Harry wasn't expecting Dumbledore at that exact moment. 'At such a time!' He complained loudly in his heart. It had to be that their first encounter was in the middle of rule-breaking. 

"Harry!" His mother cried, Lily's expression a mixture of worry and sternness. 

Lily was marching across the yard, more adults following behind her. Mrs. Weasely was a close second and having already grasped Ron's hand, she went after the twins. Her large and heavily pregnant belly swayed as she walked/waddled. 

'Poor Ginny,' Harry thought. 'All that stress before birth can lead to personality changes, poor sleep, and short tempers.' All of which, come to think of it, the youngest Weasely had in spades. 'Strange, I always thought it was the diary that gave her the poor sleeping habits. But, I guess it was the stress.' He harrumphed in amusement. 'I hadn't noticed the past hundred or so times, but I did this time!' 

For Harry, even a repeated life was amusing. A bit like watching a favorite movie a hundred times and noticing a detail you hadn't in the past. But, in truth, this was because he periodically forgot details. 

Souls weren't meant to house the entirety of hundreds of lifetimes. But where did the excess go? In Harry's case, his soul stored his memories and abilities. Each life was hidden behind a door with core memories for each life time, a personality, a character. 

While this kept him relatively sane, it meant that some details would often escape him. 

In one life, he forgot who Hagrid was and ended up with a terrible anxiety attack each time the half giant was mentioned. Before he met Hagrid, all his memories involving the large and friendly man were filled with shadows. In the hut with a shadow; talking to a black silhouette about the word Malfoy had used. 

It had been eye-opening to realize the limitations of his memory, his ability. Because of this strange situation, he had developed shelves for his emotions and memories. This also meant that difficult abilities could not be accessed in a body unable to house said ability. 
 
'A child simply does not have enough mass and elements to create even a miniature dragon with the conversion equivalence ratio,' he lamented.

Perched in Dumbledore's arms, Harry tried to relax. His bottom was on the man's forearm, legs gripped and held against the Supreme Mugwump's side and torso. It was a typical pose to hold a small child, and child-on-hip came naturally to Albus Dumbledore. He scooped Harry around the waist and pulled up and into his arms. One hand on his back, forearm supporting the legs and weight as he held his posture with a bent arm. Kids usually liked this hold because of the view and the sense of freedom-- the lack of weight on their torso inspiring a sort of independence. Well, as independent as a toddler less than ten stone could be. 

"Ahdgjjjkks pfffbbbttt," Harry said with great animation, his face lit up as he looked at one of the most powerful wizards alive. He then blew a raspberry, his laughter ringing immediately after. Child-Harry had much of the same inclinations and instincts as any other child his age.

Albus smiled, lines around his eyes appearing to crinkled as his eyes turned upwards in the corners with delight. Beneath his white beard, the Headmaster was smiling brilliantly. 

"Harry James Potter," Lily scolded, moving in to take her troublesome son from the elderly wizard. 

Dumbledore, resplendent in bright teal robes with exaggerated patterns and stitching of the sea life and the ocean floor, simply smiled at his former student. 

"I am afraid Harry and I are quite inseparable at this very moment, so you'll have to forgive me if I don't hand him over," Came the amused voice of Hogwarts' Headmaster.

Confusion mixed with surprise on Lily's pretty face, pinching her brows together as she assessed the situation. After a moment of scrutiny, looking over the professor and her son, her expression cleared and she laughed. 

"Yes, it would seem that you are absolutely inseparable," she agreed, poking her index finger gently against Harry's soft stomach. 

For indeed, when you looked closer, it became immediately clear what the old man meant. At that moment, Harry had two fistfuls of beard hair woven through his chubby fingers. Any attempt at removing the child from his person, without first carefully extracting his hands, would result in a great deal of pain and hair loss. 

"So it would seem," Dumbledore agreed, trying to appear and sound grave, but his eyes twinkled merrily and gave him away. "Perhaps I ought to invest in a hairnet, or consider taking up knitting. Knitting, as you know, is a great deal like braiding." 

Lily began to laugh, and James took this chance to loop around and sneak up behind Dumbledore. Harry was distracted trying to stuff as much of the white beard as he could fit in both fists, pushing it against his mouth and attempting to chew on the soft hair. 

The elder Potter was unsuccessful in his retrieval, however, and resorted in trying to pry hair out of one hand and attempting to empty the other as quickly as possible before more hair was grabbed. Needless to say, it was a daunting task with no end in sight.

"Does this happen often, Headmaster?" Lily asked politely, tone mild but filled with amused undertones.

"This particular incident? No, usually I intimidate most children. There have been the rare occasion of animals, but usually that is just Hagrid's new guests, or a young Fawkes just after a burning day." His chin was tilted down and his impossibly blue eyes peered over the rim of his gold-framed glasses at the child in his arms. "Fawkes is quite fond of using my beard as a nest, or at the very least, attempting to." 

The silence stretched and his raised eyebrows seemed to question, 'Are you nesting, young Potter?' 

Harry laughed and tried to crow like a rooster. His vocal cords weren't developed enough to perfectly mimic the call for challenge, but he put in a good effort. Only other birds would notice his failure to enunciate. 'Ah, but I am not a bird either,' The toddler mused with disappointment, glancing down.

Lily dived in while he was distracted, taking hold of one hand while James continued with the other. Soon Lily was pulling Harry to her chest and cooing at her son. The tiny immortal gurgled happily at her, drooling and trying to teeth on a fistful of her blouse. 

"I am surprised you could make it Headmaster, but delighted," the young redhead told the elder wizard, a dimple appearing in her left cheek when she smiled. 

