same novel called Ru Gu Meng.

Ultrix sat in his new dorm room still dazed at the number of resources the Academy was suddenly bestowing upon him.

His current dorm was leagues better than his old one and there were even silver tier guards standing guard outside the main gate.

Of course, all of this didn't belong to Ultrix. He was currently staying at a dormitory building that housed all of the special guests of the Academy and it's best students.

Looking through all the runic creation tools yet again, Ultrix ultimately decided to hold back from any testings and headed straight to the main library.

Ultrix realized that his current understanding of combustion was too fundamental so he wanted to read up on some more research before attempting any magic circles.

Looking through the titles, a book called 'Fundamentals of Magic' caught his eye.

It was a fairly thick book and skimming through it quickly, Ultrix found that it had a basic understanding of all types of magic circles with a guide on the most efficient and effective means of drawing them.

Putting aside the book for the time, Ultrix went through the titles again to pick out another book to read. Ultimately, his gaze was drawn towards a book titled 'Combustion Control'.

Ultrix took the book off of the shelf and began reading it as well. Whenever he ran across a method that was mentioned in the book that he was unfamiliar with, he referenced back to his other book on magic fundamentals to compare notes.

After reading for a couple of hours and memorizing a list of do's and don'ts of magic circle drawing, Ultrix decided it was time for him to start applying his knowledge to practical use.

Picking up a piece of dry wood, Ultrix started carving a basic combustion rune onto it.

After a few seconds of carving, the rune was complete.

At first, nothing happened and Ultrix thought with disappointment that he had failed his first attempt. However, after a few seconds, a few sparks shot outwards from the rune.

Ultrix was ecstatic! Although he had not managed to start a fire, he felt like this was a better improvement from his previous attempts before he had read anything.

Reading more on the runic uses and combustion efficiency guide, Ultrix took a piece of paper this time and drew a runic circle on it with flammable ink.

This time the reaction was a lot faster, and hardly after he had completed the circle, the paper ignited and shriveled up quite quickly.

While this was a lot faster than his previous attempt at starting a fire, Ultrix ultimately still felt like it was too slow. He yearned for a method of faster casting but did not know how to improve.

After scanning all of the contents in the library again, Ultrix was just about to give up for the day when a glint in the corner of the room caught his eye.

Walking over to examine the glint, Ultrix realized that it was a book on 'Instantaneous Castings'.

Confused on what 'instantaneous' meant, Ultrix tried to open the book and read it's contents.

However, to his surprise, the book could not be pried open. It was as if all the pages were glued together and formed a solid block.

Feeling quite curious at this point, Ultrix examined the book more closely. Looking at the bookbinding, Ultrix realized that there was a runic circle faintly inscribed into the string.

However, it was a runic pattern that Ultrix did not recognize.

Scanning through the library once again, Ultrix took out all the books he saw which had anything to do with magical paper and books.

At first, Ultrix skimmed through the books, but a few minutes in, he realized it would be even faster if he knew what he was looking for.

Looking back at the design of the runic circle, Ultrix realized that he had seen the format before in the fundamentals book.

Looking through the fundamentals book glossary, Ultrix noticed that there was a section on magic circle encryption that correlated to the magic circle that he saw on the other book.

Unfortunately, although the fundamentals book covered the different types of encryptions, it did not go into depth on all of the methods of unlocking said encryptions.

Looking back through the books on books and magic, Ultrix finally found a chapter on magic encryption.

It turns out, magic encryption was quite a common usage in the world of magic. However, this was confusing to Ultrix as for some reason he had never heard of this term before.

However, after much thought, Ultrix realized that it probably made sense that he would not have known about such a method. After all, the departments that he had learned from were more practical and not very scientific departments.

It would make sense for there to be encryptions required on more important data, but for magic users like Ultrix, such encryptions seemed impractical.

Reading through the book though, Ultrix realized that the process of encrypting a book was not too difficult to learn.

However, there were different tiers of encryption, just like how there were different affinity tiers. Unlike the affinity tiers though, which were separated into bronze, silver, and gold, the encryption tier was simply given numbers with higher numbers meaning higher difficulty.

Luckily for Ultrix, the book that he currently wanted to unlock was only at tier 3.

With the highest tier mentioned in the book being a tier 7, tier 3 was still a relatively simple encryption code.

Without further hesitation, Ultrix started unlocking the book bind.

