CHAPTER FORTY EIGHT:

HE-WHO-MUST-NOT-BE-NAMED DEFEATED (12 March, 1996)

Despite fervent assurances by Minister Fudge on the contrary, three nights ago DMLE Head Amelia Bones discovered claims of You-Know-Who's return to be truth – when confronted with the freshly deceased body.

"Late Friday night Senior Auror Kingsley Shacklebolt side-along apparated me directly into Voldemort's hideout," Madam Bones informs us at Saturday afternoon's press conference. "Waiting for me there were Harry Potter-Black, Severus Snape, and the body of Lord Voldemort, beheaded and under a stasis spell. I immediately called for an Auror team to search the building and a forensics team to check the dead body, and I cannot tell you how relieved I was to receive official confirmation that the dead body was indeed that of the late Lord Voldemort, and that he was most definitely dead. In the same building was a second shock of the evening – Peter Pettigrew, very much alive and with Voldemort's brand on his arm, was hiding out among his fellow Death Eaters."

While the other reporters remain frozen in shock at the blunt statements of our DMLE Head, this intrepid reporter manages to get more information for our curious readers. Most importantly: Who defeated You-Know-Who, and how? Who is Harry Potter-Black? What role does Severus Snape, Hogwarts Potions Master, play in this situation?

To this reporter's surprise, the answer comes not from Madam Bones, but from her raven-haired companion. "My name is Lord Harry James Potter-Black," announces the stranger, "and I killed Voldemort with a Cutting Curse to the neck. Severus Snape, our spy in Voldemort's ranks," his gesture in Madam Bones' direction suggests that Snape is the DMLE's spy, "apparated me into Voldemort's hideout and watched my back. This victory would not have been possible without him."

But who is this mysterious Lord? "I am not related to Harry Potter," the man declares upon the question, his smile suggesting hidden secrets, "I AM Harry Potter." At this reporter's request for clarification he reveals a truth too fantastical to believe. According to Lord Potter-Black, he is a future version of our very own Boy-Who-Lived, and traveled back in time to defeat You-Know-Who.

"Lord Potter-Black allowed himself to be questioned under Veritaserum; he speaks the truth," Madam Bones assures the readers. When asked whether the Daily Prophet could have a copy of the interrogation for publication Madam Bones informs us that the original questioning is too detailed for publication, but that the Ministry certainly can forward a condensed version to the Daily Prophet for publication. "Voldemort is dead," Lord Potter-Black declares, his voice firm with conviction. "Now is the time to look to the future; for Britain to reestablish itself as an international player and ensure that this will not happen again. Britain has suffered much under recent Dark Lords, and we must educate the next generation so that we will not face a repeat of the same situation a few years on. Together, let us work towards lasting peace and prosperity."

As I look to my fellow reporters I see that I am not the only one wondering whether Minister Fudge will soon be out of a job.

ALBUS DUMBLEDORE – DYING?

LARGRAXAXES CAPABLE OF TIME TRAVEL!

On Saturday morning Lady Poack, who goes by the alias Harry Potter-Black, revealed to me the means of true time travel: One must have a domesticated Largraxaxe! As we have reported in the past, Largraxaxes are extremely difficult to find, but Lady Poack was able to explain to me the reason for it.

"Largraxaxes are the only species capable of controlled time travel, and when one is close to finding one it simply hops into another time," she explains in a very credible man's voice. According to the Lady, Largraxaxes have the appearance of large, blue-and-green toads with bright orange saliva and yellow blood.

"In order for a human to jump through time, they need to domesticate a Largraxaxe and have it voluntarily bite the human. Mixing the saliva with a human's blood – within the body," the Lady specifies intently, "sends the human back in time."

But what sends a human forward in time, you ask? "You don't want to know," the Lady assures, a delicate shudder running through the manly figure. "I will limit myself to saying that a liquid from the other end of the Largraxaxe's body is needed."

Unfortunately, she was forced to leave her Largraxaxe in the future when attempting such a long jump – Lady Poack came from over a century in the future, reverting to a youthful appearance as a side-effect of the Largraxaxe saliva used to power the time jump. When told sympathetically that she is sure to regain her womanly figure soon, Lady Poack laughs in a delightful tenor. "I will admit that I look far too boyish for my liking; perhaps I will at least gain a bit of muscle and look more like an adult." I assured her that she looked very manly in the regal robes she wore, and she thanked me for the compliment. I couldn't help but notice that she glanced at her shoulder in a way that suggested an invisible Jerming was perched there.

What other wondrous creatures has the mysterious Lady Poack managed to domesticate? I will endeavor to find out soon!

It was a failed ritual to summon the four angels of prostitution in to one embodiment. Lucien simply combined it with a few voodoo aspects and boom. Now his Harlot rested naked against his chest in the middle of a massacre site.
Lucien loved the dark magic. planning of the ritual was done out of sheer boredom. Though, he always did want to try it out at least once after he left Hogwarts. Never would he have thought, that when trying to suppress his rouge Veela abilities, it would form a split personality and take matters into its own hands.
Viktor, Zabini, and Harry , ate breakfast and drank with the ladies they spent then night with. No one was able to leave, as long as Lucien kept the place enchanted.
When Lucien finally awoke. Nymphadora was coming to as well. "Did...I satisfy you…My Lord?"