Dumbledore smiled back, coaxed by the dimples appearance; such witches like Lily Potter were rare. She was simply magical in every way.

Moments after, reflecting on why he was present, his face slackened and he looked serious. 

"I wish I were visiting for the sake of a good game of pinata, Mrs. Potter, but I am afraid I come with vital news," He said with a tone filled with reverence.

Green eyes widened and the young mother held her child closer, eyes flickering nervously about the yard. 

"Augusta!" She called out, her voice sounding faint at first, but rising strongly at the end. 

Neville's grandmother, vulture hat and all, stepped from the living room back door and quickly crossed the yard. 

"Yes, Miss Lily?" 

Her tone was polite and held an under-note of respect. Harry was surprised and turned his attention to the woman. Matriarch Longbottom liked his mother?!

"Bring Harry, Neville, Ron, and the twins into the house if you would, dear? Headmaster Dumbledore... the other parents, and I, we... need to assemble the pinata and string it up." Her eyes were fixed on the old white wizard as she spoke. "We'll be just a moment." 

Augusta Longbottom frowned, but she lead the children back into the cottage, not once looking behind her. When the patio door closed and the garden was quiet, all attention turned to the Leader of the Order of the Phoenix. 

Waving a hand, he indicated to James, Sirius, Frank, and Remus, who all began to layer privacy and silencing spells in a perimeter around the yard. When the four had finished, everyone turned their attention back to the eldest in their midst. 

"We have earned some important information, but also terribly dangerous," He began. "On the one hand, this could mean our last hope, an option to end this war," Dumbledore continued, ignoring the shocked gasps that followed this statement. "Or, it could very well be our final stand." 

His eyes lowered and he took a deep breath, smoothing down his beard in a stroking motion. "The war will end, one way or another, and soon." 

Everyone looked at each other, expressions of excitement mingled with anxiety and therefore strangled any hope that tried to rise within them. Could this really be it? This didn't seem possible. 

Finally, it was James who spoke. 

"What makes you so sure, Professor?" 

Frank decided to add his own as he spoke up, "Yes, what sort of news could be so reliable, so sure?" 

They often heard fake news or rumors with the war, but how could any of them be certain something could completely end it?

"There was a prophecy," Albus began, only to be interrupted rudely. 

Sirius was scoffing and letting out harsh laughter that rang like a dog's bark out into the night. "A prophecy?! Since when has there been a Seer of any clout in England?! There hasn't been a true Seer in these parts for a good two hundred years. All the old family bloodlines died out-- like most cold, dead, heartless, and shriveled pureblood line abilities." He snorted loudly, shaking his head, chin down. "Nah, that's just more smoke up our arses from the damned wang-sucking-corpses!" 

"Sirius!" Mrs. Weasely scolded, nudging him with her palm. Although she personally agreed, she didn't appreciate his language. 

Dumbledore nodded. "Yes, I thought so, too. However," he paused. "However, the woman who made the prophecy is the granddaughter of a powerful and famous prophetess. One of the last true line abilities relating to the Sight." 

Alice gripped her husband's sleeve, making a determined expression. "Do you trust this prophecy, Headmaster? Because in the end, that's what's important." 

Dumbledore slowly nodded. "Having born witness to the prophecy being made in my presence, I can almost guarantee that this information could turn the tides of the war with the Dark." 

Mrs. Weasely gasped, and Lily hugged her arms around her large middle, a protective stance over the unborn. Seeing this, James wrapped his arms around Lily and pulled her against his chest.

"I am assuming this has something to do with us, considering your appearance today," James said, fishing for control of this situation. 

Folding his hands and tucking them into his long robe sleeves, Dumbledore admired the garden, not looking at anyone present. After a moment, he spoke.

"Indeed, it does or I would hesitate to interrupt today's festivities," He agreed, stepping forward and leaning down to smell the petals of some blue hydrangea that grew abundantly.

"And?" Sirius prompted, growing impatient. His posture and stance screamed agitation and Remus laid a hand soothingly on his shoulder. 

"And," Dumbledore continued, taking his time. "I am afraid the prophecy regards a child." 

The sudden chill and silence that overtook the small cluster of magic users felt heavy like a weight. A sudden thickness seemed to choke and stifle the air, weighing down each breath, sitting like stones in their chest as they filled their lungs. 

"The one with the power to vanquish the Dark Lord approaches. Born to those that have thrice defied him, born as the seventh month dies--" 

Dumbledore's speech was interrupted by a stifled scream. "Oh thank Merlin, it's not my Ronnie or my baby," Molly Weasely whispered, hand over her mouth. "What a... terrible thing to say, I am so sorry. I meant no harmless." 

Dumbledore nodded and Alice put a gentle hand on the other woman's shoulder in understanding. 

Looking across to ensure he had their attention, Dumbledore continued. 

"And the Dark Lord shall mark him as his equal, and he shall have power the Dark Lord knows not... and either must die at the hand of the other, for neither can live while the other survives... The one with the power to vanquish the Dark Lord will be born as the seventh month dies...." 

Remus frowned. "So... so thrice... defied the Dark Lord three times..." He paused. "The seventh month dies... July is the seventh month, unless you're reconfiguring the months without the addition of Julius, Augustus--" 

"Remus!" Sirius bumped shoulders with his school friend. "Ease up."

"So that's it, then," Lily whispered, face rather pale. "It's either us or the Longbottoms... Rather, it's... it's Neville or Harry." 

Everyone stood in confusion and shock, trying to absorb the news. 

Albus nodded. "Yes, I am afraid one of those boys will either save us or be destined to die trying." 

Sirius looked angry and scared, beginning to pace with obvious and jittery movements. 

