Sinopsis

Dumbledore is confused. If only Harry Potter is not a Hufflepuff, he might be suspicious of Harry. Harry Potter is charming, like young Tom Riddle. He is smart and all of his teacher like him, including Severus Snape, who can't say anything bad about Harry, because the boy did study hard and his performance in class is not behind Hermione Granger, the Gryffindor golden girl, who's he's friend with.

But, Harry is friends with everyone, from a muggleborn like Granger to Death Eater son like Nott and Malfoy. The Malfoy boy even try to conceal bullying from his fellow Slytherin in order to stay friends with Harry.

Dumbledore has give Harry Potter his new invisibility cloak, but the boy has put aside his cloak and focus himself on enjoying his holiday. He did not try the cloak, nor he use it to wandering around. Headmaster Dumbledore has been waiting for Harry in vain. He even put some mild spell on the cloak, so that Harry would come and seek the Mirror of Erised.

Dumbledore put the infamous Philosopher stone that he got from his friend, Nicholas Flamel inside the Mirror. He is planning to teach Harry how to fetch the stone from inside the Mirror.

But, Harry Potter never come.

When news of Black and Pettigrew come to Hogwarts, the other students has just arrived back from their holiday.

Harry feigned ignorance of the news. Everyone try to express their sympathy for Harry. To think the ministry put the wrong man in Azkaban for years. What an awesome law. Nobody is happy. But, Minister Fudge put the wrong in the previous minister, and even managed to drag down other people with him.

Headmaster Dumbledore has not been seen in Hogwarts for days. The Headmaster is busy explaining himself to the magical world about his involvement in Black case. Harry use the opportunity to go see the Mirror of Erised. It is located in an unused classroom in the 3rd corridor near where Fluffy, Hagrid's Cerberus is.

Harry has been wondering about what will he see in the Mirror. When he put himself in front  of the Mirror, it reflected himself, clearly. He tilted his head sideways, his reflection just blinked at him, then put his hand inside his trousers pocket. The stone is in his hand, in the Mirror, his reflection put the stone back at Harry and he felt the stone in his pocket. 

Harry take another stone from his breast pocket, he locked eyes with his reflection in the mirror, then drop the stone back in his pocket. The weight of the stone is missing in his pocket.

Done.

Iris and Harry walk down a little pathway that is headed for an old stone building. It's night time, so that people won't recognized that there is 2 kids wandering around in the dark.

They stop outside the buliding. The old house look abandoned. Harry knocked the door firmly. Silence follow the knock. 

Not long after, the door creaked open. A young man around 30 something show up, "Yes?" he asked, looking surprise to see 2 kids on his front door.

"We're looking for your master." Iris said.

The man look up and down on Harry and Iris and ask again, "Did you get lost?"

"We're looking for Voldemort." Harry said, making the man freeze. 

He laugh awkwardly, "I don't understand."

"He will." Harry nodded at the other man behind the first man.

"Potter and Swan." the man said, "What a surprise."

"You look better, Professor." Iris wave cheerily at Quirell that stand behind the door, hiding in the dark.

"Come, the Master want to see you." Quirell beckoned the kids.

Harry and Iris walked inside the house. The door closed behind them.

The first time Harry Potter repeat his life, he thought he got a second chance to fix everything  and save everyone.

The second time it happen, he thought that life (or is it death) must be play a joke at him.

The next time it happen again, he just feel tired and want it all to end.

Now it happen, Harry is surprised to find a little girl he never seen before.

"You've done it all wrong." Iris Swan said while giving Harry devil eyes, "you're saving the wrong people, making win the wrong side."

Harry is dumbfounded.

"It's okay. They are not going to come here again." Syrme explained calmly.

"Did they leave the country? It is because of you?" Alex asked, curiously.

"Let's just say that they are not going to come, and leave it at that."

"Okay... I guess I trust you for now." Alex said slowly.

"Now, try to say 'Lumos'" Syrme said to Evelyn.

"Lumos!" A bright light emerged at the end of the wand.

"Yes! I made it!" Evelyn celebrated jumping through the place with a happy face. 

The 5 of them had a magical core. Which means all of them could do magic. They were born from muggle families, so that would make them muggle-born.

