Rebooted as "Harry Potter Transmigration"


An 18 years old boy has just finished reading what he found as the most annoying series of books ever: the Harry Potter Series. There were two reasons for his annoyance with the series.

One: our MC was also named Harry Potter and he was greatly teased by it.

Two: the main characters in the books were seriously underdeveloped.

"I mean come on, an average guy defeats the most powerful evil wizard alive? Who are you kidding?"

P.S. I do not own Harry Potter. This is purely fan-fiction.

CHAPTER SIXTEEN:


It was amazing how distracting such a revelation could be, Severus decided as he tried to pay attention to his class. He's straight; there's no point dwelling on someone you can't have, he told himself. He was married to Greengrass, for pity's sake! Even so his thoughts kept coming back to the laughing man with a single-mindedness that typically served him well but currently made him want to curse.


Scowling, he yanked Longbottom's arm away from the cauldron before he could add the sweetroot. "Your incompetence reaches new heights every time you step into this classroom, Longbottom," he sneered. "Or are you actually attempting to kill us all? Twenty points from Gryffindor," he hissed. "Add the hornbeam quickly, lest I give you a zero for yet another potion."


Sweeping on, he paused by Potter's table to inspect the potions of the Golden Trio. Granger's was near-perfect, of course; Potter's was acceptable, and Weasley seemed to be managing better than Longbottom, at least. "You will stay after class, Potter," he ordered spontaneously. "Although it appears that your lessons in remedial potions," he drawled, "are doing you some good, you still have a long way to go. Weasley, you will stay behind as well." Not waiting to see their reactions, he moved on to the next table.

"You wanted to speak with us, sir?" Severus looked up to see Potter and Weasley standing in front of his desk – Granger was, as expected, still slowly putting away her things.


"Granger, shut the door and join us," the Professor instructed, and waited until all three of them were in front of his desk before speaking. "You have learned the 'Abscondite' spell?" he checked, naming the spell the time traveler had taught the Order. At their nods he continued, "You will hide this conversation. Earlier this morning Mister Potter-Black and Professor Dumbledore went to destroy an artifact important to the Dark Lord; during this mission the Headmaster was struck by a curse that ensures a very painful death." None of the students seemed at all surprised, though Potter seemed to be wrestling with the fealty potion – he had been drugged most strongly, after all. "I managed to slow the exposure to the curse, and the Headmaster should enjoy another month of life before the curse kills him. I will arrange for a meeting within the month so that we may hear the Headmaster's instructions and plans." In other words, let's question him under Veritaserum, all three students understood, and satisfied smiles curved their lips.


"That is all."


"Thank you, Professor," Granger said, pulling out her wand. The two boys mimicked her movement, and soon all three had apparently successfully cast the 'Abscondite' spell.


"You wanted to speak with us, sir?" Potter asked, acting as though the conversation had never happened, and Severus nodded approvingly.


"I believe I will include Weasley in your remedial potions lessons, Potter," he sneered, "since his incompetence is even greater than yours. Granger, I do not remember asking you to stay behind," he shot her a sharp look.


"Ah – sorry, Professor," the girl stuttered, backing away and stuffing the last of her things into her bag. Watching her with sharp eyes, Severus informed the boys, "You will come to my office at the regular times. Dismissed."


"Sir-" Potter had the temerity to begin, and Severus's eyes snapped to him. The foolish Gryffindor ploughed on, however. "Shouldn't Neville join us too? I mean, he's even worse than Ron..."


"Longbottom is a hopeless case, Potter," Severus narrowed his eyes, "as I am sure you know. Do not question me again."


"Yes, sir," Potter replied stiffly.


"Leave." All three students scrambled to exit his classroom, and Severus waited until they had left before dropping his head into his hands. He had a headache.

By silent agreement the three friends spent the next lesson – History of Magic – reading the books Professor Snape had lent Harry. Ron was perfectly aware of the fact that Professor Snape would have absolutely no patience with him, and as the next lesson was the following evening he would do his very best to be prepared. The other students would be shocked to see Ron Weasley studiously reading a book that evening in the common room, but they'd probably assume that Hermione bullied him into it, so it was all good.


Harry, meanwhile, was struggling with conflicting emotions. One part of him was happy to hear of the Headmaster's injury, but another part of him screamed out that Professor Dumbledore didn't deserve to die; that he was a great man and that they needed him. Harry was sure that that voice came from the fealty potion he was apparently drugged with, but that made it no easier to combat. Eventually he gave up and concentrated fully on his book, resolving to ask Professor Snape for a potion or spell to get rid of the fealty potion.


Hermione was for once completely disregarding the ghost's lecture, focusing instead on the text on how to center yourself and calm your mind. She understood why Professor Snape couldn't teach her as well, and she knew that the boys would be of little help, so the books would have to do. Already she had a foot of notes; she had decided that the best way to learn this would be to treat it as a special assignment for a very strict teacher. Which it is, really, she smiled, jotting down another note.

Harry, meanwhile, was startled out of his thoughts by an owl tapping at the window. Letting the animal in, he relieved it of its burden, and noted with a grin that it was a letter from Gringotts. "Would you like some water?" he offered the animal, but it simply flew away. "Guess not, then."


Cracking the seal, Harry opened the scroll and read it quickly. Tucking it into his trouser pants, he downed the vial of Strengthening potion and slipped the vial of Blood-replenishing potion in beside the scroll. It was time to go to Gringotts.

Three hours later Harry reappeared in his living room and promptly collapsed to the ground, not even registering Dobby's words until a man's voice asked, "Potter, what the devil happened to you?", prompting a spike of pain to pierce Harry's skull.


"Motherfucking headache of all headaches," Harry slurred, feeling like his skull was shrinking, his brain expanding, and a thousand nails being rammed into his head. He was vaguely aware of strong hands rolling him over and wiping the blood from his forehead, hissing at the torn open scar. "You took the Blood-replenishing potion?" Harry wasn't sure whether he managed to reply or not, but then the voice said, "Drink this," and a vial was pressed to his lips. Doing his best to follow the order even as his head was splitting in two, Harry swallowed the potion – and slowly his headache seemed to dissipate, until it only felt like one nail was being nailed into his head, right where his lightning bolt scar was.


"Better?" the man asked, and Harry finally recognized Severus's voice.


"Only one nail now," he answered weakly – then everything went dark.

The vampire Nundu gave the folded newspaper to his partner. Kai unfurled the paper and peered at the many small headlines on it and started to read it. He was reading at the pace of a quick human as he was still adapting to his newly awoken body. 

There were only a few headlines that caught the vampire lord's attention, the first was one that announced the results of Harry's trial. The second was related to the supposed appearance of a Lethifold- a dangerous A class dark creature that was said to rival and, in some cases, trump the Dementors. It was written that Harry Potter said that he was attacked by a Leithold during one of his visits to London.

The third and final subject that caught Kai's attention was a small announcement at the very bottom of the front page. The announcement revealed that there was a new care of magical beasts professor needed to teach for the first half of the year. 

Originally Grubly-Plank was meant to teach during Hagrid's visit to the Giants in mountains, but as he was approaching one of the Court's more secretive settlements full of B class magical beasts that included Giants he was unable to teach that year. Bob had told Kai that the half-giant was on his way to make sure that the Court's branch didn't join the fake blood lord.  