The women who had their eyes focused on Lucien's morning wood, were shaken from their haze when they heard Zabini's words. But before they could ask questions, they were down for the count. " so what do you plan to do with her Harry" Lucien asked
"She and I did many things, last night. And we also had a chat. She agreed to allow me to keep her. I was wondering if you could get a magical contract off the books and help me claim my vault. I want to start living for myself." Harry explained

Lucien smiled and nodded. Conjuring some clothes. Lucien cleaned up the mess and let Nymphadora go back to her day life after taken her information to reach out at a later date. Little did he know how big of a mistake that was. He had no recollection of what he had told Nymphadora to do the night before.
Viktor and Zabini returned to school, while Lucien took Harry and his lady friend to see Mr.Kerlaag.
It was easy business for Harry to claim his vault, with Lucien's help. All 'Guardians' were scrubbed from having access to his vault. And he had became the sole holder. That day Harry Potter had become a Lord. And inherited his ancestral house before His father and mother were forced to move to Godric's Hallow to hide from Voldemort.
Exchanging some galleons for pounds. Harry gifted them to his lady friend after she signed the magical contract. Binding her to a life all about Harry. With Harry's affairs in order. He sent his lady to the house that belonged to his mother's parents in London, so she could finish her education.
On the way back to Hogwarts, Lucien and Harry talked about the Horcruxes and how to find them in order to kill Voldemort. Harry even agreed to let Lucien dive into his mind to figure out what made him so special.
The days the followed were peaceful, Lucien finally figured out how to hear the egg after sticking it in a bucket of water. With the resolve to live his best life, Lucien decided to take two dates to the Yule Ball, Padma and Katie, who both agreed. Sending waves through the school. But what happened next was something for Hogwarts Dark history Books. Operation Subdue Cho was in full effect. But what made things difficult, was that Cho at some point began to avoid Harry. To find out why, Lucien summoned Vega, his Variant Wampus cat from training. She now had six tails and was brimming with power.
When she returned, Vega had told Lucien that Cho remembered seeing Katie kill Padma. And now that Harry was hanging around that crowd, she saw him differently. He was no longer cute and cuddly like she had imagined. Katie was put through the ringer for not telling Lucien about Cho and her memories. Which caused Katie's feelings to be hurt for a while.
"Okay boys. Change of plans. I'll handle Cho, when I'm finished, Harry comes in and does his thing. Here I had this made for you." Lucien handed him a ring made of quicksilver and Lapis Lazuli " I call it the mind band. It allows you into people's mind without the cruel side effects of unskilled Legilimency. So, you better sweep her of her feet... You guys keep the Sissy Diggory occupied." Said Lucien.
And like that. Seiichi rode the wind and spirited Cho away. Probing her mind, he found the memories of Flitwick's banquet and erased everything. But along the way, Lucien had found some very compromising shit. He knew Harry wouldn't be disappointed with Cho.
Leaving to find harry and the gang, he arrived in the middle of a small battle between Diggory and his boys, Harry, Zabini, and Viktor.
Viktor and Zabini pretty much handled everything. It was apparent that Harry needed major tutoring. "Hey!" Lucien called out "She's heading for the quidditch field. Hop to it stud!"
As Harry took off, Lucien teleported Diggory away, searching his mind Lucien had discovered that Diggory didn't even like Cho. He seen that Harry had a thing for her and pursued her as a revenge for Harry taking his glory as the Hogwarts chosen. Halfway through Diggory's memories, a vision hit Lucien like a bolt of lightning. His seer eyes turned grey and flashes of Diggory killing Potter appeared in his mind. Once Potter died a piece of Voldemort died, but he still went on to conquer the British wizarding world. With out harry, a few horcruxes couldn't be identified. Sacrificing himself Voldemort killed Azeroth and Dumbledore leaving Brittan defenseless. After resurrecting with another Horcrux, he went on to conquer for hundreds of years. Turning Brittan into a dark hegemony. While wielding…Dumbledore's Wand?
Lucien's vision ended, after he immediatly killed Diggory in a fit of rage. and claimed his wand to devour. Calming his breathing down, Lucien got himself under control. All of the emotions in his vision entered his body like they were fired from a Gatling gun, threating to tare his body to shreds.
"Qestiyah!" he shouted and felt wave of energy wash over him "I want to know everything about Potter, Dumbledore and Voldemort. And their wands. I want you destroy spirits if you have to. I'm missing something and I want to know what."


This Fan-Fiction is a little different. The MC will not know of the Harry Potter stories, And through his eyes we will be able to see the darker side of the Harry Potter Universe.

Harrison woke up early in a much better shape than he had been for a while he guessed it was the effect of the three times healing after all no coma patient who had been out of commission for 2 year could already speak properly after waking up for only three days. He looked around his room out of boredom and found it was clean and dimly lit and switched on the light signally to the nurse that he had woken up.

 After all he was right next to the nurses room and the nurse from yesterday had given him a bell to ring in case he needs anything he knew the only reason this was possible was due to him being a VIP with his father having a high social status.

He looked at the clock in front of him it said 9 and decided to ring the bell to call the nurse because he wanted to know if the doctor had allowed him to eat food or to just stick with IV drops.

A nurse, a women probably in her early twenties came in just a few minutes and upon asking her if he could eat food or not she replied "I am sorry Mr Harrison the doctor had told you to wait a week or two to consume any solid food and has told you to stick to IV drops for the weeks after all it your first step towards rehab".

Harrison asked "So when will this rehab start?".

Nurse answered "The rehab will start as soon as we get permission from your parents after your meeting".

Harrison asked "Can I at least have water,please ?.

Nurse responded "Yes wait a few moments".

She came back with water and after Harrison drank it all in one gulp he asked "Do you know when my parents will be back ?". The nurse responded "They will arrive within a few hours as they took the first flight to Manchester and your uncle should also be coming with them".

Harrison asked "Can I borrow a Laptop for my entertainment ?". 

Harrison knew he was pushing it slightly after all there was no way they would just give him a laptop just because he was a VIP but then there was no shame in asking after all he was borrowing it for just a few hours.

The nurse slightly stunned by the request responded "I can lend you my laptop for a while as I am not using it but when I require it I will come back and take it".

Harrison quickly responded "Thanks a ton".