The process of decrypting a tier 3 was quite simple. All it required Ultrix to do was to rotate the rings of the magic circle in a specific order until they all lined up with each other.

At first, Ultrix was not sure what the book meant with 'turning the circles'

However, after a bit of messing around, Ultrix realized that once a magic circle was put onto an object, it would hover slightly above the original surface almost like a liquid skims the surface that it is on.

Ultrix tried to spin the circles in different ways, but he quickly discovered that the order to unlock the rings could not be done through brute force.

Anyone who simply guesses the order of the rings would temporarily lock the entire rune and the rings would randomize themselves again with a new combination code.

Luckily for Ultrix, the book on encryptions was quite detailed and he slowly solved the algorithm by turning the runic circles.

After turning the final circle in the correct order, the magic circle finally dissipated.

Ultrix was not surprised at all that the circle dissipated. After all, most encryption locks that were tier 3 were one-time usage only.

Once they were broken they had to be redrawn.

Ultrix looked at the book in anticipation. Something that required a tier 3 encryption surely was quite valuable, right?

However, before Ultrix could open the book, he suddenly realized that a new encryption circle had appeared again.

Multi-level encryption? Ultrix thought to himself.

He was not too surprised at this either, the book had mentioned that a lot of magic users liked to use multiple levels of encryption to secure their work in the case that the previous runic circle was depleted of its energy.

Upon closer inspection of the encryption runic though, Ultrix's face turned dark.

"Crap!" He said out loud.

"It's a tier 5 encryption this time?!"

"To be in control of destiny is to understand the laws of nature and the course of human consciousness. To lose sight of consciousness is to fall into the absence of self-awareness and stray from the path of universal equilibrium."

"Did you get that, Ultrix? Or are you too busy setting the workshop on fire again?!"

Chu Yu had wanted to understand this era, and Li Hong Ru was eagerly waiting for the Great Emperor to awaken completely faster in order for the true king to return!

All these books were all brought over.

These books and teachings from an era sixty thousand years ago were sealed in pieces of jade, others written in ancient scrolls.
But simply the fact that these books were written by using the imprint of the laws…...this was something Chu Yu had never seen before.
As to the three realms technique that Chu Yu was cultivating, that was something of an even higher level.
It was an existence that Chu Yu could not even begin to explain at this point of time.
Looking at this large stack of books written using the laws, Chu Yu could only decipher their contents bit by bit.
Though he did not know any of the words, Chu Yu could slowly understand many of the powers of the laws in them.

He had begun to be able to easily read these books.
Then…...he began to read faster and faster.
In the end, it seemed to the others that Chu Yu was just flipping through books nonstop.

A few days ago, in Li Hong Ru's living room where he received guests, a group of esteemed elders and higher beings from Ming Kong City had gathered.
Someone asked a question that went like this.
"After all, the Great Emperor has lived through the various ages. Now that he has reincarnated into this age and returned, he wants to read those books to hunt for his memory. However, the words on those books are all written with the laws - they are heavenly texts. If there is no one to guide him, would His Majesty be able to understand them?"
There were many who agreed with him.
They may have no trouble at all reading those books now, but they remembered the great pains they went through in their youth to learn these words and understand their meanings as though it had happened yesterday.
But Li Hong Ru was not at all concerned about this.
"Don't forget, even if His Majesty has forgotten everything about his past, he is ultimately still our Great Emperor!"
"Just a few books are nothing to His Majesty."
He had said with a smile.
Afterwards he sighed and continued, "His Majesty isn't very willing to accept this truth. We may be connected by fate, but now our Great Emperor has become another person from this era named Chu Yu. That is undeniable."
Everyone in the room grew quiet.
It was tragic.
Being of higher stature themselves, they knew certain things as well.
"It hasn't been easy for His Majesty at all. He has given too much to this vast human realm." An elder sighed.
"Countless years may have passed us by without our knowledge, but His Majesty has had to reincarnate time and again, even forgetting everything from the past and needing these books to understand our era. How heartbreaking it is." Another elder lamented.
Li Hong Ru spoke, "This is why His Majesty must come to a realisation on his own before he can accept his identity and lead us to continue rising in this new age. What we can do is to do all we can to help him."
Li Hong Ru glanced at the people as he spoke, "We have no right to participate in that heavenly war. The three realms have collapsed in this age eons after our own. Yet the human realm remains in chaos, with people even plotting to harm His Majesty!"  
"They're tired of living!"
"Truly, they're courting death!"
"Who dares to plot against His Majesty? We'll eradicate his entire family!"
The collective mood in the room was instantly one of excitement.
It was hard to imagine that the weakest amongst those sitting here were at the peak of Saint Realm. 
Furthermore, cultivators at the peak of the Saint Realm in their era had all lived in a time when the laws were complete.
Their cultivation journey was naturally more successful as well.
In their era, beings of the Saint Realm could be considered strong, but they really weren't strong enough to even think about things like conquering the starry skies.
So many a times, these people did not behave like the higher beings of the Saint Realm from Chu Yu's era.
They were dignified, grave and magnanimous with a broad outlook.
These were limitations of the times with their own pros and cons respectively.
Li Hong Ru waved a hand, and the people stopped conversing and looked towards him.
"As of now, there is only one word to describe what we must do." He said.
Someone asked, "Wait?"
"Wait my foot" 
Li Hong Ru shook his head and smiled faintly, "Fight!"
The large man who had been the earliest to interact with Chu Yu that day grinned, "I like this idea!"
But many others looked at Li Hong Ru in confusion.
Li Hong Ru explained, "His Majesty returned to unseal our city and granted me a new lease of life that should have already been lost in time. From the bits and pieces I have gathered from His Majesty, I know that someone is out to oppose him. In such situations, what do I wait for? If His Majesty says the word, then I'll go through hell to fight for him!"
"Hahaha! That's right, that's right! I have no right to participate in that heavenly war. Who knew that in the blink of an eye millions of years would have passed and those gods and devils would be nowhere to be seen. If the human realm is in chaos, then naturally we'll be the ones to end it! I'll fight whoever that goes against our Great Emperor!" The large man declared loudly.  


