Short Summary: A fun story of a guy who's sent to another world with servent cards

I apologise!
I apologise for the year-long break I took.
Everyone has their real-life problems, and mine is more or less the same except there had been many deaths this year...
So, I really took a long time before deciding to start writing again last month.
Did a lot of editing to the best of my ability and wrote a few chapters. I even read my own story, refreshing my memory on it to gather more details.
I wrote numerous plots before and had to discard it because I couldn't decide on one... because everything felt... a little bland. This is also the reason why I stopped writing for a long while.
Then a month ago, I noticed few people started reading my novel for no reason, and I was like, 'There are people still reading this?
Even two weeks ago, a comment was made asking me to post more chapters.
For some reason, I felt happy and decided to type again.
Anyway, thank you all for waiting, and if you all forgot the plot, I typed a quick yet simple summary which might help you remember the events of Vol 1 and Vol 2.
Now, let's move on to Vol 3!!

"Bastard, you still talk tough even now…" Seeing that Shatu still dared to yell at Yan Liqiang, Xiong Gungun kicked the Shatu into the ground.
Xiong Gungun was already very big and a few days ago, his cultivation of the Five Animal Frolics reached Horse Stance Stage. The power of his foot was very huge. With that step, it made the Shatu spit blood and writhe on the ground.
"Don't be in a rush to take his life!" Yan Liqiang smiled and stared at this person. He told Xiong Gungun to lift his feet, "Tell me, what's your name? Which tribes from the Shatu Seven Tribes are you from? I'll ask you a few questions, and if you answer them quickly, I'll give you a quick one too!"
That person clenched his teeth and glared at Yan Liqiang with animosity but said nothing.
"Haha, his mouth is quite hard to crack. Then let me guess, your merchant convoy has the flags of the Earthen Desert Tribe, the Coyote Tribe, and the Stormy River tribe. Yan Liqiang said with a smile, "So I'm guessing you're probably from the Dark Razor Tribe because when I mentioned Dark Wood Tribe, your face flashed with a sliver of disdain and enmity. You must be from the Dark Razor Tribe!"
The Shatu said nothing but his eyes moved a little.
"When I shot out the first arrow, everyone charged over towards me but you didn't. You turned to run instead which means that you are smarter than the others. You knew the power of my arrow and was scared of dying by my hands so you tried to leave the battlefield first. The Shatu people usually kill the fleeing people immediately but they didn't touch you. This means that your status is quite extraordinary in the merchant convoy. You guys came from Dark Razor Tribe so you're probably no ordinary person in the tribe!"
The Shatu person still glared at Yan Liqiang with animosity but his face showed some shock. He didn't expect Yan Liqiang to be able to determine that many things from those small clues. "So what if I am from the Dark Razor Tribe? Don't even think about trying to get anything out of my mouth."
"Really? Then what's the thing you don't want me to know the most right now?" Yan Liqiang asked.
The Shatu suddenly shut his mouth tightly and just looked at Yan Liqiang with disdain and enmity as though he was saying so what if Yan Liqiang killed him.
But even if he didn't speak of this, Yan Liqiang already knew. Yan Liqiang didn't need the Shatu person to speak — he just needed that question to kickstart some mental activity.
"I didn't expect you to be a tough guy. Very well. I love tough guys, so I'll give you a quick one!" Yan Liqiang said and then waved to Xiong Gungun who pulled out his scimitar and struck down. The Shatu was decapitated and his head rolled on the ground.
Yan Liqiang looked into the sky. In the blink of an eye, vultures started swirling up in the air glaring at the body.
In a short while, the battlefield was cleaned up. The bodies were checked to be dead and the loots were taken. Yan Liqiang led the archery academy students on their steeds and disappeared behind the valley like the wind, only leaving behind the ground littered in bodies as well as the cargo of the merchant convoy…
As soon as Yan Liqiang and the group left, another mass of five hundred people came over. They said nothing and collected all the remaining things. The Shatu merchant convoy wealth, horses, camels, and even the swords and arrows were all collected. Then, they headed towards Yingwei County…
Moments later, large crowds of vultures flew over from all directions and landed on the ground. After making sure the bodies couldn't move at all, they started feasting. Before their feasts ended, large packs of wild dogs also joined the feast.

After dark, Yan Liqiang and the students who had changed into ordinary clothes rode their rhinodrake steeds and returned to the archery academy.
They all didn't rest immediately. Instead, they started their little summary meetings in teams.
After every battle, all participants had to have a summary meeting. This was Yan Liqiang's order to go over what went well and what went poorly. Everyone also had to speak. The good habits must persist while the bad habits must be changed and not be made again.
This simple summary meeting was the key to increasing battle power and team spirit!