Frank spoke after another stretch of silence. "How will we know?" 

"Which child?" Dumbledore asked, pulling out a small lemon candy from the confines of his robe sleeves. Popping the treat into his mouth he smiled placidly, but his eyes had yet to relight their usual spark. 

"I am afraid we will only know after the Dark Lord makes his move," He admitted, sounding a bit wistful and grave. "Until that man makes an attempt and marks one of the boys-- figuratively or literally, we have no way of truly knowing." 

"What do we do?" 

"Where should we go?" 

"We can't just wait--" 

"I don't feel comfortable letting two children play bait to some sort of--"

"What are our options?" 

And finally.

"What do you suggest?" 

Albus looked up at the setting summer sun. "Born as the seventh month dies," he repeated, his eyes showing a great distance as he mused to himself. 

Slowly, the white-bearded man turned to both families. 

"How familiar are you with the effects and ability of the Fidelius Charm?"

Harry Potter is the Master of Death. Unable to pass on after death, he is instead reincarnated eight hundred and ninety-one times. It turns out, dying is the easier part. Living? That's the hard bit.

Chapter 27

The Ball Announcement

Draco's POV

My jaw dropped when I saw the dragon. This was lunacy! I watched each champion battle their dragon. Then, Potter came out. I immediately looked at Lily. Lovegood was with her. Her eyes were wide with fear and worry. I wanted to be with her, too hold her. But there was a chance that would distract Potter and he needed to stay focused. It was a Hungarian Horntail. Of course he would get one of the worst ones.

"Accio Firebolt!"

I smirked.

"Smart move."

His broom came flying to him and he just managed to get away as the dragon blew fire at him. The chain holding the beast broke and it chased Potter towards the school, destroying the teacher's stand as it did. Of course I laughed at that. Everyone was looking at the castle, some even holding their breath. We heard the dragon roar and then there was a dead silence.

Lily's POV

It seemed as though we were waiting for hours. The Harry came flying back. Everyone cheered, myself being the loudest. At least I thought so. He flew forward and grabbed the egg.

"YES!" I screamed.

Luna was smiling and clapping. I hugged her tightly before going back to clapping.

There was a small party in the common room that night. The egg was passed around. Seamus kissed it before handing it to Harry, which I thought was weird.

"Go on Harry. What's the clue?" he asked.

"Who wants me to open it? You want me to open it?"

I smiled and shook my head. He opened it and an earsplitting noise came out.

"Close it! Close it!"

He closed it and I uncovered my ears.

"What the bloody hell was that?"

Ron was standing in the doorway.

"Alright folks, back to your knitting." Fred said.

I smiled, happy that they were making up.

"Boys."

I looked at Hermione and nodded.

"Oi, Lily."

Ron came up to me.

"You know your dad got hit in the head and cut by a piece of wood, right?"

My eyes widened and I ran out of the common room.

Harry's POV

Lily bolted before anyone could say or do anything.

"She really does love him. Hey, he got her a Firebolt."

I shook my head.

"No, that has nothing to do with it. He loves her unconditionally. He takes care of her and protects her."

"Still hard to see Snape as a parent figure."

I nodded in agreement.

Lily's POV

I ran down to the dungeons as fast as I could. I threw the door open and dad jumped a nit. The was a cut on his forehead. I walked forward.

"Daddy are you alright? Ron told me what happened?"

"Of course I'm alright. You don't to worry about me."

I smiled softly.

"You're my father, I'll always worry about your wellbeing."

He smirked.

"I heard about what happened with Rita Skeeter."

I smiled proudly.

"I proudly admit what I did."

"Normally I would scold you, but I will let this one guy. That woman truly is a nuisance."

I laughed a bit.

"A weasel stole her quill. I guess the animal kingdom is annoyed by her too."

He chuckled with a smirk.

"Yes, the 'animal' kingdom."

I was very careful not give any sort of reaction.

"I'm just glad the dragon didn't hit you with its claws or something. This tournament is insanity! Why are they allowing this?"

He sighed and shook his head.

"I don't know, but I agree with you."

"I still think Moody has something to do with this."

He let out a frustrated sigh.

"Lillian…"

"What? You know as well as I do that he's a complete nutter. Please daddy, I need you to trust me on this one."

"I always trust you Lily. But Alastor Moody is an auror, what would he have to gain from hurting your brother?"

"I don't know. But I just have this feeling."

He took my hands.

"Lily, I know telling you to stop worrying won't work. Try to think of something else and let me deal with this. Think about the Yule Ball."

"Yule Ball?"

He smiled a bit.

"It's a dance and a tradition of the tournament."

I smiled, excited by the news.

"And I'm sure that Draco will ask you to go with him. And I will be watching."

I laughed a little. I hugged my father tightly.

"Please don't let Harry be left alone with Moody. Please."

"I'll ty, that's all I can promise."

"That's good enough for me. I love you daddy."

"And I you. Now get back to your dormitory. It's late and you to go to sleep."

I nodded.

"Good night daddy."

"Sleep well."

I smiled and went back to Gryffindor tower.

Draco's POV

A few days later, Snape had us all gathered in a large room.

"Now, with the Triwizard Tournament comes the Yule Ball. A dance."

My eyes widened and everyone started to whisper. Snape looked directly at me.

"How many of you know how to dance?"

A few girls raised their hands.

"As I thought. I've brought someone who will help me show you. Lillian?"

I smiled when Lily came out.

"Now I need a boy up here."

I jumped up before anyone else could.

"I thought it might be you, Mr. Malfoy. Keep your hands where I can see them. Lillian you know what to do."

She nodded and placed my hand on her. She smiled at me.