The nurse soon bought a laptop and after switching it on and entering the password left it under Harrison care and left to attend other patients. Harrison now in access to a laptop decided to surf the net for any news and clues for the things missing in this world after all he could use it as his bargaining chip with his parents to enter the entertainment industry.

He also wanted to see details about his father movie studio and book publishing and after reading few articles became slightly disheartened as his father had a nice studio and a relatively famous movie studio but was incurring losses in his book publishing business as the book publish were not having any significant sales and was on the verge of closure.

This was all due to there not being any popular book published and the book publishing seeing zero to no sales. Harrison wanted to help his dad out but had no clue of what he should do. He tried his best to recall any good books from 2010 and the first thing that came in his mind was Harry Potter.

He had a lot of self doubt about this as there was no way that Harry Potter had not being published yet after all the movies came to an end by 2011 but he still gave it a search on Google to see if there was a possibility that it didn't exist after all that what the introduction told him there were many things missing in the industry.

The search result shocked him as he found that there was no such book in the market. He was dumbfounded as this was a big book that had hundreds of million of fans worldwide and it had actually gone missing in this world. 

Harrison quickly searched for different relevant thing back in the 2000s and from his estimation the entire industry had so many works missing that it could be said that the whole industry was 5 to 6 year backward than how it should have been.

The first thing he wanted to do now was to write and send Harry Potter to his father publishing before June 24th which was the official closing date for the publication on it official website. Now the only problem that came at him was how was he suppose to do that as he had to get the book published and publicize before the closure to the point that the sales of it alone could sustain the book publishing firm.

There was also another problem that was all he could remember from the plot was the basics as not much actually happen in the first book other than introduction and he had to type it all down word to word. He then remembered about the memory capsule but wondered how much would he be able to remember from having one and how long it would last.

He removed one from his inventory and ate it without thinking and tried his best to recall the first book of Harry Potter page by page and suddenly he felt like he was rereading the page they kept popping up one by one and finally after a while the pages stopped appearing and Harrison could clearly remember a total of 22 pages of the first book completely.

After opening his eyes he could clearly remember all of them to the point that even if he ever mention Harry Potter they would surface in his mind. Harrison could hardly believe the miraculous effect of the pill but he thought to himself then again I could hardly believe my death, rebirth and everything that has happen until now. 

Harrison before closing the laptop checked out his father net worth which turned out to be a shocking 500 million and it turned out this all came from the movies that had made by his dad the amount mainly came from hit movies that resulted in around box office collection of 50 to 80 million in the last few years by his dad studio.

Harrison quickly deleted his search history to not leave any evidence of him searching such big things that he was going to produce online and there being clues of him being from the future. After closing the laptop Harrison saw that time had past by quiet quickly as it was already 12 pm.

He figured by now his parents should have informed the staff at what time their flight was going to be and when they were going to arrive as he was really looking forward to meet this family as from the memories he had received he could say that these were the most loving pair of parents he had ever seen in existence.

The same nurse came in and upon being questioned answered that his parents had already boarded the plane and would arrive around 2 to 3 o'clock. Harrison gave the nurse a faint smile upon hearing her answer and saw that she slightly blushed and went away.

Harrison decided to eat all the capsule one by one to see how much of the first book he could accumulate into his memories. After he closed his eyes one by one from each capsule 2 to 23 pages kept arriving and being stored into his long term memories. The Last thing Harrison did before the effect of the pill went off was to check the total number of pages the first book had to know how many capsule he would need to finish it.

Thee number that came out of the darkness was 223 and after which the effect got over and everything in front of his closed eyes went blank. Harrison quickly calculated that he  would need around 10 pills to complete this book but it lead him to another predicament he didn't know where to get the pills from and how to accumulate them.

After thinking for a while Harrison decided to use the Special Lottery Draw

Chapter Two

A few weeks later, in the middle of Defense Against the Dark Arts, Harry had an idea so obvious he couldn't believe he hadn't thought of it before. He let out a surprised, excited yelp and knocked his book off his desk. Snape sneered at him and asked what, precisely, was suddenly so exciting about underwater protection spells. Thinking fast, Harry said that if he had known them for the second task of the Tri-Wizard tournament, that would have been useful. Again, Snape asked why that was relevant, and when Harry didn't have an answer, Gryffindor was docked five points.

Harry nearly approached Snape after class, but by the time his classmates filed out the next class was entering, and he was hardly alone. So he quickly caught up with Ron and Hermione, spending the rest of the day lost in thought as to how he could get Snape alone long enough to ask, never mind how to bring up the subject.

He spent several days contemplating these questions, even in his Basilisk form, which was coming out more and more frequently. Eventually he decided on a course of action and the very next day he found himself knocking on Snape's office door when he was supposed to be at lunch. He would have preferred to wait until evening, but that would hardly be safe.

"Come in," Snape said distastefully, as if he already knew it was Harry at his door. Harry opened the door as little as possible and squeezed through. Snape looked up from his desk and gave him a disdainful look. "What do you want, Potter? How can I be of service to the savior of the wizarding world?"

Harry flinched and stayed pressed against the door, keeping his eyes on his shoes. They were disgusting from spending so much time in the Chamber, covered in grime and dirt and—

"If you're going to say something then say it," Snape remarked scornfully. "I do not intend to spend my entire lunch hour waiting for you to ask whatever pathetic—"

"Y'know the Wolfsbane potion?" Harry interrupted.

Snape didn't answer right away. "You know I am familiar with it."

"I was wondering if there were other potions, for other sorts of were-creatures," Harry asked, eyes still on his sneakers. "I've been growing more and more interested in potions, the more difficult the better—you can ask Professor Slughorn, he's given me permission to be in the restricted section of the library—and I know how volatile Wolfsbane is, so I thought maybe there was something along the same lines but a bit easier to start with." He had thought of this excuse in the wee hours of the morning, and was pleased with himself.