It has been a year since he chose to live in this place. The cave was now illuminated. Lamps were hanging in the ceiling and were mysteriously turned on in spite of being a place without electricity. There were tables, food, comfortables beds, and a lot of couches.

The bodies of the werewolves from Fenrir's pack were thrown to the sea. The only thing that was left from all the mess was news about the disappearances of the five kids. No magic was used in the fight, so the magical community didn't think these five disappearances had to do anything with them.

If Syrme remembered correctly, for the magical community to know about them they would need to put a trace in the wand they bought and in the said wand, you would need to do magic with it.

The guys were getting very comfortable living here with rest. They couldn't go to school, but they were learning on their own with a little help from the System.

Syrme travelled around the world like always, trying to get across to new kinds of magic or things to do. The Dursley family was left forgotten, probably celebrating that he's gone. Dumbledore should be searching for him by now if he didn't notice the disappearance of Syrme from Privet Drive. But Syrme made sure there weren't any traces of him left or any tracking devices in his person, so it was going to be difficult if Dumbledore wanted to find him.

Now the cave was like a safe-haven for Syrme. The kids also wanted to travel a little too, so he sometimes took one or two with him.

They, at some point, discovered what happened to the guys that kidnapped them.

Instead of being afraid of Syrme, they tried to convince him to train them.

And they made it.

Not just in magic, but also they wanted to learn martial arts and such.

Syrme created a ward in the cave which principal function was to hide the trace of magic left and hide the place from external parties. Something like a fidelius charm but more tamed.

And just like that, another year passed. 

And another one.

As time passed by, Syrme found himself loving the place and the group.

Mike was rash and a little rude, but deep down, he was a good kid.

Evelyn was timid, but if you got to know her, she always would say silly things to lighten the mood all the time.

Sebas was also very timid, but since he started adapting to his circumstances, he began to show signs of a brave cavalier gentleman.

Alex was the boss of the group. The last word in decisions. Like a big brother.

Syrme was... like a father?

Syrme was like a father... in spite of being the second youngest of them.

Mike liked to train and eat, and he was afraid of highs.

Evelyn liked to read and sing.

Sebas was getting comfortable in his joke-present suit of a mini-butler.

Alex liked to cook and clean. But he hated anything out of place and not cleaned, much to the dismay of Mike.

Every one of them had things they liked and disliked.

Syrme was more open to them. Even sometimes, Syrme brought the group to several IDs. When they asked what this mysterious power Syrme had was, he had to lie.

The few people knew about the System, the better.

Somewhere along the way, Alex decided to name the group.

The black knights.

Syrme made sure of teaching all about the wizarding world that he remembered from the books. He needed them to be prepared just in case.

And just like that, Syrme's {Home} was found.

10-year-old Syrme was cleaning the dungeon of orcs and hobgoblins.

While he was killing some of them, he was talking to Mike and Alex about the incoming trouble in the magical world. They were already grown so they could make their desitions. If it were for Syrme, he wouldn't want to know anything that happens in the magical community of Britain. But, he also took into account of understanding about what could happen if he doesn't show up at Hogwarts. It could be different from what he read, but he didn't want to take any chances.

There are a lot of lives endangered in Hogwarts if Syrme decided to do nothing. Not only that, but he also decided, in memory of the poor Harry Potter that died in the cupboard, to end what his parents started.

That doesn't mean Syrme was prepared to go directly to the headmaster and lick his ass. He also knew from the books that Dumbledore didn't have his best intentions with Harry. A lot of manipulation and holes in the story didn't sit well with Syrme.

Dumbledore had a 'Greater Good' mentality. If it is for the greater good, some things that could be considered dubious, are right in his book. 

'The road to hell is paved with goods intentions.'

'Dumbledore wanted to end a greater evil. It's possible that with age, and a desperate attempt to end what he couldn't, he though in putting his hopes in a prophecy child whose destiny was to finish the dark lord. Harry fit the criteria perfectly. He just needed someone a little more malleable. He needed a starved and un-loved child that just found a world where he wasn't a freak.'

'The first year, it was clear the security for the Philosopher stone wasn't made for grown-ups wizards. From here, we take the conclusion that Dumbledore wanted Harry to find the stone.'

'The second year... He probably knew what it was, but decided to do nothing except for sending a sword.'