Based on his senses, Yan Liqiang felt his blood Qi, vital Qi, and bone marrow Qi about to reach their full state. the doors to becoming a Martial Lord were open to him. It had only been a year since he had become a Martial Grandmaster.
After leaving the secret training room, he went to the yard outside. The aromatic scent of flowers surged around while the bright moon hung high in the air. The stars were spectacular too. Yan Liqiang stood with his hands behind his back and peacefully enjoyed the night sky. Meanwhile, he was thinking about the piece of information he got from the Shatu people. The Shatu Alliance had sent an envoy to the Gulang Plains and was in Dark Razor Tribe. The envoy's mission was to resolve the conflict between Dark Razor Tribe and Dark Wood Tribe. Under the envoy's persuasion, the two tribe leaders had agreed to meet on the 15thof next month to negotiate. The location was at the Gulang Plains, White Grass Lake.
For the Shatu, it was good if Dark Razor Tribe and Dark Wood Tribe stopped their conflict, but to Yan Liqiang, this wasn't good. The more chaotic the Shatu were, the better it was for him.
Looking at the bright moon above his head, Yan Liqiang's face looked adamant…
Just when Yan Liqiang was about to go back, he suddenly had a thought and raised his head. The sound of the bird flapping wings came from above him. A grey messenger bird fell onto Yan Liqiang's arm. Yan Liqiang took out the small tube from its leg and rolled open the paper. Yan Liqiang's eyebrows immediately raised and light flashed in his eyes. Wang Jianbei was indeed about to attack the Shatu people in Pingxi City…

Apart from the treasured air, sunlight, and familial love, there is still one more thing that’s extremely valuable. It’s right beside you and can be easily obtained. But... I wonder whether you can see it?

There he was, dressed in an eye catching suit. Jay didn't wear anything like the norm. Instead of a black, grey formal tuxedo, he spotted a blue coat with red lining, matching with a patterned maroon pocket square. Finishing tit up with a pair of dark blue trousers. 

As dashing as he looks, Belle was startled by his presence. 

"Belle! Meet Jay, my nephew. Jay, be nice to Belle. Just be friends. She's not single", warned Mrs Cruz.

"Hi Belle. We meet again. Aunt Cruz, she is most definitely single and I'm here to mingle with her", Jay replies.

Mrs Cruz stared at her nephew with dagger eyes. As much as she loved her nephew, she knew when Jay set eyes on something, he is bound to go all the way out to get it. On top of that, she also loved Belle like her own daughter.

"Jay! Behave!" Mrs Cruz was red with embarrassment. 

"It's okay Mrs Cruz. He is right. I am single. Alex was cheating so I left him", Belle responded.

Mrs Cruz was horrified at Alex. She didn't know what a devil he was and how much pain he caused Belle. Belle gave a quick summary of what happened to her past relationship and how she met Alex. Mrs Cruz suddenly smiled and left Belle and Jay to catch up. She just thought what a wonderful match they both will be.

"Hey Jay. I'm sorry I left but I had to go. I hope you understand."

"Belle, let's take a walk out to the balcony. Let's have a quick chat"

It was time for the talk.

Belle once loved a guy for 7 years but he cheated on her. Will she ever able to love again?

Jay, a billion dollar businessman has his eyes set on Belle. Tries numerous times to woo Belle but there are always obstacles.

Kelly's P.O.V

          The weather was ever changing and currently, I feel a storm heading my way. As I was standing at the balcony, I got back into the living area of the private apartment especially for Kaylin and me when we are completing missions. It is considered a special privilege for being quick and efficient. The apartment isn't considered really lavish or grand, it's simple and has 4 rooms, 1 balcony, 1 kitchen, and 2 washrooms. The only places decorated in the house is the living area and Kaylin's room, my room is mainly filled with books and the only 'decoration' will be my pastel blue ceiling and pastel pink walls. I went to the kitchen to make myself some hot chocolate.

          "Lin do you want some hot cocoa?" I called out mindlessly only to be met with deafening silence, that was when I was reminded of the item that father wanted Kaylin to deliver it back to him. This has never appended before as he always has a delivery guy for such small issues furthermore Kaylin and I have never been away from each other for such a long period ever since that incident with Emily happened. My mood was comparable with the storm outside but all I could do is to do whatever mission that was given to me first and simply wait for Kaylin's return. 

          While I was sipping on hot cocoa while watching the daily news on the 21" plasma tv, my phone started ringing. . . I picked up the phone cautiously as not many people know my personal phone number.

          "We have your sister in our hands."

          Once I heard that I felt my blood froze and my mind was in chaos. I regained my composure bit by bit trying to calm myself down to deal with the issue on hand, Kaylin might not be very strong in hand to hand combat but she is still a trained assassin, it isn't that easy to catch her. 

          "Who are you and what do you want." My voice was as cold as the northern wind.

          "You do not need to know of my identity. If you want to see your sister alive, I want you to kill a guy for me. A file of information of the guy has been delivered to your mailbox, you can go have a look at it. I expect him dead by the end of next week or you can say bye to your beloved sister. Oh and if you do not believe that your sister is on our hand, I did include some delightful photos of her in the file as well and some personal items of hers. Enjoy." The line went dead right after he said that.

          I was never a person who has a good temper so after receiving such news, I smashed my phone mercilessly against the ground. If not for the fact he mentioned that there was evidence that Kaylin is in his hands I would not have believed him. . . Just to make sure I rushed down to the letterbox and took whatever letters were in it. Among all the junk mail a bright yellow letter caught my attention, it was about the size of an A4 paper and with my sensitive nose, I identified the scent as the shampoo normally used by Kaylin. I ripped open the letter and a bunch of photos along with a file dropped out, as I picked it up and saw the content, my fist tightened subconsciously and crushed the photos. To whichever bastard that hurt Kaylin, I will make sure they are buried 6 feet under after getting tortured by me personally.

Alvin's P.O.V

          After reaching the pack house I ran to my father's office as that is the place where all the important pieces of information are stored. All that was going through my head is that Emily might be in some sort of danger. 