"Alright, follow my lead. At least until you get the hang of it."

"I suppose now is a good time to ask if you'd attend the ball with me, Miss Snape."

She smiled and laughed a bit.

"I would be delighted, Mr. Malfoy."

I smiled and music started to play. I followed Lily and soon, she was following me. I smiled, proud of myself.

"Everyone stand and find a partner. No, Parkinson you will not interrupt Mr. Malfoy."

Lily smirked and kept dancing.

Lily's POV

After I'd shown the Slytherin's how to dance I went down to lunch. A boy named Nigel, brought a large parcel to Ron.

"Parcel for you Mr. Weasley."

"Ah, thank you Nigel."

Nigel stood there, staring at Harry.

"Later Nigel, later."

He left and we all looked at Ron.

"I told him I'd get him Harry's autograph."

I held back my laugh and Harry just smirked.

"Oh look mum sent me something."

He pulled out a hideous looking robe.

"Mum sent me a dress?"

"Well it does match your eyes. Is there a bonnet?"

I reached in and pulled one out.

"A-ha!"

"Ginny these must be for you."

Ginny took one look at it and shook her head.

"I'm not wearing that, it's ghastly."

Hermione and I were laughing.

"They're not for Ginny, they're for you!" Hermione said.

"Dress robes." I said.

"Dress robes? For what?"

"The Yule Ball." I told him.

He looked so confused and so did Harry.

Harry's POV

The second she mentioned the word 'ball' I knew who she would be going with. It made my blood boil. McGonagall had us all gather in a large room. Filch was there and trying to fix a music horn.

"The Yule Ball has been a tradition of the Triwizard Tournament since its inception. On Christmas eve night, we and our guests gather in the great hall for well manner frivolity. As representatives of the host school I expect you all to put your best foot forward. And I mean this literally as the Yule Ball is first and foremost… a dance."

Most of the boys groaned, but the girls seemed rather excited.

"Silence. The house of Godrick Gryffindor has commanded the respect of the wizard world for nearly ten centuries. I will not have you in the course of a single evening besmirching that name by behaving like a babbling, bumbling band of baboons."

I smirked and looked at Fred and George. They were trying to say it faster,

"Now to dance is to let the body breathe. Inside every girl a secret swan slumbers longing to burst forth and take flight."

I saw Ron whisper something to Seamus and I rolled my eyes.

"Inside every boy a lordly lion prepared to prance. Mr. Weasley? Will you join me please?"

I slowly smiled and Ron stood up.

"Now, place your right hand on my waist."

"Where?"

"My waist."

Harry and I looked at each other. He wiggled his brows and I coughed to hide my laughter.

"Everybody come together. Boys on your feet."

I smirked and walked up to Harry.

"Might have a dance? Dear brother."

He smirked and stood up. He was a pretty fast learner when it came to dancing.

"You and I should go to the ball. You know? Legendary Potter twins? Even if you call yourself Snape."

I smiled a bit.

"Draco already asked me to go with him, Harry."

"What?!"

"Dad asked me to help him teach the Slytherins how to dance."

I could see the anger in his eyes. I sighed.

"Harry please don't start."

"You know I hate the guy."

"Yea I know. But I don't. So please, for my sake, try and be civil."

He gave me a frustrated look.

"With dad gone, it's my job to look out for you. How many times do I have to tell you he's no good?"

I narrowed my eyes slightly.

"I have a dad. And while I'm grateful that you're looking out for me, you're starting to get on my nerves. I can take care of myself, or do you not remember the 'dueling club'?"

Harry's POV

That was an amusing memory.

"Let's have a volunteer pair. Potter! Weasely!"

"Weasley's wand causes devastation with the simplest spells. We'll be sending Potter to the hospital wing in a matchbox. Might make my own suggestion? My daughter, perhaps."

Snape looked at Lily and pulled her up.

"Might not be fair now." Lockhart said.

Snape raised his brows.

"Oh?"

"This is Harry Potter!"

Snape smirked and put his hands on Lily's shoulders.

"I assure you that my child is more than capable of handling Mr. Potter. Lily."

Lily smiled and took a step forward.

"Good luck, Potter." Lockhart said.

"Thank you, sir."

Snape whispered something to Lily and she nodded. She walked forward and we faced each other.

"Try and take it easy." She teased.

I laughed a bit and we bowed. We walked back and when I turned her wand was raised.

"One, two, three!"

"Expelliarmus!"

I flew backwards but quickly got up. I fired back at her.

"Protego!"

Once more I was knocked backwards, but that was a useful spell. She looked at me and I nodded quickly. She fired a spell and I used the Protego spell. She fell back and Snape quickly helped her up. She smiled and nodded. Of course, that was the only hit I got on her.

She really had shown me a thing or two.

"Just be careful." I said.

She smiled and hugged me tightly.

Epilogue

Harry looked up from his breakfast when the morning post arrived. His dining companions looked up as well, Draco's gleeful anticipation an almost direct counterpoint to Connor's depressed resignation.

The blond had insisted on staying the night at Potter Manor so that he could be there when Harry got his Hogwarts letter, and had gleefully joined Connor in jumping on Harry's bed to a loud chorus of Happy Birthday as a wakeup call that had Harry moaning and swearing vengeance for being dragged awake at five am.

Quickly sorting through the correspondence and putting the business reports aside for his Smith golem to deal with later, he eyed the letter addressed to him in looping green calligraphy. Turning it over, he broke the seal and flipped the parchment open with a negligent snap of his wrist.