The eagle soars through the sky; the fish leaps over the dragon's gate; the bear roars and the tiger growls; all things in the world have a spirit. At the ends of Earth, the poles and magnetic field re-align; the world changes. The world that we were so used to, is no longer.

When myths turn to reality; when legends are no longer enigmatic, the world is now limitless.

Sun faded into the horizon and replaced by the moon.

The night is calm and quiet except for the rustling sound coming from Leon's bedroom. 

It's the flutter of the turning pages, but it was so fast as if they were rifled by the wind. 

Leon's red eyes wander around the page furiously. He only needs one second before he flips the next page.

Two minutes later, he throws the book behind him.

-Plop-

The book plopped right atop the second tower of books. He only needs a few more books to create the third tower.

After Leon asked Tatsuya about the result of the terminal hacking, he finds himself in a race against time.

It turns out Tatsuya only reported Blanche's intelligence to the authority and didn't do anything else. 

The siscon bastard, Leon cursed as he flips the pages faster and faster until the three tomoe on his eyes changed their pattern into a pinwheel.

The more he thinks about it, the angrier he becomes. This made the pages flutter faster than the wind could flip them, yet the words are still clearly captured by his eyes.

He should have known that Tatsuya won't do anything to the terrorist as long as Miyuki's safety is not at risk.

Leon closed the book with a loud bang and opened the front door.

Without giving the person a chance to say anything, Leon snatched the fancy box from the man in uniform and immediately slammed the door right in his face, then walked back toward the study room, ignoring the curses coming from the door.

The box is quite big and it's filled with books, but all of them have something in common, it's magic. As long as it has something to do with magic, he bought them all.

In this world, it's rare for someone to read a book as they can access any information by using the terminal.

But it only took a few minutes before he got annoyed and had the urge to smash his terminal. So, that's why Leon prefers to read books, the smell and sound of pages can calm his mind and made him relax. 

Not to mention he can use Sharingan to speed up the process and save a lot of time. 

Now, reading has become a new hobby of him. He finds this activity very fun to do, something unthinkable in his previous life.

Even so, he didn't forget his current priority right now.

The smile on Leon's face faded and his expression became serious as he continues to flip the pages.

The hours went by quickly for him.

The moment he finishes reading all of the books, it was already midnight. There are nine empty boxes and a mountain of books in the study room, which signify that he needs more bookshelf to store the homeless books.

Or he could burn them all.

The thought crossed his mind for a moment due to his incredible memory. 

He can still remember every content of the books in this room. The titles, sentences, words, and every single punctuation.

Leon gives a silent thanks to the system for these new eyes. 

His theory is proven to be correct today. If he didn't activate Sharingan, it would only take a few minutes for him to forget what he read earlier. So it's necessary to activate his Sharingan or Mangekyou if he wants to memorize something important.