          "Hey, Al how was your. . . " Ricky tried asking me a question but I simply have no time for him and ran past him ignoring him. Once I've reached the office, I rummaged through all the cabinets and bookshelves trying to find related information about the person staying in the mansion but as much as I try, there was simply nothing related about the mystery person at all. There was only 1 last place left to find, the safe box that contained all the worst enemies of our pack, my heart was pounding hard against my chest while my breathing turned uneven, I really hope I wouldn't find any information in that safe box as it will mean that Emily is in grave danger. 

          Knowing my dad, I keyed in my parents anniversary date and there was a soft beep and the green led indicating light lit up, with that I pulled open the safe door looking at the stack of information laying inside. I cautiously reached in and took out the stack of information and slowly browse through it. It mainly contained information of notorious hunters, witches or even the worse of the worst, Vampires. . .

          The first few pages I've flipped to are mostly about hunters and what are the things they did before or packs they've destroyed, but nothing about the mansion Emily is staying in so I assume the hunters are out of the question. Several witches and wizards were on the list but similar to the hunters' nothing about the mansion. . . That was until the last page of the witches information list.

Summary: Extremely dangerous, connections with the people staying at the mansion in the photo down below.

          There wasn't an address but the photo of the mansion placed at the bottom is exactly the one that Emily is living in. It seems like we got our culprit, let's go pay this witch a visit and see what other information I can dig out from her. I ignored the warnings given in the summary and placed everything back into the safe after snapping a quick photo of the information regarding the witch on my cellphone.

Ryder: Who, who, oh wait, let me guess, is it Santa?

Alvin: No! Santa ain't real, now go get ready, meet y'all at the garage in 15 minutes. 

Ryder: Santa is real! But fine, I will go call Ricky and prepare.

          I sure hope that this witch we are going to look for holds the answer to my questions or she will be in for a treat.

Emily is a trained assassin, her family have been killed when she was young and she was being brought up by the Chessity family, given a mission by her 'father' she had no choice but to accept and complete the mission but, what happens when the mission she is given is mouth-watering hot and can easily out smart her? She had no idea what awaits her!

 Alvin, the next alpha in line, he is smart and charming, the type of guy all girls want and he knows it. He always gets what he wants and he is possessive but what happens when someone actually says no to him? Does he know what's installed for him? Why don't you read to find out?

Zheng Zha (Zheng) always felt that he was dead in reality. Go to work, come home, eat meals, go to bed and wake up; he didn’t know where the meaning of his life lay. It was definitely not in that face of his fat supervisor, not in that white collar woman’s body that he met in the bar, and not in this steel and concrete forest – the modern city.

Zheng felt he was rotting. Going to rot from the age of 24 til the end of his life, then become a part of the earth and leave behind a name. No, not even a name, since no one would remember him. No one would remember a little white collar. Whether he lived as a truly graceful person or just pretended to be one, he was just a tiny piece of this world.

He wanted to change something. He wanted to have his meaning.

‘Want to know the meaning of life? Want to live… a real life?’

When he turned on his computer at work today, a message popped up. This was obviously some newbie hacker seeking attention. It would force you to download a virus, whichever option you choose. Zheng laughed at it and was about to close it. Yet, his heart skipped a beat when his hand touched the mouse. He paused.

‘Want to know the meaning of life? Want to live… a real life?’

Zheng felt a little lost. An indescribable force attracted him to put his finger on the mouse. Then he clicked on the YES button and lost consciousness.

Cold, shaking…

The moment he woke up, Zheng jumped up from the ground. He looked around in panic. The disparity of the vision of his office and the current environment caused a chaos in his head, but after a few seconds he woke up from the confusion.

“Not bad, you have the best quality of the bunch this time.” A cold voice said.

Zheng turned his head around and saw a black haired guy sneering at him. This person was around 24 or 25, had a very common face, but the few scars on his face made him looked horrifying.

Black haired guy held a cigarette in his hand and took a deep smoke. His sight then looked past Zheng. That was when Zheng realized there were five people lying beside him. Three men and two women. Other than that, there were over ten westerners in this concealed room.

This was the compartment of a train and the train was moving very fast. The feelings of coldness and shaking were coming from the train.

“Where is this place? Who are you? Why am I here?”, Zheng asked these people. Furthermore, due to the presence of westerners, he repeated it in English.

The westerners looked at him for a moment then turned their heads away. Only the black haired guy said to him, “Think carefully, it should have inserted everything into your head.”

Think carefully? Zheng tried to recall everything. He only remembered when he saw the pop-up on the screen ‘Want to know the meaning of life? Want to live… a real life?’, and clicked YES, before he fell unconscious.

Wait… Zheng felt there was something in his head, something about survival and life.

This was a game. Whoever created this game was not known. Maybe it was God, maybe it was the Devil, or maybe they were aliens or humans from the future. Now he had became a player of this game, or maybe part of this game.

A game that brought together those who were lost in life but have yet to become a rotten person. When they chose this game they would be transported to various scenes in horror movies.

“It is Resident Evil 1 this time.[1] Your luck isn’t bad, newbies. Getting such an easy horror movie on the first time. Even when you die it will be an easy death.” The black haired guy took his last smoke then crushed the cigarette in his hand.

“Are you saying only our consciousness came inside the computer? Just like in novels? And when we complete this game our consciousness will go back to our bodies?” A chubby dude next to Zheng asked.