"Dear Mr Potter," he mocked in a pompous tone. "We are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted at Hogwarts School of Bitchcraft and Wankery." Harry read aloud. Skimming the rest of the contents quickly, he pursed his lips, mentally toying with the patterns and trying to decide how he wanted to go about things, given Dumbledore's unhealthy focus on his life.

His thoughts were interrupted as a truly vicious looking Great Horned Owl dropped unexpectedly onto the table in front of him.

Sergei checked for unfriendly spells, removing the letter once it was cleared and handing it to Harry.

The boy opened it, finding himself curious about what could be so important as to warrant such a terrifying feathered guardian. His eyebrows crept upwards as he read, gleeful incredulity making its way across his face.

Clearing his throat, despite already having everyone's full attention, he leaned back slightly in his high backed dining chair.

"Well now, that's interesting. Have any of you heard of a Nicholas Flamel?"

"Hey, guys look like our Gryffindor house have 40 more points added. Has anyone heard who gained those points to the house? We should at least congratulate them after all 40 points are a large sum to even overall points." Said Percy with a sincere smile on his face.

"Huh? Then you should thank Edward and Hermione. Edward got 30 points, while hermione got 10 points in transfiguration class, for their excellent performance from Professor McGonagall. She was even smiled so brightly and....."

As Ron described, all the house members thanked both Edward and hermione for their contribution to the house.

Later they straight out went for their dorm, like yesterday Edward first instructed the trio with some ideas on how to create a formation, patterns, and release of magic. Later he also practiced with the spells, he selected.

After doing his practice, he again started concentrating on formations for a new spell that he wanted to create.

The next day, early in the morning after they did their routine exercises. Edward simply sat on the couch and took out his wand before saying,

"Invenireo"

After saying that spell, he found out that from all the products that he induced his magical energy in different classes. The only magical energy that responded to him is from the last class and that too is fluctuating weekly.

After that, hermione again took the lead for them. After reaching the professor McGonagall's class, Edward checked the needle that he stuck on the bench.

The needle is there, but the magical energy he induces is completely dissipated to its surroundings.
Seeing this, he got a little bit of headache at first. But suddenly, he was overjoyed by something he remembered.

From his grandfather collection, he has seen a charm that let anything to stick permanently to another thing indefinitely. Unless there is an external force that will forcefully separate them.

Later, in all classes, Edward found the same problem.

Coming to the house, the first thing Edward did was checking that permanent sticking charm.

A charm that can stick anything permanently with all other things indefinitely.

A week has already gone by since they came to Hogwarts.

"Hahaha! Today I will take the lead. All you have to do is follow me from now on." Edward said that much enthusiasm. He finally got the chance to get back his pride.

He has been researching his new spell for the past week. It took three days for him to learn permanent sticking charm, after learning that charm, he simply used that to stick magical energy permanently to the objects he placed in all classes.

"D-did you complete that charm for real? You have only been researching for one week right?"
Asked harry with surprised and doubted voice.

Hermione and Ron also looked at him curiously, but they didn't doubt him that much. Because they knew, that he created a medium grade spell in two months and the spell he is researching right now will fall under the categories of one of the lowest grade possible spells. One week is reasonable if it considered according to Edwards standards.

"I have finally completed that dumb spell!! I thought it will only take me 2 or 3 days at most. But the magic energy I have placed on objects started dissipating by the morning. So, I have to learn another charm, permanent sticking charm, it wasted three days worth of time. Now, if I were to use the spell that I created, the magical energy that I placed in the objects will respond to me. So, that I can find my route to classes, even if were to close my eyes."

Saying that he indicated to the three of them to follow him. 

"Invenireo"

Hearing that spell, all three of them surprised and at the same time followed Edward.

"This Charm will only work on yourself, it can't be used on others. If you want to use it, you will have to use your magical energy on objects that you have placed on the location you want to go to. Let me say, it's like you are finding yourself. It will only respond to your type of magical energy. Enough of that, I think today's classes include defense against dark arts and potions right? Let us go, I have even placed some objects with my induced magical energy near those classes."

The trio nodded their heads and simply followed Edward without any inconvenience.

The first class is still professor McGonagall's, where they practiced with transfiguration magic. The next class is the potions class.

At the start-of-term banquet, Harry had gotten the idea that Professor Snape disliked him. By the end of the first Potions lesson, he knew he'd been wrong. Snape didn't dislike Harry -- he hated him. 

Potions lessons took place down in one of the dungeons. It was colder here than up in the main castle and would have been quite creepy enough without the pickled animals floating in glass jars all around the walls. 

Snape, like Flitwick, started the class by taking the roll call, and like Flitwick, he paused at Harry's name. 

"Ah, Yes," he said softly, "Harry Potter. Our new -- celebrity. "

Draco Malfoy and his friends Crabbe and Goyle sniggered behind their hands. Snape finished calling the names and looked up at the class. His eyes were black like Hagrid's, but they had none of Hagrid's warmth. They were cold and empty and made you think of dark tunnels. 

"You are here to learn the subtle science and exact art of potion-making," he began. He spoke in barely more than a whisper, but they caught every word -- like Professor McGonagall, Snape had the gift of keeping a class silent without effort. "As there is little foolish wand-waving here, many of you will hardly believe this is magic. I don't expect you will understand the beauty of the softly simmering cauldron with its shimmering fumes, the delicate power of liquids that creep through human veins, bewitching the mind, ensnaring the senses. . . I can teach you how to bottle fame, brew glory, and even stopper death -- if you aren't as big a bunch of dunderheads as I usually have to teach. "

Hearing this, Edward raised his eyebrows and looked at Snape with a weird glint in his eyes.

"If this dumb fellow can develop such potions, then what about alchemy masters, grandmasters, emperors and so on can do? Why did this fellow turn out to be good in the future."