'In the third year, we get to know Sirius Black. The supposed secret-keeper from the Potters. I think Dumbledore personally knew about it because he was the one to cast the damned spell. But, like a said in the beginning, if a sane Sirius Black was to raise Harry then Harry will be more difficult to deal with.'

'A lot of things in the book didn't make any sense whatsoever. Like the punishment for staying outside after curfew.'

'The punishment was to send 11 years old kids into the forbidden forest to search about the creature that was injuring the unicorns.'

'The forbidden forest.'

'THE FORBIDDEN.'

'11 years old.'

'It doesn't make any sense.'

'No-one decided to tell Harry a lot of things about the wizarding world, or even telling him about his parents.'

'I could probably be wrong about everything and Dumbledore had nothing to do with it. But, better be prepared and vigilant than naive and manipulable.'

'If I go there and the old man decides to send me back to the Dursleys...'

'Or if he tries something that endangers my group or me...'

'I think the elder wand will look good in my hand...'

I'm doing this cause of corona and boredom.

When I woke up I found myself cradled by a woman talking to a man she calls Nicolas she must be my mother. As she walked around rocking me I watched as who I was expecting to be my grandfather was working on chemicals. That was until I witnessed my mother kiss the old man and talking about how their son was going to be a lady killer. It was then that I realized the old man was my father.

It was peaceful with them it was months when I realized my parents was the Flamels my father was the creator of the philosopher stone of the Harry Potter world. Though I could feel that I myself was made of my own philosopher stone letting me use Full metal alchemist alchemy without a price and so much more.

5years later 

It's been 5 years sense I was reborn as Sparda Flamel and I used FMA alchemy to impress my parents which my father called true alchemy. It was then that he took me under his wing teaching me his alchemy which I turned out to be a natural in as I had all the universes knowledge as I am connected to the truth being "Father".

During this time my body instinctively was growing to its peak even without me working out physically I was the perfect specimen of human physiology. The problem was even though I had all the universes knowledge doesn't mean I have all humanities knowledge meaning I know no spells at least none made by humans only natural phenomena which I named mystery after the Fate universe. I also don't know any combat abilities like swordsmanship which I will have to fix when I'm older.


My mother was alway over protective she wouldn't let me play with swords and banned me from creating swords with alchemy. It's one of those parents she wouldn't even let me go out and play she made me only play in the back yard saying how it's dangerous and I could get kidnapped.

Father on the other hand was.... a bit insane he promoted me playing with sharp objects and even took it on himself to get me books on magic, alchemy, potion making, as well as tunes and enchanting saying how knowledgeable is power. Though potion making and alchemy books was useless as i knew them better then anyone ever could as I knew all plants and effects they had by themselves and combined.

When I became 5 years old I started looking into robotics trying to understand it as robots would be the best helpers as they don't age and are replaceable and fixable.

Time went by for the Flamel family specially for Nicolas as he was ecstatic about his sons growth even with his wife's constant worrying about how their son needed a childhood. Though Nicolas disagreed he knew first hand how dangerous this world was and with rumors of Voldemort being back when his friend Dumbledore asking to borrow his philosopher stone. Now more then eve was it important to be strong.

Dumbledore was always around and even personally taught Sparda magic under the unending nagging of Nicolas even when he said they should wait till the boy was 11.

All in all Sparda was always busy sense he became 5 years old. To understand we need to go back to his classes. Let's start with his alchemy classes with his father.

POV Nicolas Flamel (Alchemy classes)

My son is a absolute genius when I witnessed him using transfiguration without magic I was amazed it was pure science meaning anyone could do it if they got the right knowledge.

Nicolas: Sparda my son I want us to work together I shall teach you alchemy and I would like you to show me how you do your alchemy 

My son didn't speak just nodded he seemed to be a person of little words but when he spoke it was a serious matter. My boy is son great *tears of joy* (a/n great the beginning of a son-con rip Sparda you will have two parents who are son-cons ;P)

As my son explained his ability to me I realized it was alchemy on a higher stage which I named "True Alchemy " sadly unlike my son who can do it easily without any catalyst I required what he called a transmutation circle but it was still more convenient then my normal work everything was instant as long as I had everything required and the knowledge needed.....Truly fascinating.