"There are no other were-creatures, Potter," Snape replied, his vague interest replaced by boredom. "I'd think if you were so interested in such things, you would have figured that out by now."

Harry thought that was true, but he had been really hoping there was just one other were, making the lead-in less awkward. "I didn't come across any, no," he said carefully. "But I was thinking, since there are no messages from the supposed Heir of Slytherin, and the Chamber of Secrets has been searched exhaustively, maybe it would be possible for someone here, at Hogwarts, to have become a, er, were-Basilisk?"

Snape was completely silent for a very long time. Then Harry heard the snick of the door being locked, and his heart sped up.

"Werewolves are created when an uninfected human is bit by a wolf in its changed state," he said eventually. "With the absence of any documentation of were-Basilisks, as you say, there would be no one to pass down the disease."

"Well, maybe just a bite from one would be enough," Harry said, growing more and more quiet. "I've researched that, too, and there are no cases of anyone surviving a Basilisk bite, so we can't really know, can we?"

An even longer silence, and that was really not a bright thing to have said, because there was a documented case, a single one, and that was Harry.

"Except for yourself."

Harry couldn't look up, wouldn't have been able to even under the Imperius Curse. "Right, that hadn't occurred to me," he said, this time his voice unnaturally high. "I guess that proves there isn't such a thing. Sorry for wasting your time, Professor." He turned around and tried to leave before remembering Snape had locked the door.

"Even you are not that dull, Potter," Snape said. "If you were seriously considering the possibility of such a human-Basilisk hybrid, you would be your own case study."

"I suppose," Harry said.

A very, very, very long pause.

"Potter, are you trying to tell me you have become this creature?"

Harry leaned his head against the door. This had been stupid. Beyond stupid. Idiotic. Snape was going to send him to Azkaban, he would go from being the Golden Boy to the most dangerous sideshow attraction ever, and he'd spend the rest of his life locked up and studied in some basement laboratory of the prison.

Unless Snape decided just to outright kill him, which Harry certainly wouldn't blame him for.

"Um," Harry whispered. "Maybe."

"Maybe?" Snape asked dangerously. "You cannot 'maybe' turn into a murderous snake. Either you do or you don't, there's no middle ground."

Harry closed his eyes. "Yes, Professor," he said so quietly he was amazed Snape had heard him at all.

"And you have come to me in hopes of a potion to retain your mental faculties while you are in your changed form," Snape said, remarkably unsurprised.

"Well, um, no, not exactly," Harry stammered. "I'm fine in that regard. All the attacks, as you have called them, they were all accidents. I feel awful about it, you have no idea. I was wondering if there was a potion to, er, deactivate my eyes."

To Harry's extreme shock, Snape sounded more intrigued than anything else. "There are several curses that blind," he said. "I assume you have tried these?"

Harry's eyes flew open. "Er, no, that hadn't occurred to me."

Snape sighed irritably. "Why you are known for your mental prowess I can only guess. Come back to me if those don't work."

The click of the door unlocking.

"You—you're not going to turn me in?"

More silence. "I owe you a great deal, Harry Potter, far more than I wish. As dangerous as you are, you know it, and I have no doubt the attacks were accidents. You were always fond of that oaf. Provided there are no more accidents, I will keep your secret."

Harry's mouth hung open. "Thank you."

"In fact, it was dangerously irresponsible for you not to come to me sooner," Snape continued. "As both the Defense Against the Dark Arts professor and potions master, it should have been obvious you seek out my assistance.

"Now get out of my office so I can finish my lunch."

Harry changed that night. He was excited again, and just that rush was enough that it was worth it. Except he had a lot of trouble with his wand, and frustration quickly took over. He couldn't pick it up because he had no hands. He didn't want to lie on it and risk crushing it. He couldn't point it at himself because he couldn't pick it up.

Then he realized he could. He wrapped his tail around his wand and pointed it at himself. The question then became whether spells cast in Parseltongue would work, or if he was even speaking Parseltongue or just regular hissing.

He tried the blinding jinx. To his delight, his eyes were obscured by a black cloud. His elation lasted for a few seconds before the cloud vanished.

Next he tried the blinding hex. His vision went blurry for a moment before returning to normal.

The only other spell he had come across was a blinding curse, which permanently destroyed eyesight. Harry was willing to try it, but not yet. He made a deal with himself—if he killed anyone, he'd do everything in his power to destroy his eyes, from a curse down to flaming pokers, if it came to that. But, until then, he'd wait.

He curled up into his coils. Even if those spells had worked, he wouldn't be able to see, which defeated the point. He retained his mental faculties, as Snape had put it, and was fully capable of staying in the Chamber while he was transformed. It was freedom that he wanted.

He needed to talk to Snape again.

Harry once again went to Snape's office during lunch and knocked.

"Come in, Potter."

Harry did, glaring at his professor. "What was that about?" he asked. "What if it wasn't me? What would you have done then?"

Snape glared at him. "You think I'm so stupid? I've cast spells around myself to alert me to your presence, in case you change your mind and decide to kill me."

Harry flushed. "Oh. Right."

"I take it the spells failed to impair your vision?"

"Yeah," Harry said. "Also, well, I'd like to be able to see."

Snape's eyes widened. "You like being a Basilisk?"

Harry closed his eyes. "Not hurting people, I hate that."

"Yes, yes, so you've said," Snape said, irritated. "Other than that, though, you enjoy your other form."

Harry nodded silently.

Snape considered. "Sit, Potter. This is going to take some time."

Harry risked a glance at his professor. Still, even with this knowledge, Snape didn't seem repulsed. Just curious. And, if Harry was reading him right, maybe even excited at the challenge. Harry slipped away from the door and sat at his desk.