Black Haired took out a gun, a desert eagle. While handling the gun he said, “I don’t know if it’s consciousness or not, but you will feel pain, you will get injured, and you will die. And you were wrong, when you finish this movie, you will go to the next one. Maybe you have seen that movie or maybe not. Every time, God will bring in new members to replace those that died in the last movie. Every movie consists of seven to twenty people. In other words this is a very easy movie, we only have seven people here.”

Chubby Dude said with a sneer, “How do you know those who died didn’t go back to their body? Perhaps they chose to die willingly.”

Black Haired raised his head suddenly, as though he had became a panther in this moment. He bent his knees and in a split second he’s already on top of the chubby dude. His desert eagle stuffed inside the chubby dude’s mouth.

“Then would you want to try and die? Can you imagine that unending terror? I lived through three movies. The first one was Nightmare on Elm Street 1.[2] There were 15 newbies in that movie and two experienced survivors. But do you want to know the ending? They all died in their dreams. Me and another person were the only ones that survived. Do you want to know how it feels to get killed by a stupid dream? Imagine everything around you becomes slithering rotten meat. You watch as a pair of scissors slowly cut through every bit of your body in a gruesome factory. Can you imagine the pain? You piece of shit! Do you want to die?”

Black Haired was shouting like a madman. His intent to kill was so vivid and obvious in his eyes. The chubby dude was scared and unable to move. And with a gun in his mouth, he couldn’t even plead.

Zheng and the other four people persuaded them to break apart. Black Haired walked back to his seat and said, “Dying in an horror movie is a real death. Furthermore, when you die here you will be tortured by the devils in these movies. So if you don’t have determination to live, I advise you to kill yourself now.”

A girl with glasses said, “Then we don’t have a way to return to our bodies?” 

Black Haired said with a sneer, “I have been saying it’s not your consciousness that came into the computer. Do you think humans have the technology to create this game? No, this is the work of God, we are nothing more than bugs in his eyes. We are thrown here to struggle just to entertain him. Both our bodies and consciousnesses have been brought to this world, and can’t go back. At least I don’t think we can go back.”

The glasses girl had a sense of calmness. She thought for a moment and said, “By your tone, it seems like there’s still a way to go back?”

Black Haired took a look at her and said, “The quality of this time’s newbies isn’t bad. You’re right, there is hope to go back.”

Everyone stared at him. “Every time you finish a mission–that is you lived through a movie–you will obtain 1000 points. You can exchange these points for a lot of things, such as the right to live in a movie for 100 days.” Black Haired said.

A middle aged guy said, “Who would want to live in a horror movie? That’s asking to die.”

Black Haired remained quiet. Glasses Girl said, “No, I think I understand what he meant. There are many genres of horror movies, sci-fi like Resident Evil, where everything can be explained with science. You just have to go outside of where the main events are happening, then the rest of the world is normal.

Black Haired snapped his finger, “Bingo. You can indeed live in another part of this world normally for those days. Think about it, after experiencing a couple of life and death trials, the chance to live normally in this world is a blessing.”

Zheng’s body shivered. He thought he understood the meaning of this world a bit. Yes, the reason he was feeling rotten was because his life was boring. Once you experienced life and death, then the mundane life would become what you wish for.

Black Haired continued, “Other than exchanging for time, there are many other things. Such as this desert eagle with unlimited ammunition. It only took 100 points, that’s 10 days of time. You can also use points to improve yourself, including intelligence, mental capacity, reaction time, cell vitality, muscle density, and immunization strength. In other words, if you survive through this movie, you can double your strength. If you lived through a hundred movies, you can become a super human.”

Glasses Girl asked calmly, “Let’s get back to the point, how many points does it take to get back to our world?”

“50000 points.” Black Haired took out another cigarette. “If you don’t use any points, you just have to live through fifty movies. Then you can go back.”

Suddenly, everyone quieted down. According to this guy, if you don’t use your points, it would be impossible to live through fifty movies.

“Of course, 1000 points is the base reward of every movie. You can do side quests in movies to earn points. Like when I explained everything to you, according to God’s rule, explaining to newbies will reward 100 points. You should’ve noticed that special watch on your hand.” He waved his left hand. There was a black metal watch.

Everyone looked at their own left wrist. There were a few lines of info on this watch. A timer that was counting down from 3 hours 7 minutes. A counter for zombies, hunters, newbies…

“You will get one point for every ten zombies you kill, 100 point for every hunter, and 1000 points for every newbie…” He looked at everyone with a wicked face. Only Zheng and the glasses girl looked back calmly at him.

“Of course that’s negative 1000. Okay, if you have any other questions hurry up and ask. This movie is about to begin.”

Glasses Girl looked at Zheng, then continued, “I have three more questions. I saw Resident Evil, the ending is the T-virus from the lab spreading throughout Racoon City. Then if we drive this car and leave the city, wouldn’t that let us survive easily?”

Black Haired nodded and replied, “Take a look at your watch, there’s a name on the upper left side, read it.”

“One.” Everyone read it out, then they noticed one of the westerners had a faint glow on him, then slowly faded away.

Glasses Girl nodded and said, “One last question. This number, what does it mean?” She pointed to the timer counting down.

“This is the time that you must stay in this movie. Once the timer is over you will go to where God is and get your reward. There you will also wait for the next movie.”

The train started to slow down. Black haired guy finished his cigarette and took out his desert eagle, “Okay, the plot is starting. The cast will be able to hear our conversations now. And once the X-Men had finally secured the base they headed up the building and cane to a standstill as when they appeared, an infant along with another infant in his hand made his way out the door.