When I started teaching alchemy to Sparda I realized he was a natural maybe even better then me. He showed a great understanding of all the inner workings of alchemy down to the little detail. It was also at this time I found out he had magic so I talked Dumbledore into teaching him in exchange that when sparda becomes 11 and goes to school Dumbledore can use the philosopher stone for his witch hunt.

POV Dumbledore (magic class)

This child is amazing and mature for his age while teaching him magic it was almost like the kid had limitless magic in him he could cast spells till he got them right without rest.  We started with basics which was mostly history,charms, and transfiguration. I even got the other professors involved all of them loved him but the one who liked him the most was actually surprisingly Snape who said the kid was a born potions master. Everyone took a shine to him even Mcgonagall wasn't nearly as uptight as she usual is, I even witnessed  her trying to cuddle the mortified boy who was saying something about him being to young to deal with milfs ....I wonder what that means (a/n look up young Maggie smith aka mcgonagalls actor)

The only real problem was Nicolas and Perenelle where fighting on which magic school to send him Nicolas wanted to send him to Hogwarts while his wife wanted the boy to go to the school they went to which was Beauxbaton (A/n looked it up both the Flamels went there) I hoped Nicolas would win this one.

After being killed by the godking Sparda formally Austin Allan Joker the unknowing son of the Devourer Joker was sent to the godking and as a apology he is given one wish and if he accepts an agreement of his Austin will get three more. Accepting this deal not knowing what it is and getting his 4 over powered wishes thinking he would be all powerful from the beginning.

Unknowingly he didn’t specify he wanted them in full power so he must train his own powers. As he was being reborn a light hit him giving him the memories of his future self fighting a monster made of black mass. After gaining these memories he realized he had one new power he didn’t understand or know only knowing it was called the forbidden true magic.

How far shall sparda go to reach his goals to be free and without worry.

HEADMASTER'S OFFICE

Dumbledore was standing in his office and trying to appease the Minister while promising both the Minister and Madam Bones that nothing like this will ever happen at Hogwarts again.

Dumbledore thought "I should not have allowed Hagrid to take Harry into the Forbidden Forest. It has led to all these problems. Now I will have to change the plans I had about Harry confronting Tom. I would have to either abort the plan or make sure that the incident remains a secret. Another dangerous incident involving Harry will make others truly believe Rita's allegations and consider removing their children from Hogwarts. 

Damn that woman. From where did she get the idea to allege such a thing. Now I have to make sure that any future incidents I use to test Harry remains a secret or else I will be forced to expel him from Hogwarts to appease others."

While Dumbledore was lost in his thoughts, Malfoy and Madam Longbottom returned to the office followed by the professors.

Malfoy "You are very fortunate Headmaster that Draco was not harmed yesterday. Now I cannot harshly punish those involved. But at the very least I will make sure that your plans of making that oaf the next Care of Magical Creatures professor after the current one retires are foiled. This incident is enough to convince the others governors that our children are not safe near him."

Madam Longbottom "I also agree that Hagrid is not suited to be a teacher. If he thinks Forbidden forest is safe for first years then I am afraid to think what dangerous creatures he will deem safe for the children in his classes.

Minerva should also be punished. The punishment I am considering for her is removing her from the Head of the House position. Neville was hurt yesterday and I heard that he was hurt during his first flying class too. She did not do her job and inform me about these incidents. After asking some other children I have come to know that she is neglecting a lot of her important duties as Head of Gryffindor house. I will not allow this to continue.

I recommend looking for a replacement for the Head of Gryffindor. During the next Governors meet, I am sure many people will agree with me on the punishment suggested after I show them my findings."

McGonagall did not look happy but she did not try to argue since she knew that due to her other posts she was not performing her duties as the Head of the House properly.

Dumbledore was also not happy but he could not do anything to save her from the punishment. McGonagall spent a lot of time doing some of his work due to him being busy with his other jobs. This led to her neglecting most of her other duties. Hagrid will also be disappointed after hearing that his dreams of teaching a class will not come true.

Suddenly the two Aurors rushed into the room and whispered something in Madam Bones's ear. After they were finished relaying the news, Madam Bones looked mad and while glaring at Dumbledore she went towards the fireplace and called for reinforcements using the Floo.

Madam Bones "You have a lot of explaining to do Headmaster. Can you explain why you have a Cerberus inside the school and why is it behind a door that is locked by only a simple locking charm that can be opened by a first year spell?"