Edward started contemplating the plot of harry potter, where snape helped harry, even though he hated Harry and his father.

More silence followed this little speech. Harry and Ron exchanged looks with raised eyebrows. Hermione Granger was on the edge of her seat and looked desperate to start proving that she wasn't a dunderhead.

"Potter!" said Snape suddenly. "What would I get if I added the powdered root of asphodel to an infusion of wormwood?"

Powdered root of what to an infusion of what? Harry glanced at Ron, who looked as stumped as he was; Hermione's hand had shot into the air. 

"I don't know, sir," said Harry. 

Snape's lips curled into a sneer. 

"Tut, tut -- fame isn't everything."

He ignored Hermione's hand. 

"Let's try again. Potter, where would you look if I told you to find me a bezoar?"

Hermione stretched her hand as high into the air as it would go without her leaving her seat, but Harry didn't have the faintest idea what a bezoar was. He tried not to look at Malfoy, Crabbe, and Goyle, who were shaking with laughter. 

Looking at Hermione's cute actions, Edward couldn't help but find it's a feast for his eyes.

I don't know," said Harry quietly. "I think Hermione does, though, why don't you try her?"

A few people laughed; Harry caught Seamus's eye, and Seamus winked. Snape, however, was not pleased. 

"Sit down," he snapped at Hermione. "For your information, Potter, asphodel, and wormwood make a sleeping potion so powerful it is known as the Draught of Living Death. A bezoar is a stone taken from the stomach of a goat and it will save you from most poisons. As for monkshood and wolfsbane, they are the same plant, which also goes by the name of aconite. Well? Why aren't you all copying that down?"

Looking at hermione and harry getting scolded without doing anything, Edward is a little angry about this injustice.

"Professor Snape, looks like you are picking on harry, isn't it? How can a person like you can become a professor, who doesn't even have equality nature towards their nature? Is the ministry of magic biased towards you because you are powerful? If you have any hatred towards harry, potter, you can take it on him after you resign from your position. I think as you are in an honorable teaching field, you will need to maintain equality towards all of this, you know that right?"

Edward simply vented all pent up feelings about snape that he had accumulated in his previous life in a single breath. Even after knowing snape is a good person in the final, Edward couldn't take Snape's behavior and always marked snape as a neutral character, neither good nor bad.

"Mr. Edward, I think you don't need to teach me what to do! Even though kimsely have a lot of power, don't think I will fear them as all others without any fault on my side."

Snape said the words loudly, but anyone who heard those words knew that professor snape voice contains a bit of uneasy.

"I didn't say anything about including about my family on this professor snape. All we are going to do is consult professor Dumbledore and we will tell him that you are picking on Harry Potter. That is simpler than involving my family professor snape."

Hearing this, snape turned livid with fury and it of fright. Not even a single person beside snape understood Edward's meaning of complaining to Dumbledore.

But he understood the blatant threat from Edward. Complaining Dumbledore about is not the problem here, but who is it is more important. If it is any other student that did it, Dumbledore will just warn snape, but if it was done by Edward, Dumbledore will take it to the ministry of magic.

If the Ministry of magic heard, that this complaint came from kimsely, they will definitely take it seriously and then this matter will not end with a simple warning. But, something that will make snape suffers for entire life.

"Humph!! Mr. Potter, you should learn before coming classes from tomorrow onwards, for today, I won't cut any points from Gryffindors. But, I will definitely do so tomorrow."

Hearing this entire class was surprised and Malfoy's face turned livid from the anger, that he couldn't be any help to snape side.

Edward also understood, this is professor snape indication, that he isn't going to pick on harry.

Like this, harry was relieved from Snape's targeting. From that day onwards, the trio and Edward completed their next week without any problems.

On the 15th day night in Gryffindors boys dorm,

Edward was seen sitting on his bed doing meditation or breathing techniques. It was already close to midnight, but Edward sensed a breakthrough is going to happen in his core and started practicing without knowing the time.

By the time he opened his eyes, it's already 1 am in the next day. But there is no fatigue in Edwards's face, but the blatant joy was written on his face.

"Finally, I am now a level 2 indigo cored magician. I thought it will take one month to reach, but it looks like my speed of breathing technique is increased. Hahaha (laughed weakly, to ensure to not get cussed by others in the dorm), I can finally learn Accio and Depulso."

After fantasizing about those thoughts, where he is using Accio and Depulso on others and items. Edward slept with a happy smile on his face.

Reincarnated into the harry potter world, our mc edward kimsely slowly found out that the world he lives in is far more than meets the eye.

"I don't need to bother about dumbledore and voldemort.......actually, i didn't even care about them."

CHAPTER FIFTEEN:


Harry finished the rest of his tea with a smile. He didn't know why he got along so well with this time's Severus, but he wasn't about to question his good luck when he was just glad to have people who understood him. Remus was almost a father to Harry – even though this time's Remus was younger than his time's, the relationship felt the same – but Severus was rapidly becoming Harry's closest friend. He would never share the same relationship he had once had with Ron and Hermione, after all, and Daphne was completely out of his reach, so he was happy that Severus had accepted him so quickly. It was with a happy sigh that Harry stood, deciding that now was as good a time as any to deal with the ring Horcrux.


Heading towards the Headmaster's office, Harry hummed a little tune to himself, wishing that he didn't have a Basilisk fang in his pocket, since otherwise he could have put his hands in his pockets.


It didn't take long for him to reach the stone gargoyle guarding the Headmaster's office, and he hissed Open at it, grinning at the thought that he should let Severus know that all of Hogwarts was open to a Parselmouth. The gargoyle obediently leaped aside, and Harry thanked it as he headed up the spiral staircase. Knocking twice on the door, he pushed it open as soon as the Headmaster's voice sounded.