Causing one to wonder how he even reached the door handle.  

However with a little telekinesis here and there life was made easy thanks to the red-headed girl. 

Cyclops as the leader of the team swiftly moved forward towards the children, with a gentle smile he rushed forward.

However his visored eyes noticed one thing, a tail?

Surely this was the mutant that Professor was talking about right? I mean he fit the bill but he was unique, he was different.

His onyx black eyes complimented his coal black hair as it seemed to defy the very gravity standing upright into the skies.

While his tail resembled a primates surely he was of a similar mutation to Hank, I mean Hank started off with beast like features just like the little boy.

And every time I saw Hank, I called him a primeape just to piss him off. And ever time I did he chased me around the school. Causing Ororo to giggle each time it happened, while Professor just laughed it off.

But this boy in front of me, he resembled a human too much I mean his very appearance made him look like a regular human except his tail. But he also had some kind of spirituality layered on him that made him feel different.

Especially with that Martial Arts stance that he performed, It looked clumsy but the boy tried his best I guess.

And the girl well she had red hair and was clutched onto tightly by the boy, it was probably his sister but the very fact that a new born could walk and awaken no longer frightened or even surprised me.

We were all Mutant brethren here after all, and I couldn't bear to let such a young child become a pariah of society just like me.

I wanted my fellow mutants to have the same rights as humans, I wished that I could be everywhere and save all mutants.

But... I couldn't I was merely one man, a mortal though some may beg to differ, but it saddened me to see my brethren being taken away from their parents, being abandoned deserted due to them being more efficient; more stronger, faster being better, being superior- due to being Homo-Superior's.

The humans just couldn't understand us no matter how hard we tried yet this little boy caused something inside of me to change, he reminded me of myself to be honest.

But I had the professor at my back that helped my life out a whole lot, he made me feel valued as something human as existing as being someone that had ideals and dreams.

She was like my Mother that I was lucky enough to have in this rotten, rotten world.

But through her guidance I saw this world for what it truly was: Beautiful, yes but a rose like beautiful as though it was glistening with beauty it had thorns as well to remove any intruders.

It was both lovely and lethal, just like this world both good and bad existed and then there were the grey hats that were the Inbetweeners they were the very vines of the rose.

They had good intentions but never acted upon them due to feeling society's pull on them and due to the ever growing pressure that was perched upon their shoulders.

And the red glistening blood that seemed to drip drop from his torso caused me to feel sympathy, feel empathy that our kind has to face such horrors at such a young age due to being different?

No it was more than that, we had powers and so they were scared of us afraid if our abilities our very potentials that seemed to skyrocket past theirs.

I mean they were simple minded plebians who were merely jealous of our abilities and were frustrated due to being unable to control us, they feared us due to our unpredictability- but if that was the case they should be afraid of their future.

I mean the future is unpredictable and is ever changing just a quick flap of a butterflies wings can cause hurricanes in another time so what was there to be worried about from us mortals when the future created by humans was scarier and eviler than 'We' ever will be.

For the greater good? For world peace? For equal rights? For acceptance? As what puppets?

Didn't they understand that we too were just as much mortal as them, we too could die yet they treated us as if we were the very devil's children.

The being so evil and disrespctful that he went against our very creators hands, they equate us as the Anti-Christ.

Beings that were so evil that war, death famine and poverty was a hobby and pleasure to see for them.

Even those persecuted by society for nothing wrong joined forces with those that opposed us- why? Well because society was based on a hierarchical structure based on interest and wealth.

The wealthy ruled this world from the shadows while the muddle class were merely clusters of their foot soldiers doing their bidding at every beck and call.

And I, well I'm a mere man, but still my desires lead me further open the path of the truth, I wish to save this world from its doomed reckoning but only can I save it through the willingness of others.

That is the world we live in.

Once the small child saw the X-Men he let go of his stance as he merely looked up at them while Cyclops seemed to be in a trance as if the world revolved around him.

Which it did not, but he couldn't tell the difference since he believed himself some type of Mutant Messiah a bit of a nut really- it seems Magneto really rubbed off on him quite a bit.

What with all his wondrous speeches of enslavement, colonisation and genocide- it was hard to believe that Eric was even a Nazi victim when the man acted more like a Nazi than any other.

But what could you do life didn't choose for him to live a simple life he was always going to have such a life it was predestined after all.

"Hey Scott wake up, we're working now!"

Exclaimed Hank as Ororo gently moved forward to the two children, and with a gentle smile and a sweet voice she said.

"It's alright... No one will hurt you now... Look we're the same as you we'll take you somewhere safe."

And once she said that she gently embraced me and my sister with both her hands before letting us get comfortable. 

And with that my body didn't resist any more, cause I knew they wouldn't hurt me they were the bloody Power Rangers for Mutants Sake.

And with a quick glance at each of them a *Ding echoed in my head as Alice gently said.

And so I decided to go crazy trying to upgrade the skill and well I did and in a matter of minutes I got to level 2 of the perceive skill.

Lv 2: it reveals the remaining HP, and weaknesses and also shows any other energy types they possess and allows the host to sense the energy types he uses.]

Due to me reaching level 2 in a blink I was now able to sense Ki and everything around me which was good, though I hoped the next level would give me the Ki in a numerical value to make my life easier.