Dumbledore paled at the revealation but did not reply. The other attendants in the room including the Minister gasped.

Madam Bones "I am calling more Aurors and people from Department of Control of Magical Creatures to take care of it. Don't dare deny having knowledge of the creature since we have many witnesses of you announcing the danger in front of the whole school during the opening feast."

She was going to continue but was interrupted when the Floo lit up and many people came through it. Some Aurors and some people from the Department of Control of Magical Creatures.

Dumbledore found his voice after seeing a lot of people in the room and said "You are mistaken, that is not a Cerberus. It is just a three headed dog and is Hagrid's pet. He has assured me that it will not harm any student. Don't harm it. If you want, I will ask Hagrid to remove it from the castle safely."

Malfoy "I have never heard of a three headed dog before. It must be a Cerberus. Kill the creature. I don't want it to be anywhere near Hogwarts where it can harm my son." 

Amelia "I agree. If it is not possible to safely subdue the creature, kill it. I am not risking the lives of others just for Hagrid to have his pet back. Also investigate why it was inside the castle in the first place. I don't think we will get a straight answer from the Headmaster. We will ask for an explanation from him when we have uncovered the whole plot ourselves."

The Aurors and the people from the Department of Control of Magical Creatures nodded and left the room. After they left, Madam Bones explained the whole situation to everyone else in the room.

Madam Longbottom "Dumbledore. Why is such a dangerous creature inside Hogwarts near the children? And are you mad? You also announced that the third floor corridor was dangerous to a crowd of curious children who would have gone there as a challenge. I think you have gone senile with old age and need to be replaced for the safety of the children."

Amelia "Professor McGonagall. As the Deputy Headmistress you must know about this. Explain to me what the creature was doing inside the school or else your punishment will increase."

Dumbledore sighed "There is no need to ask Minerva. I will explain. You see before the start of the school year, Nicholas Flamel asked my help in safeguarding his philosopher stone. The Flamels had heard rumours about a Dark wizard coming after the stone and wanted my help in finding a good place to hide it. I agreed to help them and decided to protect the stone inside Hogwarts since it is highly secure due to the wards. It is stored behind a series of traps in the third floor corridor."

McGonagall added "Albus asked all the other professors to install a series of traps in the corridor for extra protection. The three headed dog was a trap designed by Hagrid. Once you overcome that, you will have to face one trap after another until the end of the corridor."

Madam Bones "So you decided it was wise decision to house a highly dangerous artefact that is being hunted by many dark wizards inside a school full of children. I agree with Madam Longbottom, You are mad. It seems a dark wizard did manage to overcome the Hogwarts wards and is after the stone. That will explain all the attacks on Harry Potter this year."

Madam Longbottom "Poor boy. Because of your decision he had to face many life threatening situations. I want that stone out of this school by the day's end. I will bring up this issue in front of the Wizengamot after the investigation is complete. Your punishment will be decided by them since the Governors cannot decide due to severity of the issue. I will take my leave now. Amelia inform me when the investigation is concluded."

Fudge "I am going too. Madam Bones, I am giving you free reign to catch the dark wizard involved. I want him in prison and away from Hogwarts as soon as possible."

With that Madam Longbottom, Fudge and Malfoy left the school via the Floo.

Madam Bones turned towards the Professors and ordered "I want you to suspend all classes until the dark wizard is found. Send all the children to their dormitories and make sure that they stay there until the investigation is completed."

Madam Bones then left to join her Aurors. Dumbledore and McGonagall decided to complete the task she had given them since she was now in control and they couldn't do anything to stop her. They called a meeting of all professors to inform them about the new development.

This is an incredible skill that can make small changes to reality itself.  It cannot take a life or restore a life, but it can do just about anything else as long as only one target is designated.  Whatever change is made becomes the truth, and it is as though it was always the truth.  No one other then the user of the skill is aware of the skill or the worlds state prior to its use.  It cannot be used again for 20 years after it is used.

Nemian Lion's Roar - Rank S
After use, the user's body becomes Impervious to harm from all sources for 1 minute.  This ability has a 1 hour cooldown period after use before it can be used again.  The cooldwn increases by 1 hour after each use.