"Hi, Albus," Harry sang, in ridiculously high spirits. "I came to ask for the location of the first Horcrux you went after in the other timeline," he said cheerfully.


"Ah, I assume you mean the Gaunt house," Dumbledore said, rising. "We can go right away, my boy."


"Is that where the graveyard is that I was taken to in third year?" Harry asked, tipping his head in thought. There had definitely been the name 'Riddle' on several graves, but he seemed to remember a 'Gaunt' as well…


"I believe so," Dumbledore confirmed, and Harry smiled at him.


"Then I can go by myself, thanks!"


"I will accompany you," the old man said as Harry was already turning to go, and Harry turned back with a reluctant expression.


"But Albus, when you came back from there you had that cursed hand; I do think it would be better if I went alone…"


The mention of the curse seemed to give the Headmaster pause, but then he said benevolently, "Even so, I would feel better knowing that I had your back, Harry." His eyes twinkled slightly, but Harry knew that he wouldn't be able to see behind his concerned act.


"Well, if you're sure…" he said hesitantly, and at the Headmaster's smiling nod he shrugged. "Okay then; I suppose you know best. Shall we walk to the apparition point?"


"After you, my boy," Dumbledore gestured for Harry to precede him, and Harry gave him a smile before turning and heading out first. His back itched, but he knew that the rings he wore would protect him from most minor spells – including compulsions. Fortunately, Dumbledore didn't try anything, and they made meaningless small talk on their way through the castle; Harry made a comment about a certain Halloween when they passed by the bathroom where he had killed a troll in his first year, and they continued reminiscing about Harry's school years until they reached the school gates.


"Here, let me side-along apparate you," Dumbledore said, offering his arm to Harry with a twinkle.


"Sure!" Harry agreed, still resolutely holding on to the happiness of the morning as he took the Headmaster's arm.


"And off we go," the old man said, and Harry was oddly reminded of the Wizard of Oz, which he remembered reading in primary school. Then the unpleasant sensation of side-along apparition swept him away, lasting a second or two before they materialized with a muted crack.


Harry stumbled slightly, accepting Dumbledore's steadying hand and muttering, "I hate side-along apparition…"


"I quite understand," Dumbledore smiled, "it is a rather unpleasant sensation."


Straightening, Harry took a look around. "Man, this is not a pretty neighborhood. What's this place called?"


"Little Hangledon," the Headmaster replied sadly. "I believe that there to be the residence we need," he added, extending a gnarled hand to point out a rather decrepit house. Harry sighed.


"Off we go, then."


It took them very little time to find the object of their search; it practically radiated Dark magic. As soon as they had dealt with the wards surrounding the ring Harry saw a strange look enter Dumbledore's eye, and hid a smirk. Now let's see what happens…


"Let me just check that we didn't miss any," Harry murmured, raising his wand and beginning to cast a detection spell when Dumbledore reached out a trembling hand, his eyes wide. "Don't touch it!" Harry exclaimed, but he was – of course – too late, for Dumbledore had already gripped the ring and slipped it onto his hand. A flash of pure satisfaction coursed through Harry when the old man immediately cried out in pain, clutching his hand to his chest.


"Take off the ring!" Harry cried, reaching out to grip the Headmaster's shoulder. With a soft moan of pain Dumbledore pulled the ring off his finger and dropped it to the ground, where Harry promptly struck it with his Basilisk fang. A shrill scream filled the air, and Harry pulled the Headmaster away, hurriedly pocketing the fang and banishing the remains of the ring before apparating them both to Hogwarts.


"Hang in there, sir – I'll get you to Poppy and fetch Severus right away," he said, trying to hurry the old man along the path up to the school. "What were you thinking?" he asked, forcing as much worry into his voice as he could. "I had warned you about the ring – whatever made you put it on?"


"I… was a fool," the man said weakly. "Sorely tempted…"


"By what?" Harry questioned with a frown. He never had found out why the Headmaster had put on that ring.


"Youthful dreams," Dumbledore coughed. "No matter. I should have listened to you, my boy…" Harry looked at the man with a worried frown. Was that ring a special artefact? he wondered, then shook his head, supporting the old man more firmly. It hardly mattered now that it was destroyed, after all; it probably only held worth to Dumbledore and Snake Face anyhow, and if that was the case then good riddance, in his opinion.


"Just a bit further," he murmured to the man who was leaning ever more heavily on his arm. "Nearly there…"


Then they entered the Entrance Hall, and Harry promptly called for Dobby. "Tell Professor Snape to meet us in the Infirmary immediately," he instructed his house elf. "The Headmaster is injured and needs immediate attention." Dobby cast the Headmaster a wide-eyed look before popping away, leaving Harry to practically drag the old man to the Infirmary.


They had barely made it there when Severus burst into the room, a vial of green liquid in one hand and his wand in the other. Harry shot him a meaningful look when their eyes met, and called loudly for Poppy, who hurried over immediately and gasped at the sight of her employer.


"Albus!" she cried, rushing over and helping Harry to lay him on a bed. "What happened?" she asked him.


"Cursed ring," Harry replied worriedly, stepping aside to make room for Severus. "Don't know what he was thinking, putting it on…"


"Drink this for me, Albus," Severus said urgently, holding the uncorked vial to the Headmaster's lips and helping him drink it. He then took a closer look at Dumbledore's hand and hissed. "There isn't much I can do," he said lowly, waving his wand over the already black digits in complex patterns. "I can perhaps keep it contained for a time, but not for more than a month, and then it will spread rapidly." His brow was creased in concentration.