But who knew, anyway I had tired my infant body enough and it was time for me to sleep, so I closed my eyes as I awaited the next day.

Within this book is all the ideas and plots that I was going to use until I decided against it. As well as one shots and things I want to write but don't know if anyone will like it.

Feng Xuan could hear her heartbeat on her ears. She did not know why she was feeling so nervous. Sure, she was getting married. But he was just another human. Why was her heart hammering this way?

She forced herself to take a few deep calming breaths. This was just not like her. She was the type of person who remained calm even when the situation would be stressful. Feng Xuan was most grateful when a soup was finally placed in front of her. Finally, she had something to do with her hand and her mouth would be too occupied to talk.

The other man, she learned, was Qing Zihao. He owned the hotel before handing it down earlier this year to his son Qing Chen. It would mean that she had been living in her husband's property since last week.

Damn, how did I not think of that possibility? she thought. She wanted to kick herself on the butt for not having seen it coming. After all the novels she read, predicting every outcome, here she was living under her would-be husband's hotel all along.

Upon observing, she figured that Qing Chen did not talk too much while their fathers were busy conversing about stories before their children had been born. It would seem Qing Zihao and Feng Lizhao had known each other for a long time, but Feng Xuan was wondering why this was the first time she was meeting the always smiling old man.

She did not get so much of a glance at Qing Chen's face earlier. But now, she could see him under the light and... he was really handsome.

His hair was straight and his eyebrows were thick. He had a nose and cheekbones to die for. And those lips... they looked more luscious than hers. But it was his eyes... she was sure they were brown—nothing out of the ordinary when she first saw them, because if they were different she would've noticed. But now, taking a closer look, they looked blue. Or was it green?

Feng Xuan was busy trying to look into the colors of the eyes in different angles that when those same eyes turned to her, she unintentionally sipped too hard on her soup. The next thing she knew, she was coughing and pounding on her chest as the liquid found its way down her throat.
She was pretty sure she was just about to die a second earlier because everything turned into slow motion.

She saw Qing Chen's eyes widening, and she thought, yeah, they are blue, and she saw how he was going to get out of his seat to come to her but she raised a hand and he stopped. After a not so gentle pat on the back by her father, she was able to breathe again with a last cough. "I'm sorry," she choked out, her voice coarse.

"I think we had enough with dinner," said Qing Zihao. "Are you sure you're alright, little dove?"

Feng Xuan nodded, feeling her face heat up yet again as she slowly took a sip of water.

"Call the lawyers," she heard her father said.

Another two chairs were added to the table, one on each side and two men in smart-looking suits showed up, briefcases on their hands. A copy of the marriage contract was pushed in the hands of Feng Xuan. It had numerous pages and her eyebrows raised when she saw it was actually a pre-nuptial contract.

She flipped, not actually wanting to read the provisions. Her lawyer was giving her a brief summary, but the words seemed to go in and then out of her ears without her comprehending it.
"Basically, his current properties are his, and your current properties are yours. Inherited properties should also fall in your names. Properties that the two of you will acquire during the span of your marriage are the only assets subject to be divided should a time come for a divorce. If a divorce happens, your alimony, whether or not you are able to support yourself if the time comes, would be 40% of Qing Chen's net income. You are required to give a male heir. Failure to do so can be grounds for termination of your marriage contract. In regards to your future child or children should a need arise, family law shall be applied."

Feng Xuan felt her heart stopped beating for a second upon the last sentence. Child... children...

"You may now sign the contracts," the other lawyer said.

Feng Xuan took a quick peek at Qing Chen who had already started signing the papers. She took a pen and, with a slightly shaking hand, signed. She wanted to curse inside her head out of nervousness. Here she was, binding her life to the man she just met.

They exchanged papers and Feng Xuan noticed that Qing Chen had a thick handwriting. Her signatures and thin strokes looked so small compared to his heavy and big ones.

"And now the marriage contract."

The lawyers gave them another set of papers and gave them a short summary. It looked pretty ordinary to her. That one, she signed easily. 

"I am actually ordained," said Feng Xuan's lawyer, slipping the papers inside his briefcase. "I guess, I now pronounce you man and wife."

Qing Chen breathed out when he heard those words. He had signed those papers without a second thought. Now, he pulled a small red box from his pocket. Inside there were two rings made of platinum; one, just a plain band, and the other, encrusted with diamonds all around.

He watched as Feng Xuan's slim and long fingers reached for her ring. Her eyes were glued to the sparkling diamonds. Her father was right; she loved shiny things. It was like she was in a trance and the smile on her face was as bright as the stones.

"Do you like it, child?" Qing Chen heard his father ask.

Feng Xuan nodded at his father and she slipped the ring on her finger. "That's really beautiful." She directed her eyes at Qing Chen. "Thank you."

Qing Chen smiled back at his now wife. Wow, that sounded so... unusual, he thought. To be honest, he felt a little giddy on the inside having called someone his wife. And he thought he liked that kind of giddy. He fished his own ring and pushed it on his ring finger.

They took turns taking pictures with their parents. And finally, it was just him and her. 

"You should hold her hand, show us the pretty ring," his father beamed at him looking proud.

Qing Chen turned to Feng Xuan. "May I?"

"Oh!" she said in surprise before putting her hands on his waiting ones.

Her hands felt cold on his warm ones. Was she nervous? he thought. He smiled at the camera, angling both of their hands so the rings could be seen.