Seraphim's Grace - Rank SS (Sealed)
After use, the target is healed from all damage and is restored to peak physical health.  This even has the power to resurrect the dead, provided that it is used within two weeks after the target has died.  If the target is alive when this is used then the cooldown is 12 hours, but if used to resurrect the dead then the cooldown is instead 1 year.

Hydra's Vigor - Rank SSS (Sealed)
After use, the target cannot die, no matter how much damage they take, due to the Hydra's regenerative powers.  For each minute that this effect is kept active, there is a cooldown one 1 month before it can bee used again.

Twist Fate - Rank SSSS (Sealed)
If you know the outcome of something, or can correctly guess it before it happens, the user can twist fate to change an object or an outcome to one that they desire.  This skill has a 6 month cooldown period.  This can change the result of a random event involving an object, but cannot change anything living.

The user is able to compress their magic and use it to create large blocks of Yggdrasil Heartwood from nothing.

His name is Draco Malfoy, at least it is now.  He started out as a soul before the System he possessed rebooted, apparently after suffering a critical error.  Apparently, features he had from the system were incompatible with where he was to be reincarnated, but our MC couldn't remember why.

After receiving a mysterious message through his system from a god or something, someone calling him Sun Wukong, the Monkey King, the soul who would become Draco Malfoy, was left to experiment with his Mysterious System.

Fortunately, his Newbie Pack gave him all seven Harry Potter books to help him prepare to enter his new world, and with that he was able to begin preparing for the eventual conflicts to come.

While his memories of his previous life, or perhaps lives, appear to be missing, he sometimes finds himself just understanding things mysteriously, and he's uncertain why.

He decides that after seeing all the Karma he had previously accumulated, that he must have been a good guy in his previous life or lives, so he decides to live his new life his own way and to hell with the script/story he read.

He'll rise to the top of the world, exploit every advantage his system gives him, and surpass both Moldybutt and Dumbledore!

It all began with a dark room, a hooting owl, and a letter in front of me.

The room had no features I could parse. The owl was motley brown. The letter looked handwritten in a really difficult cursive. My room was gone. My surroundings were gone. The letter itself glowed with a light of its own, and the contents seemed to shift under my sight.

The letter had also something written on its back; it was the list of provisions. Something dreadfully heavy settled at the bottom of my stomach. This couldn't be what I thought it was, could it? Perhaps an alien race had kidnapped me. It would explain the dark room. Maybe I was in a coma. That too was an acceptable solution. My surroundings shifted, the darkness leaving the place to blurs and to forms.

They took on clearer shapes a bit at the time, revealing figures moving back and forth on rails. In front of me, a luggage on wheels with my stuff rested. An owl hooted from its perch, staring right at me with an inquisitive glance. I looked around, seeing no familiar figures. There was little I could do, but swallow my nervousness and walk towards the platform I still remembered would lead on the way to Hogwarts' train.

Platform Nine and Three Quarters was hidden within a pillar, and as I walked through it, my eyes closed by reflex, I came out in a realm of robes and strange hat-wearing people. I had no cellphone in my pockets. I had no Ipod. I had a wand, actually, a shiny dark thing that was probably twelve to thirteen inches in length. It was a bit hard to hide the thing, and I could feel it poke against my sides, strapped to the left side of my chest in a wand-holder reminiscing of a revolver's holster.

There were families tearfully waving goodbye to their sons and daughters, some with more emphasis than others. I simply pulled my luggage on the train without a word.

"I am a wizard," I muttered. Then, I realized that pulling the luggage up was more of a challenge than previously thought, and the sinking feeling in my guts materialized even further.

Shit.

I was an eleven year old kid. My height was gone, my strength too, and all I had was a lousy wand and stuff I had no idea how it had made its way into my possession. This looked every bit like a coma-induced feverish dream. Perhaps I shouldn't have eaten whatever I ate the night before. What was it again? It was a pizza. No, pizzas couldn't be so evil as to give me such vivid and vibrant nightmares.

Thus, I climbed on while quietly cursing my weak self. I settled in the first carriage I could find, since I needed more than one trip to empty the trolley on which my luggage rested. By the time I was done, I sighed and slumped against the creaking armchair.