The fake had disclosed the fact that he was going to get the magical beasts help and the order of the Phoenix had heard of it. The fake blood lord had chosen this specific branch as they had announced that they were loyal to the Blood Lord. While most of the wizarding world assumed they were talking about the fake, the high ranking members knew that they were talking about the true Blood Lord- Kai. 

Kai remembered that that specific branch was given a runic circle created by him when he was practising magic. It appeared that it had protected them from the memory changes the rest of the world had experienced. Hagrid had nominated himself to go to persuade the Court's magical beasts to join Dumbledore's side or at least stay neutral. At least that was what Mundungus Fletcher had reported, he was the Court's spy in the Order of the Phoenix. 

The job had sparked Kai's interest as it had caused him to have an alternate way to get close to Harry, without alarming him. He could get close to Harry in many ways as a teacher such as giving him detention or giving him private lessons. He decided to do attempt to go to the interview immediately and would take the job interview with the board of governors. 

He couldn't risk going to Dumbledore as there was a high chance that he wouldn't allow Kai to take the job and perhaps even attack him. This would automatically cause him to lose a good chance to earn Harry's trust or even lose it completely as currently, he was Dumbledore's puppet. 

Kai was sure that the Headmaster of Hogwarts wouldn't‎ allow him to step through the doors of the school. This was because he was a vampire and automatically considered a "dark" creature. However, the main reason was that he would be able to show Harry that not all vampires were evil as the heralded greatest wizard in wizarding history would like him to believe. 

Kai would get Tom to give him an identity that was stored in the court just for these types of occasions. All that would be required would be a few changes such as names species etc. The main part would be that he was a 10-star member and that he had fought during the two wars the court had faced.

The vampire lord assumed that he knew more about magical creatures than any other wizard in the world due to his vast "experience" with them. 

Although this "experience" was mainly killing them and fighting them, it allowed him to know all of their weaknesses and soft spots. He would also be able to teach them the curriculum that could actually help them instead of the rather unique things that Hagrid taught.

He would use his experience on the battlefield, as well as his new identity to convince the governors to let him into the school as a professor and if that didn't work then he would use some other more interesting means to help convince them. 

This identity would give him the right tools as well as a way for the students to worship or at least admire him. He turned to the pages where the trial of Harry Potter was located and started reading.

At the hour 8:00 AM in the morning young Harry Potter's trial for his underaged magic usage began. However the boy who lived only arrived 5 minutes after its start, according to him minister Fudge sent a letter to his residence a mere few hours before the hearing and therefore didn't reach him on time. The only reason he arrived according to him was because of sheer luck. 

He was bombarded with questions by the senior undersecretary to the minister of magic Mrs Delores Umbridge alongside the minister of magic Cornelius Fudge for the next few minutes, without receiving a chance to defend himself. 

It was only after his defendant Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore who serves as Supreme Mugwump of the International Confederation of Wizards, Chief Warlock of the Wizengamot and the Headmaster of Hogwarts school of witchcraft of wizardry, arrived did the Minister and his undersecretary stop questioning Mr Potter. 

The headmaster of Hogwarts was fuming at the fact that the trial had started without Harry's defendant who incidentally was the headmaster himself. After he arrived, he managed to defend the claims and serious accusations that were thrown at the boy who lived. 

The main claim that the minister used against the defendant was the use of magic in front of a muggle, the other major accusation was the use of underage magic. Minister Fudge pushed for Mr. Potter's wand to be snapped, along with Undersecretary Umbridge. 

The defendant stated that young Harry was merely defending himself against a Lethifold, which had attacked both him and his cousin when they were returning from London. The minister denied these claims but after the headmaster of Hogwarts brought in a witness in the form of a squib named Arabella Figg. She had by coincidence come to London to visit her granddaughter and when she was returning home she saw the two boys.

The witness described that while couldn't exactly see what was going on, she did see I quote "a big, smoky, black cloth that was releasing a terrible and terrifying feeling." Then the defendant said that Mr Potter released a Patronus, (for our readers that are unaware of what the spell is, the Patronus is a conjured spirit animal created from positive memories that stop Dementors and Leitholds) in the form of a stag that caused the Lethifold to escape. 

Minister Fudge tried to have young Harry's wand taken on the grounds of exposing magic to a muggle but Headmaster Dumbledore stopped the Minister with Clause Seven of the Decree for the Reasonable Restriction of Underage Sorcery, which was judged by the Wizengamot and was decreed reasonable enough for young Harry to defend himself and his cousin.

Then Undersecretary Umbridge used the accusation of underage magic against the hero of the wizarding world on the basis of the use of the engorgement charm against his muggle aunt Marge 3 years ago. 

But much to her dismay the accusation was stopped once again by headmaster Dumbledore who defended young Harry by saying that the ministry had already proven that the user of said charm was an unrelated house elf. 

Thus, Harry Potter was proven innocent. This reporter believes that the boy who lived deserves respect for all he has done for the wizarding world and not the biased accusations of our minister. Once again this reporter is doing her job to report the truth and only the truth.

Once Kai read Rita's report he was fuming, as he knew that while there were some untruthful parts in it most of it was true. After all, there was more juicy material to write about the ministry as a whole instead of one boy and therefore she should give the truth as that meant that the ministry came out in a bad light.

But a Lethifold, he wondered how the fake managed to control a Lethifold as they were said to be uncontrollable. This was because they were mindless beings that sought to devour humans. There still wasn't a known reason for this occurrence but some theorized that the Lethifolds were once human souls that experienced some dark ritual.

But it would seem that Kai needed to push in a meeting with the vampire that was assuming his identity. He had to get rid of the trash and interrogate him about the ally who is manipulating these events.

Kai is a tourist on holiday when he is killed in a terrorist attack. He wakes up during the year 1981 in a forest and finds out that he is a vampire progenitor in the Harry Potter world. Kai then heads out to the nearest human settlement which happens to be Godric Hollow. 
-This is my first time writing a novel so I will have mistakes, I'd appreciate it if you could point them out.

Sirius Black was bored out of his mind. Since Voldemort's resurrection and turning The Black family home as The base of operations for The Order Of The Phoniex he thought that an all out war was going to break out but for whatever reason old Voldy had decided to hide away from the world, making no moves or power plays leaving The Order practically useless.

"If that is all for today that we are aj.." Ablus began to speak before a book serval inches thick fell on the table causing every wizard and witch to draw out their wands in preparation for an attack of some kind.

After a few seconds that felt more like hours Albus summoned the book towards him. he saw a note attached to the front. waving his wand over it, he fet no dark magic or I'll intention and lightly picked it and began reading.

/Good Morning Order Of The Phoniex, This interruption must have come as a surpise to you all but rest assured I meant you no harm. 

You must be wondering why a book has appeared in front of you all, well in case you have not read the title yet, it is a book about Harry James Potter but this unlike other books you have heard of,this is the genuine article./

some of the order members rose eyebrows at that claim of authenticity.

/It is a Book of his future.../ Albus continued drawing gasps from most of the occupants and a scoffs form others not believing it for a second. / I must tell you that dark times lay ahead...Darker then anyone had anticipated. now usually someone of my statue can not intervene in the natural course of the timeline but because of some loopholes I have found I was able to send you this "book" in order to help you. Please do not take this for granted it may be your only chance of survival.