"The Wolfsbane potion isn't remotely useful," Snape said, getting up and running a finger along his many books. "You know who you are, that's not an issue. You need something to deactivate your vision. There were many attempts at this when Basilisks roamed the land, but since their supposed extinction centuries ago, there was no need to continue. Not only that, but there are no creatures other than the Basilisk who can kill with their eyes, so there is nothing current to modify. However…" He pulled a book off the shelf and returned to his desk, flipping it open to the right page.

"What's that?"

"The last mention of the potion," Snape replied. "Five centuries old, but perhaps there is something here that can help your cause." He fell into silence, reading the passage. Harry fidgeted nervously. "You can go, Potter. This will take more time than I had anticipated. I will summon you when you are needed."

Harry stood and was almost out the door when Snape spoke again.

"You have been spending your nights in the Chamber of Secrets, haven't you?"

Harry paused. "Yes, Professor."

"I must be very careful in deciding where to brew this potion," he said. "Regardless of the protection spells on my office, there are alarms in place regarding Basilisks. It is not possible for me to attempt this in my office. When do you take to the Chamber?"

"No," Harry said immediately. "No, you're not coming with me. What if I looked at you?"

Snape looked up from his book and gave Harry a very irritated look. "Don't," he said shortly. "On the nights you don't transform you will help me with the brewing, and on the nights when you do, we will perform tests."

"Wouldn't those alarms be even stronger on the Chamber?" Harry asked. "Given how that's where the Basilisk came from last time."

"It's been officially sealed," Snape replied. "Impossible to get in or out. It was thought no one in the school could speak Parseltongue, but it seems that gift has stayed with you. Besides, all pipe exits are being monitored. Now tell me, Potter, when do you enter? Unlike you, I do not have the gift of Parseltongue."

Harry fidgeted again. "Eight," he said eventually. "I used to go in later, but—"

"Fine," Snape interrupted. "I will meet you at the entrance then."

Harry's hand was on the door when Snape asked, "How are you explaining your continued absence to your roommates?"

"Enchanted curtains," he said. "I go to bed, enchant the curtains closed, put on my cloak and perform a Disillusionment charm so I can get out of the curtains without being noticed. I sneak back in before anyone wakes up and pretend I've never left."

Snape nodded curtly. "Very well. Eight it is."

Professor Snape was already there when Harry showed up. He was very relieved; he had been terrified Snape would arrive late and he would have already transformed and something terrible would happen. As it was, he didn't change at all that night.

Harry didn't know what he had been expecting, but the night was like the most difficult, boring, endless potions lesson he'd ever had. In fact, that's exactly what it was. Snape lectured him on the history, chastised him for not preparing the ingredients correctly, even outright yelled at him a few times for being, as he called it, "an insufferable, idiotic, egotistical prat". Those words, exactly, three or four times.

He also accused Harry of faking it, of dragging him on a fool's errand to humiliate him in front of the entire school. Harry pointed out, quite angrily, that he could hardly bring the whole school down here, now could he? To which Snape just glared angrily and returned to his book. Harry, however, continued on, telling him that he had no control over his changing or even any idea when it would happen, that he'd spent a long time trying to find a pattern with no luck whatsoever, and if he could control it, of course he'd turn into a giant, deadly snake just for Snape's benefit but, unfortunately, he wasn't quite that brilliant.

"That will be our next project, then," Snape said, calming in the face of another impossible potion. "Once we've got your eyes under control, we'll investigate your ability to change. In the mean time, write down absolutely everything. The dates, the times, the phases of the moon, anything you can possibly think of."

"Fine," Harry said, shoving over a pile of orange zest.

"It was very foolish of you not to have kept a detailed account of your transformations already," Snape replied, carefully looking at the consistency of the zest. "If you were truly dedicated to finding a pattern, we'd already have—how long did you say this has been going on?"

"Since the second week of school," Harry said. "There were signs for years, but I didn't figure it out until I actually changed."

"Of course not," Snape said, returning the zest to Harry. "Finer."

Harry ground his teeth together.

"That would have given us several months worth of data we are missing," Snape continued. "Now tell me about these signs."

Harry ended up not transforming for a full week, by the end of which Snape would barely speak to him at all, and what little he did say revolved entirely around accusing Harry of faking it in order to feed his "insatiable ego". Though, Harry pointed out, he was still here, and they were still brewing the potion.

"As long as there's a chance you're not lying and I might be able to get you under control, I won't stop," Snape said smoothly, though Harry could hear the anger in his voice. "Now chop these—"

Snape cut off. Harry smirked, just for a moment, before the pain was too much and he started screaming. He had no idea how long the transformation took, only that it seemed like ages, and even longer when he kept his eyes closed the whole time.

"I told you," Harry said, coiling around and hiding his face. Then he realized he was hissing, and Snape had no idea what he was saying. He couldn't even smirk properly, not with a snake's face, especially not when he couldn't look at the man.

"You—" Snape tried. "You—you weren't lying."

"Of course not," Harry hissed irritably.

"The potion isn't ready yet," Snape said, and he sounded exactly like himself again. "You'll just have to sit there while I work."

"Finally," Harry muttered. He closed his eyes and fell asleep.

He woke up five or six hours later. Snakes required much less sleep than humans, which worked out well, given all his sleepless nights wandering as the Basilisk. Not to mention his sleepless nights shivering in the Chamber, and now his sleepless nights staying up brewing with Snape. He had supplied them with a very strong version of Pepper Up, and that helped, but the only thing that really worked was spending as much time possible as a snake. He nearly uncurled before remembering he wasn't alone. Instead he hissed loudly, hoping to tell Snape he was awake.

"Good night's sleep, Potter?" Snape asked irritably. Harry heard the sound of Snape drinking something, no doubt Pepper Up. "Not all of us are so lucky."

Harry hissed angrily.

"Don't bother, you know I can't understand you," Snape replied. "I wrote down when you transformed, by the way. It failed to occur to me that you cannot write when in your current form. Nor can we communicate, so just stay curled up like that until you change back."