"Alright, let's wrap this up. You two go on ahead to your new home. We will stay a little more for a few drinks," Qing Chen's father said.

Feng Xuan walked to her father and gave him a hug, feeling a little thankful for her new husband. This Qing Chen seemed to be decent. "I'll be taking my leave."

"Of course, Xuanxuan. You shall. I hope you'll like my present."

Feng Xuan released her father. "I am sure I will love it."

Feng Xuan turned to her new father-in-law who more than willingly engulfed her in a quick hug. He smelled like her father, but more on smoke of burnt leaves. "You need not to worry about a single thing, little dove. Qing Chen will handle everything for you. If he does something stupid, let me know. I will give him a good whack."

"I'm sure he'll behave well."

"I hope not for tonight," the old man joked. And Feng Xuan chuckled nervously. What comes after the wedding? "Off you go now, the both of you. Make us a healthy heir. To your honeymoon! Go, go, go!"

“For you, my wife, a rose as delicate and beautiful as you are. The world is your garden, I will make it so. Here, we will tend our love everyday. And I will slay anyone who dares come pick the flowers.”

Feng Xuan laughed at Qing Chen’s little letter and whispered to herself in answer, “No, my husband. It is I who will give us the world.”

1. This is a slow-paced story, because of this ROMANCE CAME LATE FOR THE LEADS. I'm saying this again, LATE. There's a huge reason behind this, if you will be patient you'd get there. 
2. Male Lead is weak AT FIRST. As this story is slow-paced, character development took a while. 
3. Female Lead will start to reawaken around Chapter 80 and ML will rise into his full potential shortly afterwards--once you start reading you'll know why it took this long. 
4. This book is not just about the romance part, it is also has a lot of mystery and later on, action in it.

{Him and that May! He's spending all night with her, every night, going through dungeons together and everything… and Colin keeps going on and on about that GIRL!}
     Katrin fumed as she climbed out of that tunnel she'd sheltered in, and was a bit startled to see that there was a roof of ice slanted right over it. {Huh? Where did THAT come from?}
     A quick glance around saw only a small figure in the distance. Katrin's eyes narrowed. She snatched up her hunter's scope and increased the magnification as far as she could to see that figure.
     There wasn't much to see. Thick furs, yellow scarf, blue bunny on the shoulder, and a large blue crystal like figure of a Comrade. Some kind of ice-type golem, she guessed. Looking at him (or was it a 'her'?) from behind, Katrin had no way of knowing who it was, except that it sure wasn't Colin or any of her traveling group from earlier.
     "Thank you!" Katrin shouted as loud as she could and was startled when the figure gave her a wave of the hand without turning around. 
     "Bub." Bubba said, nosing her. Katrin shivered – Bubba's nose seemed particularly cold. Worried he might be sick, she turned to him and got another surprise.
     Bubba was half white. He looked like a clump of snow had fallen over him and stained the top half of him. It was Bubba – Katrin was sure of it – but at the same time…
     "What happened to you?" Katrin stared. "Are you okay?"
     "Bubo." Bubba's voice sounded the same, but Katrin had never heard him say 'o' in anything before.
     Worse, Gera and Rall looked odd too. Rall looked… broader… in the face, and blockier in general. What Katrin had thought was simply snow caught in his fur suddenly looked like flecks of white instead, fine and spread thin. Gera herself had a tint of blue to her. Katrin couldn't figure it out until she took a closer look at Gera's fur and found that the tips of it ended in blue.
     Worst of all, Gera and Bubba actually looked… smaller.
     "What happened to you all?!" Katrin gasped. "A doctor… a vet… a Breeder… I need to find a Comrade Home!"
     But Pinecone Village didn't have one. Katrin already knew there was only one Comrade Home on this continent, because this continent only had one town– Soft Snows.
     She ran for it. It took her some five minutes to tire, and five more before she caught her breath and ran on, but she hurried as fast as she could.
     She arrived panting, hoping against hope that the Breeder would be at least friendly enough to help her sick Comrades when she found another surprise.
     "Aoi?!" Katrin stared. "What are you doing here?"
     "I just transferred." Aoi told her. The Breeder from the destroyed Riverside Comrade Home gave her a broad smile. "I'm in charge here now. It's good to see a familiar face. What can I do for you?"
     "Aoi! Thank God!" Katrin wanted to hug her, but instead, she pulled her Comrades in with her own hands. "My Comrades! I think they're sick with something!"
     "Sick?" Aoi blinked. "What happened?"
     "We were caught in a snowstorm, and now…" Katrin gestured wordlessly.
     Aoi's eyes narrowed. She pulled up some records and viewed Katrin's history with Comrade Homes. She scanned Bubba and compared the scan to the Comrade Home records. Then, she did the same for Gera and Rall. "Hmm."
     "What's wrong with them?" Katrin asked, worriedly.
     "Wrong?" Aoi blinked. "I'd say you did just fine. They've evolved quite nicely."
     "They what?!" Katrin gaped.
     "Scan them and see for yourself." Aoi invited.
     Katrin didn't bother to scan them one by one. She drew up her Summary instead.