Your,Kinda sorta friend./ Albus finished looking remarkable pensive. he began looking towards the books as The order members remained silent looking towards him. He waved his wand over the thick book muttering silently. After a minute he put down the book and sat down feeling slightly dizzy "It's real." he whispered and the dining room broke out in load chatter.

"so wait this book is really of the future Albus?" Mirvana questioned her leader who nodded his head. 

"Then what are we waiting for let's read it." Alastor "Mad Eye"Moody said ready to obtain whatever information he could glean from these books to help the war effort.

"wait, wait wait. Should we do this...I mean this is a book about Harry future or no wouldn't this be an invasion of privacy?" Fluer questions The order of the morality of reading the book.

"Harry would understand." Sirus responded gaining surpise and apllead looks from some of the people in the meeting. He rolled his eyes " Harry hates voldermort, hates all that he stands for, if this book can give us information on how to defeat him, how to save everyone and everything that we care about that he would not hesitate to open this book up and read it to the whole wizarding world." 

"Maybe we should contact him, ask for permission or whatever?" Nymphadora (Don't call her That) Tonks asked. Albus shook his head negatively " We can't, as soon as I touched  the book a powerful spell activated; A time dilation and force field, keeping us in and slowing down time to a great extent. It is impossible to contact Mr.Potter or anyone  at the moment." 

"Then their is no other choice but to read." Remus Lupin commented. Albus nodded his head and Read The Tile [Harry Potter:The War Mage] Sirus widen his eyes "War Mage." whispered to his friend and cousin.

[ A raven haired man with a semi decent beard covering the lower half of his face is seen wearing a hip length black trench coat and a black long sleeved shirt tucked into black combat pants and black steel toed combat boots. The man carried a silver sword made of the finest metals on his back ready to be drawn at any moment and In his left hand he held a wand of great and terrible power; known as the Elder Wand.]

Albus widen his eyes in surpise looking down At the wand he has carried since nineteen forty five when he had defeated a man he loved more then life itself.

[ Despite having one of the most powerful wands In all of existence, he does not drop his guard, he does not let the immense power he wields give him a false sense of security. Bright and Hard emerald eyes scan the desolates streets of was once a magic filled wonderland;Diagon Ally. He remembered when he was a boy and found out he wasn't alone in the world, that there were other like him.The joy he remembered feeling,All encompassing and never ending, now looking at this dull, liveless place only brings an indescribable ache in his heart.]

"I can't believe Diagon Ally is gone." Molly whispered in sadness wearing a face of depression mirror by most of the room.

[ As The man continues to walk slowly but purposely ready to deal with any enemy that comes his way, The scar that has haunted him for all his life; once small but has grown much bigger traveling through his eye and ending at his cheeckbone.]

"That's Harry?" Fluer questioned wondering what happened to his scar. 

Tonks felt bad for the guy. She knew how much he hated that scar, for it to cover a even larger portion of his face was a little bit cruel.

[He began to follow the familar pain emitting from his scar like a compass and soon he saw The monster that had ruined his life, ruined the world in front of him, kneeling at a mirror he remembers from so long ago;The Mirror of Erised.]

Albus Narrows his eyes at that, wondering why Tom has The Mirror knowing that at this moment is in secure vault at Gringotts.

[The man can see Voldemort carving runes around the mirror, not liking where this could be leading tries to enter the space but is rebuked by a magical force field. He sees the man look back towards him smirks he then turns back towards his work double his speed. 

The Man reaches for the Silver sword strapped on his back; Holding it in his right hand he begans to channel magic through it. The Sword begans to glow slightly green, Once his magic and will is firmly intertwined into the steel he swings it towards the magical field. He cannot slice completely through it but he manages a large enough cut that he can enter his wand arm and aim it at the ground where the runes lay shutting down the field keeping him at bay from his enemy.]

"I did not not know we could do that." Kingsley Shacklebot says in awe of what he had heard being described. Albus looks slightly shocked as well "it had been done before but the technique takes a superior control of magic and skill to do properly, and is mostly used by warriors that spends more time fighting physically then magically" Albus responded to the man. 

["did you really think that would stop me." The man asks the monster in barley human skin. his voice his gruff from unuse. Voldemort turns to look at his rival chuckling at the idotic question. 

"Of course not Harry." He responds shaking his head. "I just needed a minute." He smiles viciously like a beast ready to eat it's prey.

Harry not wanting to drag this out swings his sword and a burst of deadly magical energy busts from the blade aiming to take off Voldemort's head.]

"Shit that's possible?!" Tonks asks the Headmaster who for the first time in a long time is visibly shaken.

"I...um, yes yes. It's possible." Albus responds to the young women. "But it's almost ten times more difficult then the pervious technique shown and it takes an extremely powerful wizard to even attempt what Harry has done." Albus says gravely.

Sirus looks at the Headmaster In apprehension "Why?" He questions. Albus takes a moment to organize his thoughts " Because if done improbably then the magic user runs the risk of damaging their magical core and could render them a squib." This revelation causing every person in the dining hall eyes to widen.

[Voldemort in preparation whips out his wand redirecting the magical energy away from him and his little project. " tsk, tsk Mr. Potter didn't mommy ever teach you...oh wait I killed her." he laughs like a mad man.

For several minutes Harry and Voldemort dulled throwing spells at each other like mad men and turning the surrounding area into dust after serval minutes Voldemort unleashed Fiendfyre causing harry to enact a shield of tranfigued steel around his person to protect himself. After that Voldemort turned away from the man and walked towards the mirror he then began to speak.

"People think I feared Dumbledore." Voldemort  said. "I didn't. I was weary of his power of course, I would be an idiot if I wasn't but I did not fear the man. He was soft, Full of too much mercy and Compassion, whenever we dueled he never aim to kill, Why would i fear a man that I knew would never kill me, would never kill any of my subordinates. But you dear Harry are a diffrent beast all together." he says.]

The Hall was silent for a moment "did... did he just admit to being afraid of Harry" asked Fleur in awe.

["I have feared you since I had heard the first part of The Prophecy all those years ago and ever since then you have proven time and time again that I was right to fear you. you have thwarted me at ever single turn since you were eleven. No matter The challenges throw at you, you've overcome them at ever single turn. While Dumbledore refused to kill even my most disgusting of Deatheaters you slew them without mercy and without regret. when I summoned demons from depths of Hell  and conquered the world it was you that united what was left of humanity and brought me to my knees, if only for a short time and here you are again despite everything, despite being the only one fighting anymore, trying to stop me." He sighed in exhaustion " I'm done. you win. I give up. you can have this ash filled world. I'm going try again." he turned away from spectucal of his Fiendfyre burning his nemesis alive in that steel cage.]

"Wha..what does him mean try again."Charlie Weasley asked In fear. No one had any awnsers to tell him.

"Do..you think Harry will be alright?" Molly whispered to her husband tears rolling down her face.

"I like this boy." Alastor said causing everyone to look at him. "What he sounds like someone I can really get along with, he apparently fights Demons for gods sake and puts the fear in Voldemort I think I'm going to take him under my wing." that caused Tonks to widen her eyes in shock wondering if surpises would ever Cease.

[Harry has been gathering his magical energy focusing at the center of his being. He knew he only had one chance to dismiss the hell fire and if he didn't do it perfectly then he would be burned alive. he dismiss the shield protecting him and as the fire began rushing towards him he released the Pent up magical energy that became magical wind as it left his body in what amounted as a small hurricane.]