"Do what you can, Severus; any time you can give me I will take gladly," the old man said weakly, closing his eyes as the potion he had drunk took effect, knocking him out cold. Severus cast Harry an unreadable glance before turning back to the blackening hand, casting spells in an attempt to contain the curse to the hand of the wizard.


"What happened?" Poppy asked Harry, clearly feeling helpless in the face of the Dark curse.


Harry cast several privacy wards before replying, giving her a look that told her that he expected her to hide the events of the day with the spell he had taught her so recently. "We went to destroy one of Snake Face's Horcruxes, and it turned out to be a heavily protected ring. We had just taken down all the wards and I was about to cast a last detection spell when Albus reached out and before I could stop him he slipped the ring onto his finger. The curse took effect immediately." Harry shivered, but Poppy didn't recognize it for a shiver of pleasure. "As soon as he got the ring off his finger I destroyed it and brought him back to Hogwarts; I'm just sorry that I didn't stop him in time…" Harry lowered his head to hide his face, for he couldn't let her see the flash of satisfaction that spread across his face for a split-second. Let her think he was ashamed.


"You did what you could," Poppy reassured him, placing a comforting hand on his shoulder. "It's a terrible end for such a great wizard, though…"


Harry just nodded, keeping his face turned to the ground. Great wizard indeed.


"I can do no more," Severus broke the silence, standing and pocketing his wand in one smooth movement. Harry cast a look at the sleeping wizard, and felt a thrill of satisfaction when he saw that the curse had reached halfway up Dumbledore's arm. Severus clearly hadn't tried as hard this time around as he had last time; he had also said that he could only contain the curse for a month, when in the other timeline he had guaranteed Dumbledore another year of life.


Not trusting himself to say anything in Poppy's presence, Harry silently followed Severus out of the Hospital Wing and down to the Potions Master's quarters. Only when they were safely in the older man's living room did he let a huge grin spread across his face. Turning to his companion, he found a feral grin curving the thin lips.


"A drink for celebration?" the man suggested smoothly, and Harry whooped indecorously.


"Ding, dong, the bastard will die," he sang in terrible parody of The Wizard of Oz as he skipped over to the couch and sank down in his favorite spot. "Finally!"


"I cannot help but agree; we have suffered too much under that man to regret his slow and agonizing death even one bit," Severus replied, drawing out the words 'slow and agonizing' with relish as he poured two liberal glasses of brandy.


"It's at times like this that I wonder if I'm going Dark," Harry said, turning to look at his companion with the huge grin firmly in place.


"Oh, please," Severus scoffed, setting down the bottle and handing Harry one glass. "As if any Potter is capable of going Dark."


"Oh, you'd be surprised at the things this Potter can do," Harry said, his eyes darkening. The grin suddenly seemed far more dangerous than celebratory, and Severus felt a shiver run down his spine. It wasn't a shiver of fear, but Severus couldn't place the feeling…


"To an opponent skillfully brought to his knees," Severus said, raising his glass and holding Harry's gaze.


"To an opponent skillfully brought to his knees," Harry echoed, his eyes never leaving the Potions Master's as he clinked his glass against the other man's. Tipping back the glass, Harry drank the contents in one go. Severus raised his eyebrows and followed suit although the amount had been a good two fingers in a rather wide glass, exhaling heavily at the end of it.


"Well done back there, by the way," Harry said, smirking at Severus.


"I have no idea what you're talking about, Potter," Severus said blandly, accepting the glass from his guest and going to pour them another finger of brandy. Behind his back he heard Potter snort.


"What was the green potion? I do hope it's something painful," Harry said, and Severus turned back with a smirk.


"I don't know what you mean; it's a simple potion to maximize all sensations…" Harry burst into delighted laughter, and Severus couldn't contain his grin any longer.


"I've said it before, and I'll say it again – you're a genius, Severus. An evil one, to be sure, but a genius nonetheless." Harry raised his glass in a toast and said with a glint in his eye, "To a long and successful partnership." Severus echoed the toast, and they held eye contact once more as they knocked back their drinks.


Harry sighed contentedly, leaning back against the couch, his half-lidded eyes not leaving Severus' face. And then, quite suddenly, Severus realized what the shiver had been that he had felt before. Arousal.


One blink was all that outwardly betrayed his surprise, and he was thankful for all the years of strict control over his expression, for Potter noticed nothing untoward in his face. Trying to cover his realization, Severus sighed. "Unfortunately, I still have classes to teach," he drawled, and Harry laughed.


"Poor dog," he snorted. "Though I don't know who is more unfortunate – you or the students that have to brave your class now…"


"Brat," Severus said, his usual venom sadly absent, and tried not to look at the younger man's lips when they stretched into a grin.


"Yep, that's me," Harry grinned wickedly as he hoisted himself up off the couch. "But fine, since you're going to be all responsible I guess I'll get out of your hair," he said agreeably, giving the Potions Master a look over his shoulder as he walked towards the door. "Perhaps you'll join me for dinner, and we can continue our discussion from this morning?"


"Perhaps," Severus replied noncommittally, strangely wanting the man to both leave and stay.


"Great. Have fun with the – what was it – 'blistering fools'?"


"Bumbling idiots," Severus supplied drily, and Harry left with that laugh that the Potions Master was rapidly getting far too used to. As soon as the entrance had closed behind the raven-haired man Severus dropped his head into his hands and groaned. He was attracted to bloody Harry Potter-Black.

On Simon Thomas's first day of Hogwarts, he meets one Lily Potter. That was his first mistake. His second mistake was shaking her hand.