"I'm teaching you Parseltongue on the nights I'm not changed," Harry replied. He had spent a lot of time curled up like this, yes, but he'd gotten used to having company, no matter how difficult Snape was.

"Can't understand you," Snape replied. "Stay quiet, I need to focus."

The next three nights were much the same, but on the fourth Harry didn't transform.

"I'm teaching you Parseltongue," Harry said as soon as he entered the bathroom. "It's bollocks we can't talk when I'm a Basilisk. Open the passage."

Snape stared at him. "Parseltongue cannot be taught, Potter," he said. "It's a genetic trait."

"Then rewrite your genes," Harry said. "Open the passage."

Snape's stare changed to a glare. "Watch your mouth, Potter."

"Open the bloody passage," Harry snapped. "Otherwise we're going to stay in this bathroom all night long."

"And if you change?" Snape asked.

"Then I'll lay against the door, blocking it, and close my eyes," he said. "I can stand another few nights of being stuck with my eyes closed, and I'd bet you a hundred Galleons you're too excited to get back to work to not try."

Snape was furious. "I cannot speak Parseltongue!" he said again. "Your stubbornness is not going to change that! And," he added, almost as an afterthought, "I do not wager with students."

"I'll give you ten minutes of trying," Harry said, taking out his wand and conjuring a countdown. "If you can't get it by then, I'll open it."

"You're an idiot," Snape replied angrily. "All you're doing is delaying your own cure."

"The countdown doesn't start until you try," Harry said calmly. "Don't you think it would be useful if we could have spent the last three nights talking? As much as you hate me, you hate it even more when I clam up and refuse to tell you about this, which I will do if you don't even attempt to learn. You need as much information as you can get, you say. Spending three nights curled up hissing at you can't be as useful."

"Fine," Snape spat. "You're only wasting your own time."

Harry started the clock.

Snape didn't even come close, but at least that gave them something to talk about other than going over the progression of Harry's condition over and over again. Snape ended up so frustrated he knocked a pile of bat eyes to the floor, after which he declared the teaching session over for the night. He made Harry spend the rest of the night cleaning the eyes, which was a huge waste of time because a simple Aguamenti would have fixed it, but apparently this new phase of their relationship hadn't tempered Snape's penchant for punishment.

Following the events in the evening, not only did Irena's and Edward's popularity instantly skyrocket, so did Harry Potter's. Going from most hated to one of the most popular three students currently lifing at Hogwarts, the kid's overall demeanour became instantly more relaxt the fllowing day.
With the ranking obvious, but not announced ast night, rankings that where hung near the entrance of the Great Hall draw the attention of anyone, with yhe rankings being as follows:

Sitting together with his two beautiful fiancees, his sister and her friends in the Great Hall for breakfast, Edward has a bright smile on his face, while observing his surroundings.
He sees Harry looking at a beautiful asian girl named Cho, who sometimes looks back at him. The only problem with that being the one time, their eyes met and Harry spills milk from his mouth.
''Look at this!...'' Edward suddenly hears his sister complain and curse from behind a newspaper. ''... I can't believe it she's done it. 'Miss Granger, sister of Edward Granger, a plain but ambitious girl seems to be developing a taste for famous wizards. Her latest prey sources report is none other than the Bulgarian bon-bon Viktor Krum. No word yet on how Harry Potter's taking this latest emotional blow'. That fucking bitch.''
''I agree with you on that one...'' Says Irena, while eating a meaty sandwich. Winking her eyes at Edward teasing him, she states. ''... Rita Seeker is a bitch, no critic comming from me on that.''
Ignoring his girlfriend's comment, Edward tells his sister. ''Just relax lil sis...'' Pointing at the article of the front page, that calls him the 'NEXT GREAT THREAT TO THE WIZARDING COMMUNITY', he says. ''... At least she doesn't call you the next Voldmord.''
Earning himself a chuclle and a fist bump from Harry across the table, Edward spots a young boy walking up to Ron, Harry and Hetmiones red haired friend that still hates him, holding a package.
''Parcel for you Mr Weasley.'' Says the boy to Ron.
Taking the package, Ron tells the boy. ''Thank you Nigel.''
The Nigel in question, instead of walking away, blatantly gazes at Harry, Irena and Edward.
Noticing his little poastman's awakward behaviour, Ron mumers to him. ''Not now Nigel. Later. Go on.''
Seeing Nigel nod before leaving, Edward like everyboy gives Ron an evil eye for apparently exploiting the boy.
''What? I told him I'd get him Harry's autograph...'' The red head says in his defence,while reading the return address, as he opens the package. ''Oh look mum's sent me something... Mum sent me a dress??''
''You know that is still childlabour...'' Comments Sibilla, before noticing the 'dress' in question. ''... Nice suit, I guess.''
Laughing with everybody, Edward hears Harry ad to the excitement by commenting. '' Well it does match your eyes. Is there a bonnet?''
In an attempt to escape the inevetable, Ron runs over to another table to his Ginny, the cute red head Edward had met when going shopping with Hermione. From his place between Sibilla and Irena, Edward can hear ron tell his sister. ''These must be for you.''
Snickering Ginny tells her brother. ''I'm not wearing that it's ghastly.''
From everybody that laughts once again, Hermione is the loudest.
Looking pissed at Hermione, Ron asks her. ''What are you on about?''
Snickering, just as annoying as Ginny before her Hermione tells Ron. ''They're not for Ginny they're for you! Dress robes.''
''Dress robes? For what?'' Asks Ron, looking stupid.
Smirking at the boys sillyness, Edward tells him. '' The yule ball,what else? It has been a tradition of the tri-wizard tournament since its
inception. On Christmas eve night we your guests and you gather in the great hall for well mannered frivolity. As representitives of the host school everybody expects you guys to put your best foot forward, and I mean this literally because the yule ball is first and foremost... a dance.''
Seeing both Ron and Harry groan, only the red head grumbles. ''Darn it. You sound exactly like McGonagall.''
''Speeking of the ball... Which one of us, your beautiful fiancees, are you taking to it?'' Asks Sibilla suddenly ot of nowhere, instantly drawing the attention of everyone of their small group.
Showing a teasing smile on her face, Irena also asks him. ''Yeah, wich one of us are you escorting to the ball?''
''Surely not you, you little devil...'' Shoots Edward back at her, before asking his sister and her friends. ''... What about you guys and lil sis, any dates?...'' Seeing the three of them shacke their head in shame, he comments shocked. ''... Oh, come on you two. Especially Potter! You can face of against a dragon but are unable to ask a girl out on a date? Not even my little sister, one of your alleged best friends?''
That said, Harry looks somewhere guilty and Ron suddenly has a stupid grin on his face. Leaning over to Hermione, he asks. ''Hey, Hermione. Who about us...''
''Not you Weasel be...'' Interrupts Edward the red head, his voice unnaturaly deep, pupils glowing golden and an air of kinglyness around him, that makes everybody uncomfortable, the exception being the Proudmore Twins. Feeling both Sibilla and Irena tuck each one of his arms, the former Allfather calms down, his voice and appearance changing back. Taking a deep breath, he say to Ron. ''... Before you ask my sister out, I will escort her myself to the ball.''
''Uh, great!...'' Exclaims Hermione before saying. ''... My dress will fit so good to one of your extravagant outfits!''
Feeling dark violent cold stares comming his way from his left and right, Edward tells his fiancees. ''Don't look at me like that. She is my sister and these two dimwits didn't think about her...'' He says while pointing at Ron and  Harry, who now look even more embarrassed than before.
''That didn't stop you in the past...'' States Sibilla before Irena explains. ''... Remember your 'sister' Hera... The one you left on that mountain.''
''That is not what happened, I...'' Wants Edward to explain, but curtain pale, black haired teacher suddenly appears from out of nowhere interrupting him. ''Mr Granger, Dumbledore wants to see you in his office for to have a little chat. I guess he has some questions he wants to have answered...'' Seeing Ron' age old dress robes, Snape comments. ''... I might want to transfigure that thing into something more appropriate for the Yule Ball, as to not fully embaress myself and my companion for the occasion, Mr Weasly.''
''Thank you for telling me, Professor Snape...'' Says Edward, happy to get out of this sticky situation with hid sister and fiancess. As he gets up from his place, he whispers to Irena. ''... I call upon the favour you still owe me. You take Sibilla to the ball as your plus one.''
As he is about to leave, he hears Irena ask. ''Are you sure? You could have also asked me for a more personal favour... I could have take care of your... ahm... needs.''
Knowing that she is revering to sexual services, Edward remains firm in his decision, sonce he knows that to enjoy her services, he will need to have balls and a cock, which he might lose, if he isn't using his favour on that.
Noding at Irena, Edward leaves the Great Hall, his friends and Snape to go to Dumbledores office. Walking through the Tapestry Corridor to get there, he finds Mad-Eye carry a box containing several ingredients out of a room labled 'Potions Storeroom', while acting very suspicious. Filing away the information in his head, Edward continues his journey to the headmaster's tower and Dumbledores office.

In an attempt to sourvive Ragnarok, the Allfather Odin and his two wives, the Asgardian Queen Frigg Aesir and the Valkyrie Queen Freya Vanir, have their soules transported into the Wizarding World.

        I watch Andromeda Tonks approach the house.
"Kreacher! Show the lady into the living room," I commanded.
"Yes, sir!"
        Looking out the window, I was waiting for Andromeda. I'm going to have a difficult conversation, with Black's illegitimate daughter. No pressure on her. I need her to want to get in contact with me. 
        Meanwhile, Andromeda walked into the living room.
"Hello, Mrs. Tonks. It's good to see you at Black's house."
"Hello, heir to the Black family. Unfortunately, I can't say I recognize you. Shame on my gray hair," she replied jokingly. She certainly didn't have any grays.
"My name is Evans. I'm known as Hero of Magical Britain, Harry Potter."
"How did I attract the attention of the Hero of Magical Britain, Mr. Evans?" There was no trace of the former joking tone.
"I find myself in a similar position to you. Both I and your family Dumbledore intended to be used as pawns sacrificed for the benefit of the Light Lord. He stole Sirius completely and sent him to prison when the boy began to interfere with his plans for me. Sirius had time to make a magical testament in my favor, otherwise, the Black family would have been cut short. I know that Nymphadora wants to be an Auror. But that's where she's going to be a student of Alastor Moody. I mean, right in Dumbledore's paws. Pretty soon, the new pawn will be ready. How Dumbledore made a pawn out of me and killed the Potter family, you know from the papers."
"Did your powers of providence cut through, Mr. Evans?"
"Yes, Mrs. Tonks, and very strong. Much better than your daughter's metamorphism."
"Why did you call me, speak clearly."
"I propose an alliance, I want to reinforce the Black family. As an adult, or even earlier, I will be Lord Black. I want you back in the family. I propose to found a younger branch of the Black family. The Tonks-Black family. And I need the services of a resident to gather information. Your services."
        Andromeda's been quiet for a long time, maybe a minute.
"What makes you think, Mr. Evans that I want to go back to the Family who did this to me?"
"It wasn't the Family who did this to you, Mrs. Tonks. You were insulted by the stupid bitch Walburga, thanks to her mania of purity, the Family is almost dead. I want to correct this misunderstanding."
"The Black family has much to offer. What kind of service do you require, Mr. Evans?"
"I need a person to gather information from the public, Mrs. Tonks. I'd like to note that to me, you're not a pawn, but a cousin aunt, you're primarily my relative. I will not put you in harm's way, and I will try to save you in case."
"Mr. Evans, you are young, and your enemies are many and strong. Will you live to be of age to fulfill your part of the alliance's obligations?"
"May I call you 'Auntie'?"
"As you wish."
"Dear Auntie, with respect to my enemies, I already follow the Second Rule of the Codex," and I mowed my eyes expressively on the belt where the sword that had already proved itself in battle rested.
"May I call you 'nephew', Mr. Evans?"
"With great pleasure, dear Auntie!"
"Nephew, I can see that despite your youth, you are already a rusty sticking nail in Dumbledore's chair. I need to think about your proposal."