"What.The.Fuck." Bill uttered in shock and awe. which was reflected by everyone in the room. Alastor laughed in delight causing eyes to widen even futher " I don't think even you could do that Albus." who nodded in agreement.

[Harry turned towards the darklord commanding his magic to strengthen his muscle and bones making them creak in protest.]

Fluer couldn't believe what she was hearing. How did Harry learn to do this. She had heard of this technique from her grandmother but was never taught it in fear of crippling her.

[ "Goodbye Harry Potter, May you rot In the fiery deeps of Hell" Voldemort told the man and as he jumped through The Mirror of Erised began running at incredible speed. As Voldemort fully passed through The mirror  Harry was only a second behind falling through as well.]

As Albus finished reading the chapter, A bright light encompassed the room blinding The Order. Once the light died down Fred,George, Ron,Ginny, Hermione,Luna and Neville were on the seen on the ground, Dazed and Confused. As the stood up another letter appeared slowly falling into Dumbledore's hand.

"I have a trust vault?" Say, Harry, surprised that they still made one for him. Master Fingercutter was also surprised but due to the fact that Harry didn't know of it.
"Indeed heir Potter you do, hearing you it as if you didn't know that you have funds here in our bank, I was also starting to be quite distressed when Lord Potter made your brother Heir while you were still alive but never respond to our summon ."

While he was reading the result of the inheritance test, a second goblin made is way in the office. Hearing him only now, harry was started and rapidly about-face, facing another goblin sharing quite a few similitudes to master Fingercutter. He could help by double-take before his gaze made a few runs between the two.
"Excuse me if I'm but, are the two of you related?"

Perhaps for the first time, a wizard was able to see two gobsmacked goblins before they retake control of themselves.
"Why would you say this Heir Potter?"
Immediately after uttering his trough, Harry claps his mouth shut, fearing to have insulted the goblins but strangely, the two of them seem quite eager to hear his answer. Hesitantly, he takes a few seconds to form his response.

"Heu, I'm not sure, but you do share quite a few facial similitudes that were completely different from the goblins I see in the hall, the teller or Longfeet that had to bring me there?"
The resulting silence was deafening for a few seconds before the two of them show a toothy bloodcurdling grin.

"It must be the first time that a wizard was able to so clearly differentiate goblins, I must say. While the subject is fascinating, I'm here because I have been informed that one of me client have undergone a blood test without my supervision."
"Heu sorry?"
"Quite, Heir potter but the fault his nether your nor our, it falls upon house Potter to have delayed this much before you came to me." 
When the goblin sees the grimace on the face of Harry he knows that something was wrong and will not like it.
"Heir Potter were are your Lord and Lady?" The harsh voice made him wince and only made the frown of the goblin deepen, hearing it.

"I have not seen my genitor since I was left in the 'care' of one Dursley Vernon and his wife Petunia." Had he finish, a loud snarl was heard before what he thinks must be quite the colorful language seeing Master Fingercutter look.
"Are you telling me that House Potter has failed to raise his Heir in the traditional way before illegally forcing a change of Heir! This is an outrage, Gringott will not bear this slight to the law of old!" His bellow barely finishes that a group of five security goblins smash the door open, arm in hand ready to protect their kins again any attack, but had the barely made a step in the room that Headcrusher vent his rage on them.
"Out! this a private audit to an important client, the first that disrupt this meeting will have his head smashed in the walls!"
Harry could only look helplessly at the five nearly falling on each other to see the way out of the room. While his account manager takes a deep breath he idly notes that Fingercutter has also exited the room to let them conduct their business.

Once calm enough, he takes place behind the desk, put his files on it while gazing directly in harry eyes.
"Let's start by the beginning, I am Headscrusher, accountant manager of House Potter and someone that you should have an encounter in your seven years."
"Hello accountant manager Headcrusher, I'm Harry Potter, you could call me Harry."
"I could say it a pleasure to meet you, but I will keep with Heir Potter for now on if you don't mind, this is still an official encounter under House Potter and Gringott after all."
"Sure, if it easier for you, please do so."
"Will do, thank you, Heir Potter. Now that done, let go to the heart of the matter." Taking is files and rising his head to harry for time to time, he sighs before massaging the bridge of his nose.
"For the last nine-year and four-months, a hundred galleon has been taken from your trust vault each month, and deposit to a bank account under the name of Dursley Vernon for a total of eleven thousand two hundred galleons. This sum was for your care. Seeing your actual state, I'm in obligation to enquire about your past life under the care of your caretaker." Seeing again the wince in his young charge, he retrieves a cubic dark-blue crystal littered in runes easily feating in one hand.

Passing the crystal to Harry, the runes light up before he could even utter a word and see with morbid attention as the pas life of young harry defile once again in front of him in chronological order from the day he was actually born in the doorstep of the house until he left this morning, with the sound to boot!

For the first time what really happens this fated night in 1981was seen. The confrontation of the self-styled Lord and the death of the kneazle of the family that has to give it life to save Harry, deflecting the curse that had ripped the lightning bolt-shaped scar that he has before a wave of pure magic causing a backlash in the magic of Tommy boy due to the nature ritual, the intended target, and sacrifice of the noble beast, leading to the destruction of his corporeal shell. The instant he blows up, a shard of dark mass could be see latching on the open wound while a part of the roof, as well as the body of the kneazle, were torn up.

He couldn't help but actually shed tears of grief upon the dead animal that been the most faithful companion of his young day while finally knowing what happens to her.

On the other side, Headcrusher pales at the sight of the leech, before it was substituted to pure anger at the sight of Dumbledore scan, his realization at the nature of the result before the smirk that mare his face before he faces the Potter. What followed next was a mouthful of pure drivel has to the fact that some spirit of Voldemort has now replaced and inhabited the body of harry, he surely lost of memories due to a damaged soul and the importance that he was placed in a magic-less environment to restrict his exposition to the magic that would heal it soul and leaving him with an able body and his full memories before he even made his way to Hogwarts where he would be monitored.

While subjugated by the amount of hippogriff bullshit that he spews, it was the unconditional support for the two Potter and their willing abandonment of their child that completely flabbergasted him. Not a single of the two could utter a word still under the shock of the revelation that had just been made. What followed was the nightmarish existence that he was condemned by his relative.

It was the loud cracking of the wooden desk succumbing to the grip of Headcrusher that draw him back., shortly followed by the loud barking in his native language. Outside the room, the five security goblins and Fingercutter were actually quaking in their boots hearing the profanities that were so loudly enumerated that the surrounding goblins open their door due the noise before hastily closing them white as a sheet.

When power far above you decide that they want to wrench the canon, by bringing you in the game, sometimes the wisest thing to do it just to tag along and just try to make this encounter end the most rapidly possible.

who knows, maybe something great will come out of it? After all, what could be worst than being taken out without your consent out of your world, only to be thrown in the darkness?

"The boy is a genius. And absolute genius." Flitwick complained as he chugged another glass of Firewhiskey from Minerva collection. One of the good things about coming here and talking with Minerva. She always had good Firewhiskey hidden somewhere in her office.

"Then why do you look so glum Filius? Are you not happy with his progress?" Minerva asked curiously and Flitwick sighed.

"I'm indeed happy with his progress. Immensely so in fact and I'm proud of the things he had achieved and will achieve in the future. But… I fell so old and useless every after every session that I spend teaching him."