I yawned, not out of tiredness, but out of nervousness. There had to be a mistake. I couldn't be a wizard. The wand I pulled out from my wand holster felt warm in my hand, my children finger looked so eerie compared to what I was used to. Still, as I swished the wand back and forth, I expected something to happen. Well, no, I expected nothing to happen. I was rewarded with some sparks instead. They fluttered about, wheezing out of the tip of my wand in a myriad of pretty colors. I offhandedly mused about the colors of the sparks, watching them range from crimson to green, then through blue, violet, mauve and as I thought about it, they changed into yellow too.

There was no muscle-pulling involved, no strange back-end feeling. It was bizarre. I couldn't feel some kind of magical mana resource, or some form of twirling warmth in my chest. There was literally nothing telling me I was depleting mana, or that magic had a cost of some sorts. I should have felt more excited. I could do magic. At the same time, that feeling of elation was dulled by the sheer weight of the situation at hand.

What the hell was I doing in the Harry Potter world? Why was I even here? What was the point? Hell, if I had been born in the world, I could at the very least come up with some chalked up shitty explanation like parallel worlds existing; you die, you get reborn in another world. Rinse and repeat enough times, you're bound to become a genetic defect where you keep the memories of your past life.

It was a shitty explanation for something that couldn't really be explained, but it would make more sense than me appearing in a dark room in my eleven year old form. This felt like I had been placed in such a situation. Magic did it seemed the most viable answer, but if magic 'did it' then I had to ask myself why it did such a thing.

The train car's door swung open as some unknown students filtered in, and I quietly sheathed my wand once more, ashamedly looking at the window without a second thought. The students began to animatedly chat about their lessons, transfiguration with McGonagall, their hate for potions with professor Snape, the amount of work with Charms...and I couldn't help but ask.

"I'm sorry," I said, catching the trio of older students' attention, "I heard about Defense Against the Dark Art having a different professor every year...who's the one this year?"

"Ah," one of the older students said, his tie marking him as a Hufflepuff. "It's Professor Quirrell. He used to do Muggle Studies," he grinned. "He's a nice professor."

Good, then I was in the year of the lord one thousand nine hundred ninety-one. The year in which Harry Potter frequented Hogwarts. The year in which the Philosopher Stone was at Hogwarts. The year in which Voldemort was at Hogwarts.

It was going to be a nice year, as long as I kept my head low and did absolutely frigging nothing.

It eased me a bit to know that I hadn't been thrown in a random year, in a random setting, in a random parallel world.

"You're a first year, so you have it easy," the older Hufflepuff said. "There's a lot of hard work once you hit the electives," he added. "Enjoy your school life while you still can."

I will, filler-type character. I swear I will. "I'll do my best," I answered in turn. "What are the professors like?" I asked next.

It wouldn't do to grow quiet and keep my gaze centered at the sights beyond the train car's window. If I socialized, at the very least I'd be able to learn more about things, and maybe even catch stuff that I had once read, and that I didn't remember any longer. It had been years, perhaps even decades, since I had last read the books.

Still, the hours passed in relative peace. I even pulled out one of the school books to get a head start, but closed it after no more than half an hour, a dull headache from reading while in movement the main cause. With a dreary sigh, I closed my eyes and rested.

I was woken up by the rattling of the door, a blond figure popping in briefly, glancing around, and then looking at me for the briefest of instants. "I am looking for Harry Potter."

"I lack a scar on my forehead," I replied, pointing at my pristine and clear forehead. The blond sneered, and then left.

"Oh yeah, Harry Potter's supposed to be on the train!" another of the older years said with a gush to his voice. "The Boy-Who-Lived! He'll definitely be a Gryffindor." The fact the teen's tie had the colors of Gryffindor meant that his judgment was clearly biased, but it was also the truth, though he wouldn't know it.

I grew quiet, until at a certain point the older students began to shift into their robes, and I did the same with mine. "You can leave the luggage on the train," one of the older students told me, "They'll send the house elves to fetch them."

I nodded and thanked him.

Then, I stepped outside to face the chilly September month of Scotland and the cold, freezing waters of the Hogwarts' lake upon a boat.

The castle's lights in the far off distance glittered, giving it a very magical appearance.

The cold wind biting into my skin dug deep into my chest, however.

The malaise clung to me like a shroud, the stomach bottomed at my feet.

Congratulations, Shade Umbrus...