Leon blinked his eyes.

There is no aftereffect of using Mangekyou to memorize the books, he just feels a little tired. This is a piece of good news for him.

Still, these things won't be able to reduce his anxiety and worry. He doesn't feel like getting any closer to find out his sister whereabout. 

He had taken a huge risk by disclosing his unknown identity to Kokone and Tatsuya just to find his sister whereabout. 

In the worst-case scenario, he was expecting them to attack him with other clan houses, police, or even special forces if his identity turned out to be a bad guy.

He even bought a travel book which contains many photos of tourist spots in various countries to be his teleportation target.

Leon is confident that no one would be able to catch him If he wants to escape, that's why he did something very risky.

But the problem with Tatsuya in the school made his patience running thin, Tatsuya handed out his only clue that may lead to his sister to the authority without a single word.

He was sure that siscon won't tell him anything if he didn't ask about it even though it's only possible due to his contribution by giving him Blanche's mobile terminal.

Feeling restless, Leon can only pace around the room after he runs out of books to read, trying to come up with another plan to find his sister. 

He can't let anything happen to her, she is the only family he has left.
Not to mention this world is very dangerous for someone like her who can't bring herself to hurt even a single ant, she is too kind. 

Leon didn't dare to imagine what will happen if she encounters another user.

Suddenly, he stopped pacing around and turned to face the bedroom. The moment his sight stopped at the long coat in the wardrobe, he slowly unclenched his hand.

"Ciri... where are you..." he let out an absentminded whisper as he walking around the street with no particular destination in mind. 

At least it's still better than doing nothing at home, but he still can't think of another idea, this made him feeling down.

It's already past midnight, but the place is still bustling with people walking towards various stores and establishment. Sometimes, curses escaped from their lips when Leon bumped into them, but he ignored their protest and continue to walk aimlessly amidst the glittering light of the buildings.

He walked about more than one hour before his step is coming to a halt.

The way in front of him is crowded with people, blocking the street. There are also four police officer among the crowd, asking the witnesses various questions about the attacker.

It looks like a murder scene straight from the movie.

But it has nothing to do with Leon. The authority will be able to handle it by themselves, just like what they always did.

So, he turned back in the other direction, trying to leave the murder scene. But before could take a single step, the conversation between the police officer and one of the witnesses caught his attention.

"She's so pitiful... such a pretty girl... how could anyone bear to do something like this to her..."

"We will try our best to catch the culprit. So, it will be a great help if you're able to tell me something important. You saw what's the man looked like, right ma'am. Can you describe it for me?"

"Oh yes, I saw him, oh dear, what a scary man that was, officer."
"Ma'am..."

"...The man...he had a demon mask on his face, sir. So... I don't know what his face looks like."

"Do you saw anything else?" 

The older woman hesitated for a moment as if afraid of something, but in the end, she tells the officer what she saw.

"... I saw a snake around his neck... I'm pretty sure it was a tattoo... But, suddenly the snake became alive and stood straight in the man's arm. He then... used it like a sword and... stab the girl multiple times... oh dear, what a pitiful girl..."

"Thank you, that was very helpful, ma'am."
"No problem, sir. That uniform she had... she just reminds me of my granddaughter."

"That is the uniform of the first high school... so I think she may go to the same school as your granddaughter."

"My dear, this is so scary, officer."
"Don't worry, ma'am. We will catch the culprit sooner or later."

The conversation between those two people made Leon curious as to who is the girl from the first high they're talking about.

There are hundreds of students in his school, so it's impossible for her to be someone he knew, the chance is very low and yet his heartbeat is starting to get louder by the second he gets closer to the scene.

It was crowded, so he pushed the people out of his way one by one.

The street is dyed red with the woman's blood.

The moment he saw a cracked glasses tainted with blood, his breath caught in his throat. 

Without hesitation, Leon pushed the crowd making them stumble. He ignored their curses and protest and continue to get closer until there is no one around him to push.

When he saw the beautiful woman bathed in her own blood, the color drained out of his face.

"...Impossible... how could this happen..." Leon whispered, unable to keep the disbelief out of his voice.

Leon's life was turned upside down when a question dripping with blood appeared on his brand new PC. He had no choice but to choose "Yes" when his sister mysteriously disappeared from the house after this bloody question keeps popping up everywhere. His mirrors, windows, and even on the kitchen table.