"Why is that Filius?" Minerva asked so concern and he knew why that was. It was not often that his colleagues saw his down like this.

Years of torment that he suffered as a child had made him thick skinned and nowadays he was hardly phased by small things like envy.

But he was envious of his student.

It took his a lot of time to come to terms with his feelings but he now realized that he was indeed envious of Harry Potter.

And why shouldn't he be.

"The boy learns at a speed far faster than any other person I've ever seen." He said slowly "In fact, the boy has become so good nowadays that he is able to match me spell for spell."

"Do you know how long it took me to reach the level where I could throw spells as fast as I could?"

Minerva didn't ask but he knew she wanted to know so he answered anyway.

"Decades." He replied bitterly "Decades of hard work and perseverance. And the boy was able to do it within a few months."

"When I was a child, I knew that the world was an unfair place. That not all of us are born equal. But I learned to endure. I learned to look past such feelings in order to look at the brighter side of things."

"But every time I go to teach young Harry. Every time I see the ease at which he learns things. Every time he achieves a feat that took me years of hard work to do, I am reminded of how unfair this world is and such thoughts make me feel so… hollow."

"I know should not feel like this Minerva. Believe me, I do. And I try my best to smile and encourage Mr Potter instead of letting him show how much his growth affects me. But it is what it is."

"What makes me feel worse is that I know that as a teacher I should not feel envious of my own student. And that makes me think that I'm not suitable for this task of teaching young Harry."

Minerva quietly filled his glass and he emptied it without another word.

Despite the fact that he never showed it, he was immensely grateful to Minerva for holding these talking sessions with him even if this was just a way for Dumbledore to keep an eye on his Claw.

He felt a hand on his shoulder and looked up to see Minerva looking sympathetically at him.

"It's alright Filius. We're humans. And it's in our nature to be imperfect."

"Thanks Minerva" he said and gave a nod to his older colleague.

In moments like this, he could see why the Headmaster trusted her so much and felt so free to leave the school in her capable hands whenever he had to go and attend a meeting somewhere else.

"Would it be possible to ask Headmaster to take some time out of his schedule to teach Mr Potter?" he asked with some hope because at this moment, he felt like he did not deserve the privilege to teach someone as talented as young Harry.

"You know he can't do that Filius." Minerva replied "He is already too busy with his three jobs as it is. Some times he's not even able to perform all of his duties as a Headmaster, leaving me to fill in for him. Him teaching Mr Potter is… unfeasible."

"But that's where I think you're wrong Minerva. You must understand that Harry is unlike any other student I've ever seen in Hogwarts. I can already tell that he'll be a very important part of our community in the future. And I think that you can you."

"We do not discriminate between our students Filius." Minerva said calmly but he could see how she didn't instantly reject his proposal.

"I know. But you must understand that not all students are equal either Minerva. And treating Harry as a normal student will only hamper his growth."

"Filius I…"

"Minvera." He interrupted "Albus is an old man. I know we all wish that he wasn't but he is. And no one stays forever in this mortal world."

"One day he'll leave this world, just like we all will. Wouldn't it be better for him and for all of us to have a successor that would carry on his will and his ideals in the future when he does."

"I know that his job as a Supreme Mugwump and the Chief Warlock are important and so is his duty as the Headmaster but having a successor that'll carry on his will in the future is just as important."

"Think about it Minerva." He pleaded. He knew that this was a ploy to get Harry a more capable teacher than him but he also believed that nurturing Harry would be very important for their future.

For all of their futures.

Minerva took a sip of the firewhiskey and let out a sigh "You make a good point Filius. Perhaps I'll talk with Albus see what he thinks about this."

"You do that Minerva." He said with a smile "And if nothing else, we could always call them the Dark Slayer duo."

They both chuckled at the weak joke before he raised the cup in the air.

"For the future." He said with a smile.

"For the future." Minerva said with a rare indulgent smile of her own before they finished their glasses.

* Daphne came to learn from Harry.

"Whatever you've learned about magic throughout your life. Forget about all of it as it is unlikely that such knowledge would only hamper you with what I'm about to teach you."

Daphne frowned at those words, not understanding what he really meant by that but nodded anyway.

He smiled at her nod and shook his head "You'll understand the reason behind my words soon enough."

With those words, her tuition classes with Harry Potter started.

And by the end of the class, she had probably learned more about magic from him than she had from anyone else in her entire life.

And she could tell that his words were not meaningless because he showed her live examples after every explanation, using magic in a way that others would consider impossible.

After all, wasn't she taught as a child that Wizards and witches couldn't perform magic without a proper wand.

She now understood why he would tell her to forget all that she had learned.

Because whatever she had learned, whatever she had been taught by her father and by the magical society was wrong.

Well, not really wrong but not totally right either.

She could now see why he was so better at magic than others.

She also realized that it would take her a lot of time to get as good at controlling her magic as him so she promised to start the exercises as soon as possible.

Because if Hermione could do it, then she could do it as well.

"So all I have to do is try to push and pull this paper with my magic. Even if it doesn't work." She asked incredulously.

"Yes. You have to do it until it work. I know this is boring work but that how you start." He said with a shrug, not giving her any encouragement at all.

He really was a shit of a teacher, wasn't he.

"Abusing me in your mind won't help you, you know." His words gave her a shock and she quickly averted her gaze, not trying to remember how he slipped inside her mind last time without he even knowing.

He chucked at her actions, as if there was anything funny about reading someone's mind without their permission.

"I know what you're thinking and no, I did not read your mind to know that you were insulting me in your mind. It was clearly written in your face so I had no need for it in the first place."

She frowned at her words. Telling her, the ice queen of Slytherin, that her face was readable was one of the worst insult anyone could give her.

"And I don't make a habit of reading someone's mind either. That time when I did was a one time event though I think you can understand the necessity behind my action. You're a smart girl after all."

She gave a nod at that, not wanting to say anything to him at this moment.

"I know that the exercise sound boring as hell and trust me, it is. But that's how we all started and I don't know any other exercise to start with. Although you could always try to come up with something yourself. Still, once you complete the minimum requirement, you'll be ready to learn the more advanced stuff."

She gave another nod at that and stood up in order to leave.

"You know. You can stay if you want. I don't think either Hermione or Penelope would mind your presence."

"They may not but the students in my house will. And I may have joined your group but I don't want to be estranged by the rest of my house just yet." She said and left the room before remembering that she was still under the influence of the time turner and that there should be another Daphne of the past walking around in the halls with her friends.

With a sigh she went back to the room and sat down with Harry.

It seemed like she would have to tolerate his smug face for the next three hours.

Until then, she would work on the new exercises she had been given.

1: When Things Go Wrong (May 24, 2003 to May 27, 2003)


Fudge was a complete moron, a raving mad lunatic. It was utterly insane of him to bring the magical mirror to Hogwarts before getting the obviously enchanted mirror passed for inspection against dangerous curses by the Aurors. In one of his idiotic ideas, he had brought the mirror to Hogwarts to find out the secret of its purpose. He was sure Dumbledore could help divulge the knowledge, and the other professors certainly could help.


The real reason was that the only known person that had the ability to speak parseltongue was Harry. It only made logical sense to Fudge's miniscule intelligence that Harry would help to translate the words of the hissing guardian that was entwined with powerful charms around the frame of the mirror. To Fudge, this was a suitable excuse to reveal the mirror's existence to the rest of the world.