"As you wish, dear Auntie. I sincerely hope that no matter what you decide, everything you've learned here today will remain a mystery to everyone but the two of us," I looked into her eyes inexpressive manner. According to the advice in "Protect Your Mind", I raised the sentence "Not even your great-grandchildren will regret the consequences of your silliness!" to the top of my mind.
        Andromeda pulled back and turned pale. She reads minds!
"Of course, heir Black. It was good to see you."
"It was good to see you, Auntie. Kreacher! Escort the lady out."
        If I understand anything about negotiations, she's mine. She's not going to Dumbledores. His reward is robbery and death. Sitting aside won't give her family pride. But with me, there's a chance of ascending to the old top of society. She knows I'm her family, and in the magical world, the family is not an empty sound. The only thing she has to do is work for the greatness of the Black family.
        Publication of the engagement document in the paper must have been the wrong move. On the one hand, yes, with this article, I pinned Dumbledore's balls tight. On the other hand, until this article was published, I had a chance to get the situation back on track. "Weasley, meet Harry at King's Cross," and there I could send them all to the rebirth. Weasley's standing on the Muggle platform was worthless to throw a grenade, or even two!  Nothing personal, just business. The Weasley family was trying to notify the Potter family. So the Potter family is going to destroy the Weasley family. Fanfics often say that destroying an enemy family with their children spoils karma. Such cruelty distorts the chakra. But it doesn't stop local magicians. Weasley only cares about the good of his redheaded family.  I'd rather be alive with dark karma than lie in the ground.
I'll keep quiet about the "inadmissibility of the destruction of the oldest generations." It's only in fanfic Malfoy's heart hurts from the destruction of the Potter family. In this world, Lucius will raise his glass.
        My fight against Weasley is ahead. Now that my cards have been revealed, my task becomes more difficult. The place of the action is unknown in advance. I have no heavy weapons to destroy them all at once with the Burrow. And it won't be long before I have something stronger than a rifle and grenade. It's not even that now, it's hard to buy a weapon in a kid's body! But on the other hand, Dumbledore's excuses and arguments in the press had to be interrupted. The spice must flow, the mudflow must not be stopped. That insidious spider will drown in shit. And Andromeda will help me with that.
       My Plan maximum is to deprive Dumbledore of all his posts. Including the Headmaster post. And to do so by word power alone. My department with Rita and Andromeda has a lot of work to do. We can wait until year two starts and catch them all. Malfoy, Weasley, the diary. But the explosion at Diagon Alley's store is unacceptable cruelty. It's too dirty a job. After this, I'm going to have the whole herd of magic on me. An extra ton of water on the Dumbledore Mill.
        It'd be perfect to let the diary kill Ginny. By year two, I'll have Hermione out of Hogwarts and transferred to France. But then we'll have Voldemort revived. And the diary is the strongest Horcrux, with half of Tommy in it. Destroying the diary is the way to victory. 
Now the easy ways are closed to me. With Malfoy and Weasley, I'll be fishing for individual actions. And no jokes like the canon, no Stupefy versus Avada. No wizard, so no problem.

  Alas, my magical powers are returning to their "primitive" norm. I was hoping I'd found an easy way to perform my powers. But in that couple of days, I had no problem studying Aquamenti and Diffindo. I understood the principle in a "strong" state so I could do the same spells in a weakened state as well. It's just a shame the new spells are useful, but they're almost nonfighting. I have a suspicion of how they work. I'll have to check, purely out of scientific interest. It's time for bed. It's been a difficult day. I had a serious conversation, and I've decided a lot for myself.

"Kreacher! We're going to France. Last time I was in a bad mood. But this time no one will stop us from looking around the house. Follow me."
"Sir, yes, Sir!"

    France, home of the Black family.

A movement spurt, and now I'm standing in the same place I was a week ago.
"Kreacher, get a minimum of order in the house. Put away the dirty clothes, sheets, bedspreads, wipe the blood."
        By the time I got home, the room looked almost nice. Gently made bed, rough boarded table, and some chairs. I especially liked that there were two windows on each wall. On the wall opposite the entrance, there was a fireplace between the maximally retracted windows. It is furiously cleaned by Kreacher. Thanks to the eight windows and one room, the house is light and pleasant. You can't even tell for sure what belongs to the Blacks.
        So, let's think. A werewolf found a house with fallen protection but a muggle-repellent spell. Perfect hiding place! The police will never find him here. How many people have been killed and raped by this maniac here? It's hard to imagine.
"Kreacher! Look around, there must be a cemetery."
        The cemetery was found behind the wall with the fireplace. I'd find it myself if I went around the house. There were about 40 hills.
"Sir, too many victims have been tortured here," said Kreacher. "A place of power was born. You could put up a stone of strength, and then you wouldn't have to feed the defense every year. In the mansion, we have a workpiece, sir."
"How long will a place of strength like this last?"
 "Two hundred years, sir. That's if not living here."
        It's a good thing, it's a good thing for the family. Then that's what we'll do. And on a wave of vigor after the ritual, I may be able to learn three or four more spells.
    "Kreacher, bring a basket of meat from the mansion. It's time to fry the meat on fire."
        I love France. The whole world can wait! It's my weekend.