Which was a foolish intention if Fudge's suspicions of what the mirror was turned out to be true, that it was an avenue into the future. It was possibly an invaluable tool against Voldemort, and to bring this to the awareness of the Dark Lord was foolhardy. What in the world was Fudge thinking? Yet, he had somehow managed to convince Dumbledore to let Harry examine it and discover the secrets of the mirror. However, he had allowed Dumbledore to believe that the mirror was safe since the Aurors had checked it, just that they hadn't done it thoroughly. Fudge hadn't given them the chance to before taking the mirror away.


Besides, Fudge could be a convincing bastard at times. His arguments were solid. If the mirror could be made to see the future with Voldemort instead of utterly random possibilities, then they'd have the upper hand. Taking in the consideration that the Aurors had checked the mirror, Dumbledore had consented to allow Harry to check the mirror and interpret whatever the hissing snake guardian was saying.


That had been the big mistake. A terrible mistake because as soon as Harry stood in front of the mirror, the mirror had begun to glow with an unmistakable aura that spoke of immense power. The guardian snake had then begun to hiss and those in the room found themselves blocked off when they tried to approach Harry. When the hissing was over, the snake leapt out of the mirror's frame and pulled Harry in.


It was only when Harry had completely disappeared that whatever had been blocking them the potential rescuers was removed, causing them to stumble to the mirror with absolute shock written all over their features. For Dumbledore to be gobsmacked was terrible as it had caused the usual twinkle in his merry blue eyes to dull with the realization that his golden Gryffindor boy was gone.


It was no surprise to anyone there when Dumbledore turned to Fudge and declared in a voice that rang with power, "FUDGE! You did not tell me everything." There was a heavy pause in the air as he continued, "I knew that there was something that you were keeping from me, but I thought that it was not a matter of security as much as I thought it was some secret of the mirror that you knew that only Harry could decipher. Never would I think that the Minister of Magic would not make sure the mirror was safe before asking a student to examine it!"


Dumbledore was furious; he was so angry in fact that he was making perfect sense. It took all the pomp and dignity of his position to keep Fudge rooted where he was and not running for his life. It wasn't that he feared that the Headmaster would end his existence, but the Weasley boy and the Granger girl were looking murderously at him. After all these years of struggling to keep their best friend safe, the Ministry of Magic got rid of the Boy Who Lived with more ease than Voldemort could breathe!


"I think it would be wise for you to leave," McGonagall stated with a calm that relaxed Fudge slightly until he saw the blazing anger in her eyes. The Gryffindor Head of House might be one of the fairest and strictest professors at Hogwarts but she did have a soft spot where Harry Potter was concerned. "There is nothing you can do to help us here anymore and your presence will only remind us of what disaster you have caused."

There is a reason behind every action.


That was what the snake had hissed out in parseltongue before it had leapt from the frame of the mirror and wrapped itself around Harry's waist and dragged him into the mirror. The fall into the mirror seemed to take forever until he slammed into the ground painfully. It took him a while to get his bearings, but when he did he found he was in the same room that he'd been in previously, Dumbledore's private study.


For a moment, the blind panic he felt slowly ebbed away when he saw a familiar figure cloaked in purple with a long white beard that gave him a grandfatherly look. Oh good, Dumbledore was here. Before he could even ask what was going on, the Headmaster caused his terror to rise up again to the heights it'd been previously, "Who in the world are you and where did you come from?"


There was no twinkling glint in his mentor's eyes and what was even worse, a wand was being pointed at him menacingly and a very annoyed phoenix that had just awoken form a nap was staring down at him. It was then that Harry frantically went back to the words that the serpent had hissed at him before he'd been sucked into the mirror. Several keywords stood out to him: folly, fallen, nightmares, ominous, dreadful, and most of all, alternate dimensions. What the fuck had he gotten into?


"Answer me!" Dumbledore exclaimed, his voice not harsh but demanding.


Harry decided that it'd be best to be truthful. "I am Harry Potter," he answered gently and carefully. "The son of James Potter and Lily Evans," he added as an afterthought since there didn't seem to be an response from Dumbledore. "I attend school..."


"You are not Harry Potter," Dumbledore responded sharply, shaking his head vehemently. "You cannot be Harry Potter because Harry Potter died fourteen years ago at the hands of Lord Voldemort with his parents."


"I am!" Harry cried out desperately, moving closer to the older man while trying to convince him of what he was saying was the truth. What seemed odd to him was that Fawkes had stopped staring hard at him, instead the phoenix closed his eyes and went back to the nap that Harry had interrupted. "Look at me! I am the image of my father, James Potter. Everyone says that I look exactly like my father and that I have my mother's eyes!"


"But you died fourteen years ago," the Headmaster replied but there was a thread of uncertainty in his voice. As he took a closer look at the young boy that had appeared to have fallen into his private study out of nowhere, it was uncanny the resemblance he bore to the deceased James Potter. The blazing emerald of his eyes clearly came from his beautiful mother, Lily Evans. Indeed if Harry Potter had survived, this was exactly how he pictured their son to be.


"I did die in this place," Harry murmured in a softly awed voice, "but I didn't die in my world." It made sense now. Everything clicked together. Alternate dimension was an alternate reality, what happened in a different universe coexisting next to his own. Nightmare, nightmare because he'd died here and if he had died... that meant Lord Voldemort had lived. Nightmare indeed! "I don't know what Voldemort did, but he removed me from my universe and placed me here."


From the puzzled expression on Dumbledore's face, Harry quickly explained his theory on what he thought happened. Then he repeated what the snake had hissed at him and as he did, he knew that Voldemort was behind the entire thing because Dumbledore had keenly pointed out the first letter of every word spelled out V-O-L-D-E-M-O-R-T. With a heavy sigh Harry remarked, "I never thought alternative dimensions existed."


"Neither did I," Dumbledore chirped in unnecessarily, doing nothing to cheer up the poor boy displaced from his true home. "So in one dimension, you survived Voldemort's killing curse?" Harry nodded. "Interesting," he remarked, "but how?"


It took a while, but Harry finally was able to explain the shortened version of his life story. How he'd somehow managed to survive the Avada Kedavra Curse, how it'd somehow rebounded off of himself- leaving him a distinctive lightning scar and how it all but killed Voldemort. Then he discussed how he grew up with his only remaining relatives, his mother's muggle sister.


Eventually, he got to how he came to Hogwarts and how the Dark Lord was resurrected in his fourth year... and sometime near the end of his fifth year after numerous Death Eater random attacks, he'd been sent here by Voldemort. It was clear that the random attacks weren't going to kill the Boy Who Lived so it was obvious that the next best option was to send Harry away to another dimension.


"My goodness," Dumbledore remarked when Harry had finished his tale, "that is quite a story. Sadly, the case in this world is not the same as it is in your world. There you were the Boy Who Lived that managed to disable Voldemort when he was at his strongest, but here you were just another one of the long list of casualties."


"What happened then?" asked Harry with solemnity.


Dumbledore sighed and Harry noticed that this Dumbledore had wrinkles not of mirth and jollity but of weariness and toil. This Dumbledore didn't look like he had the positive outlook that was sure that the side of light would be victor in this war of good and evil not like his Dumbledore. "Lord Voldemort was not stopped and the Ministry of Magic crumbled under the well planned onslaught of Death Eaters. There is no public form of resistance, he controls the government."


"But what of the Order?" Harry inquired, knowing that there were many parallels in this world and betting that the Order of the Phoenix was one of them. "What of that?"


"You know of it?" Dumbledore queried in response, a hint of surprise showing. When Harry nodded with serious affirmation, the Headmaster managed to smile vaguely. "It exists," he murmured softly. "It is the only resistance that is left here. France also has a taskforce similar to ours, an underground resistance. The only true power that stands against Voldemort is the Americas. They do what they can to aid us, but even they are more on the defensive. Here, Voldemort has won."


This was his worst nightmare. It was far worse than he'd even imagined. But then if Voldemort had overtaken all of Europe, then why was Albus Dumbledore still residing here as Headmaster of Hogwarts when he was the only wizard that the Dark Lord feared? "If it is that bad, then why are you still here? Why does Voldemort allow you to stay?"


Dumbledore sighed tiredly, the lines that aged his face only becoming more prominent. "He allows me to stay because he does not think I am a threat to him anymore. What resistance I can mount is nearly like a fly buzzing around him, almost nothing. What it is, is merely a mild irritation. And somehow, he has yet to learn of the Order. What little we do keeps some hope left, as little as it is. But it is small enough that Voldemort doesn't pay more than a modicum of attention, focusing instead on taking over the Americas."


A moment of silence passed through the room when Harry raised his head up and glanced at the Headmaster with very concerned eyes. "What am I going to do about returning to my home? What am I going to do until I can go back? What if I can't..." His voice trailed off, the words becoming too painful to say... that he'd never get home again.


"We will try to find a way," Dumbledore said in a steady and sure voice. "Until then, you are a Hogwarts student there and you will be one here. It is good to have a student that I know I can trust." Harry was about to ask how Dumbledore knew that he could be trusted, but the Headmaster answered him before he could inquire, "Fawkes would never resumed sleeping if he did not feel I was in a safe presence, which is why I allowed you to tell me your story."


"I cannot use my name," he remarked.


"Of course not," Dumbledore agreed. "You bear an uncanny resemblance to James Potter, anything similar will arise suspicion. Hmm... a new name is needed. No Evans, no James, and definitely no Harry or Potter. Any similarities will arouse attention. Is there any name that you ever wanted when you were a child? A favorite name that you wished you'd been named?" Harry shrugged, he'd never thought about ever being called anything besides Harry.


"I suppose then I will have to name you then," Dumbledore reflected thoughtfully. "I suppose for a surname we could use Biggerstaff. It sort of alludes to your great presence, then again we don't exactly want that." Again, the Headmaster seemed to lose himself to his thoughts on renaming Harry Potter. "Sebastian Ethan Biggerstaff." The grin that spread over Dumbledore's lips was infectious. "Your initials are S.E.B. Aren't I clever? Seb is S.E.B.!"


Merlin, Harry thought with no more alarm then normal for him concerning Dumbledore's astonishing ability to amuse himself with the oddest of oddities, no matter what he always finds a way to entertain himself. Even in this world, in some of the grimmest of circumstances he was still glad that Dumbledore still had his sense of humor. If he didn't have a reason to smile, then all hope would be erased. After all despite all the wackiness that was Dumbledore, he was still the only wizard that Lord Voldemort had ever feared. And even though the Dark Lord had conquered Europe, Dumbledore still led a resistance against him- no things weren't hopeless yet.

Hours had passed and the only clue they had about Harry Potter's whereabouts were the ancient runes that covered the mirror after whatever spell on the mirror had done its purpose and dissipated. All the professors in the school had examined the mirror for half an hour each and they had no better advice to offer than Dumbledore's initial suggestion that they find the key to the runes that appeared on the mirror.


It was a stroke of brilliant luck that Hermione Granger remembered reading up on something similar to those ancient runes only a fortnight ago, though it was a step in the right direction they still had more steps to take to discover where the mirror had taken the Boy Who Lived. It took days of searching in the Restricted Section of the Library to hunt down the book that coded for the ancient runes. It was with tedious work that both Minerva McGonagall and Severus Snape worked in tandem to translate the message with tedious care along with the assistance of Hermione and Ron.


Meanwhile, the Headmaster was kept busy with hundreds of owls that were sent with inquiries on where Harry Potter had disappeared to. With this he agreed with Cornelius Fudge, that it would not be a good idea to cause the Wizarding World to go into a panic now that their Boy Who Lived had disappeared. It was with great reluctance that Dumbledore granted the Daily Prophet an interview where he stated vaguely that Harry Potter had been taken abroad somewhere to study with colleagues of his.


That didn't stop the rumors that said Harry Potter might be dead, but it did decreased some of the public anxiety. It did nothing to stop their fervent worrying. While it had taken them a long time to translate out the runes, it hadn't taken the professors at Hogwarts long to figure out that whatever spell that had been used to trigger the properties of the mirror had had a dark magic signature that had been keyed to Harry Potter's magical signature.


Once the message on the mirror was finally translated out enough to make sense, everything became much more clearer. There was no doubt that the person behind the dark magic that had pulled Harry Potter into the mirror had to be Lord Voldemort. There was no one else that was strong enough to pull the spell off to target one particular person nor was there anyone that had enough power to activate a mirror that had not been used in over a thousand years.

Working day and night, it had taken them two months to make the runes comprehensible. Now that they'd figured it out, they now knew that they were the ones that had to open the mirror that was locked. And they had found out that wherever Harry had gone, he had to be searching for a way back too or else their efforts were in vain. It didn't help that once they'd had the epiphany that alternate truth was alternate reality, they'd discover that there were thousands of alternate dimensions that were coexisting together at the same time.


However were they suppose to open the mirror to the right reality for Harry?

Harry looked at their schedule for the day and noticed it the double Potions and double Defence Against the Dark Arts, along with Divination.

'Urgh, I forgot I'll have to sit through double Snape today' thought Harry with a grimace. 'I'm not sure what to do with that guy yet, he's much more dangerous than Umbridge and he has Dumbledore's support. Though everything he has done till now isn't something I can even begin to forgive'

Hermione called out to him as they were walking towards the dungeons, "What's up Harry? You've become awfully quiet"

Harry snapped out of his reverie at her question and turned towards her, "Just thinking about how annoying it will be seeing Snape again"

"Don't say that, he's part of the Order now" said Hermione, a concerned look on her face, "No matter how much we hate him" she added in an low but perfectly audible voice.

"Well, his being part of the order doesn't excuse everything he has done till now" said Harry with a frown.

"What has he done?" asked a curious Hermione.

"I'll tell you about all of that later I suppose, it's much too much to digest" replied Harry.

Hermione immediately frowned, "What did we just talk about Harry? No. More. Secrets"

"I'll tell you, I promise" replied Harry a small smile playing on his lips, "Just let me get my thoughts straight on the matter, you're one of the few people I can rely on after all"

"Fine, I'll wait then" pouted Hermione.

As they chatted, they eventually reached the Potions class. The main difference this time around was that Ron no longer sat with them. Instead, he sat with Dean and Seamus. Hermione looked at him sadly for a minute before turning her attention back to Harry.

"You know, there's no reason for you to not be friends with him anymore" said Harry, a note of concern in his voice.

Hermione looked surprised for a moment before turning to Harry, a fierce glint in her eyes, "He's the one who decided to abandon us after one spat" she said, anger dripping from her words. "Though it is sad to lose a friend but I don't think he deserves to be forgiven anymore"

Harry shook his head and turned his attention to Snape, who had just walked in.

The class then proceeded much like how Harry remembered it. Snape tried to pick on Harry a little but ended up unsuccessful and Harry found it incredibly easy to brew the Draught of Peace.

'Was it this easy for me to do potions last time?' thought Harry with a frown. 'It feels like I was struggling for no reason until a little while ago'

"Wow Harry, no offence but I thought you would definitely fail brewing it" said Hermione from the side, with a cheeky grin.

"You know what?" said Harry, returning her smile, "I thought I'd fail too"

The two quietly laughed and double Potions flew by with an unexpectedly light atmosphere around them. Snape, try as he might, could not find fault with Harry or Hermione so he chose to ignore them instead.

Finishing up with Potions, the two quickly stuffed their things into their bags.

"I'll have to go to Divination alone then" said Harry with a grimace.

"Oh you'll be fine. Though I did tell you to drop that class as well, you could have taken Arithmancy with me" said Hermione.

"Oh please, that sounds even more dull" replied Harry. "So I'll see you during Defence Against the Dark Arts then?"

"Yeah, see you Harry" she called as she rushed off to her next class.

Harry made his way to the tower where Trelawney taught her class and sat through the usual, boring, grueling class. Though the class seemed all the more boring now that he was sitting alone.

Finally having had enough of Trelawney's predictions of misfortune, Harry drifted off to sleep.

Eventually, he woke up to a tap to his shoulder. Harry woke with a start and looked around, noticing a girl standing next to him, trying to wake him up.

"Wake up or you'll be late for Defence Against the Dark Arts" she said, her voice sounding urgent.

Harry stood up and stretched, looking around he noticed the class was empty and Trelawney seemed to have left as well.

"Urgh, that woman is way too good at putting me to sleep" said Harry with a grimace.

The girl next to him giggled. Harry had seen her around the class several times over the years but never really talked to her. For that matter, he didn't even know her name.

"I'm Harry by the way" he said with a smile.

"Who doesn't know the famous Harry Potter" she replied with another giggle causing Harry to grimace.

"I'd rather not be famous you know?" he replied testily.

"I was just kidding" she smiled, "I'm Lily Moon, it's nice to finally talk to you"

Harry paused for a moment at the name, 'Just like my mom's' he thought but quickly shook the thought out of his head.

"Likewise" replied Harry, his expression finally softening. "Come on, we'll be late for Defence if we stay here any longer, I'd rather not have to be berated by that annoying voice"

Harry started walking towards the trapdoor with Lily in tow.

"Oh good" she said, "I'm not the only one who hated her"

"I've met her before" said Harry, "Try not to offend her, she's a nasty piece of work"

"I'll keep that in mind" replied Lily as they quickly made their way to the Defence classroom.

"It's odd that we never really talked in so many years" said Harry.

"Well you had your own group, where would the famous Harry Potter have time for this lowly peasant" replied Lily with a dramatic flair, wiping a fake tear away.

"Quit it" said Harry knocking her on the head, though a small smile crept onto his face.

"Hehe" she giggled just as they made it to the Defence classroom. Luckily the class had yet to begin.

Harry walked in and found Hermione sitting at a table towards the back. When he reached the table, he noticed Lily walking away so Harry called out to her, "Want to sit with us?"

"Is that fine?" she asked, glancing between Harry and Hermione.

"I don't have a problem with it" replied Hermione with a smile.

Lily took a seat next to Hermione while Harry sat on her other side.

"Hi, I'm Hermione. It's nice to meet you" said Hermione with a smile.

"I'm Lily, it really is nice to meet you" Lily smiled back.

The two fell into a conversation that Harry found hard to butt into so he quietly sat to the side, thinking about how to deal with Umbridge.

'Now that Fudge is no longer Minister, Umbridge would never amount to anything more than a teacher. Unlike my last life, she would never be able to become the High-Inquisitor since Amelia Bones doesn't seem stupid enough to do that'

Harry nodded at his own conclusion, 'Even if she is only a teacher, she'd still be quite annoying to deal with. A teacher does have some authority' thought Harry but soon an evil grin almost surfaced on his face, 'There are plenty of ways to handle her even with that authority'

As Harry was thinking about all the ways he could mess with Umbridge, she walked into the class. She was much lower key than Harry's past life, in fact, unlike last time, she hadn't even given a speech during the start-of-year feast.

"Put away your wands, you will not be needing them in my class" said Umbridge in her usual shrill, annoying voice.

Umbridge surveyed the classroom, her eyes lingering on Harry for a moment before she quickly averted her eyes, a look of fear crossing her eyes.

"The Ministry of Magic has always considered the education of young witches and wizards to be of vital importance. There again, progress for progress's sake must be discouraged, for our tried and tested traditions often require no tinkering. Let us move forward, then, into a new era of openness, effectiveness, and accountability, intent on preserving what ought to be preserved, perfecting what needs to be perfected, and pruning wherever we find practices that ought to be prohibited" she said, her speech near identical to what Harry remembered.

'Did she stay up late practicing this speech?' thought Harry, trying to stifle a snicker.

"Take out your books, you shall be reading from chapter one" said Umbridge, "There will be regular tests on the theory of Defence but there will be no useless wand waving in this class. There is no need for children to learn such matters"

"How are we supposed to give our practical O.W.Ls if we don't learn? How are we supposed to protect ourselves if we don't even know the basics of protection?" asked Hermione eliciting nods from many other students.

"The theory of Defence is more than sufficient for your age and as far as protection goes, leave that to adults. There are no threats that warrant children to have to protect themselves" she said, then her eyes drifted over to Harry, "Despite what some of us might have us believe"

Harry was quiet for a moment before he spoke, "So who decided that theory alone is enough?"

"Of course, it was Minister Cornelius Fudge" she replied a little proudly.

"You mean the crackpot lunatic who got arrested not too long ago for viciously attacking reporters? That Cornelius Fudge?" asked Harry with a smirk.

"He was clearly framed!" shrieked Umbridge, "You are most likely to blame for that aren't you Mr Potter?"

"Yes, I snuck into the Ministry of Magic and used all the extremely high level magic that a fourth year student of Hogwarts knows to somehow get the Minister for Magic to attack reporters for my own nefarious plans" said Harry with a mocking tone. 'Though that is exactly what happened' thought Harry, smirking internally.

His reply caused the class to burst out laughing, Hermione grinned and Lily clutched her stomach laughing harder than most.

"You dare mock your teacher?" shrieked Umbridge, her face turning red from rage and embarrassment. "10 points from Gryffindor"

"Don't get so touchy just because you no longer have any authority with Fudge gone" mocked Harry.

Just as she was about to reply, Harry's eyes narrowed dangerously as he continued.

"Though if you do want to cause trouble for everyone, then the - situation - from the courtroom might just happen at any time" he warned.

Umbridge immediately shut up. Remembering the pain she had experienced in the courtroom, she paled noticeably and after several moments, she finally staggered back to her desk and sat down with her head bowed down, not daring to look at Harry.

"Read from chapter one and continue reading till class is finished" she mumbled loud enough for everyone to hear her.

'She shouldn't cross the line for the time being, I'll take care of her later' thought Harry.