     Gera, Bubba, and Rall had definitely changed. Not only in title and levels, but in their potential growth. Because of that, Gera and Bubba had become Juveniles again.
     "Ah." Aoi mused. "That Shadow Hawk must be the one left here in recovery. The one in the black-and-gold aviary."
     "Yes. That's Blackswirl." Katrin said. "But that's not the point! What happened to these three? How did they…?"
     "You didn't know about evolving?" Aoi looked surprised. "Most people come all the way here just for that, and go back afterwards."
     Then Katrin noticed something else. "Whoa! What happened to Junrei and Ardent?!"
Aoi fell silent, and checked more records. "I see."
     "What?" Katrin asked, worried about the cold tone in Aoi's voice.
     "Ardent was already Apathetic when Colin transferred him to you. He was already so hurt, he no longer cared about things. After yet one more transfer, well… he basically gave up on everything." Aoi shook her head. "He's become something less now, and will probably devolve further. Junrei, too. If any of your Comrades are sick, Katrin, it's Ardent and Junrei."
     "Junrei…" Katrin trailed off. She'd never really paid him much attention. Maybe that was why.
     "Kat… Comrades like these are called Desolates. I'm sorry, but I have to confiscate them." Aoi said. "There's a new rule up now to prevent more Frenzieds. Comrade Homes are to confiscate Desolates wherever we encounter them."
     "What happens to them?" Katrin asked, worried.
     "Desolates are usually victims of abuse or neglect. Comrade Homes take them in and try to heal them, but if we can't, we seal them." Aoi answered, tapping in some keys. "I also have to tag you with demerit points."
     Katrin winced. "That doesn't sound good."
     "This doesn't look good either. Evolving three Comrades and letting two more turn Desolate… it looks to me like you can't handle this many." Aoi told her. "Just how many Command types do you have?"
     Katrin stared. "Uh… none?"
     Aoi grimaced. "That explains it. Kat, I strongly suggest you get one – quick. You might want to transfer out the Comrades you can't give full attention to until then. Where's Colin? If I remember right, your theme was 'given by Colin'."
     Katrin bit her lip. "We… um… separated."
     "A lover's quarrel?" Aoi shook her head. "Either change your theme or make up and ask him for a Command type, but hurry. The Red Panthers and the Desert Lynxmouse can't go out in this cold, and the Forktail Swallow is in bad shape too. If you leave them alone like this, eventually, they'll all go Desolate."
     "All?!" Katrin gasped.
     "All." Aoi nodded. "Even the Shadow Hawk and the Common Lynxmouse. No matter how good their habitats are, if you leave them alone like this…"
     "I'll call him." Katrin gulped. "I'll call him right now."
     "Good." Aoi said.

     "Kat?" Colin blinked, startled to have her call him after a letter like that. 
     "I need a Command type Comrade, fast!" Katrin wailed.
     "Huh?" Colin blinked.
     "Hurry!" Katrin barked, and then cut the link.
     Colin was left scratching his head. {First, she runs off without saying anything, without any warning. Then, she doesn't want to talk to me. After that, I send her a text message, and she replies with a one-word scolding, calling me an idiot in capital letters. And all of a sudden, out of the blue, she calls me and demands a Command type?!}
     "What am I, some sort of convenience store?!" Colin growled. "Or a punching bag?!"
     {But I owe her. I owe her for Raiki, for saving me… even after everything… in the end… I still owe her.}
     "Trouble?" Scarlet asked, turning away from where Kirin was practicing water attacks on Nettles, her giant red vine of a Comrade. Nettles seemed to be enjoying the water.
     "Katrin needs a command type Comrade. And her theme is 'given by Colin'." He told her shortly.
     "Don't get one from here, Colin. They'll find us right away." May reminded him.
     "Then?" Colin groaned.
     "Get one from near Soft Snows." Scarlet suggested. "Or better yet, buy her one from the Comrade Home."
     "I'll get Squirmy." George offered.
     "Thanks." Colin sighed.
     They were off in a minute.

     Meanwhile, Aoi was apologetically adding more penalties for Katrin. "You need to drop at least two more Comrades. That's the law."
     "Two…!" Katrin groaned. She looked through her summary.
     The choices were obvious. They were right there at the bottom of the list.
     "Warc can go to Edward's Farm." Katrin said, sadly. "She's a duck, after all, and her mate is there. She'll be happier laying eggs and swimming in the pond than freezing her feathers off here."
     "That sounds good." Aoi agreed. "That sort of thing should have been done much earlier. Warc looks like she's barely holding up now. She's almost Desolate herself."
     Katrin had thought her head couldn't go any lower. Clearly, she had been wrong. "And the other… has to be Meek. Henry's got a whole army of Lynxmice, including Meek's mate. They should be happy together."
     "I agree." Aoi said. "Now, where exactly are Edward and Henry?"
     "Crescent Continent. Edward's at Hot Springs village, where we started a new farm. Henry's probably helping clear out Frenzieds at Sunshine Town Ruins."
     "We'll need a fast delivery service. Wind Knight couriers." Aoi figured. "I'm calling Shinji, but you're paying."
     Katrin sat down on the floor and laid her head in her lap, covering it with both arms. She let out a long groan.
     Then, her watch beeped. Katrin tapped it, thinking it was Colin, and let out another groan just to let him know how she felt about all this.
     But it wasn't Colin. "Katrin? It's Hari. Where are you?"
     "Hari?" Katrin stared. She suddenly realized that they had probably waited for her and were likely still waiting for her at Pinecone Village. "I… I'm at Soft Snows."
     "Good." Hari said, and he didn't sound happy. "We checked out Pinecone Village already, and we just passed by that melting shelter of yours. We were wondering where you went."
     "Sorry." Katrin had thought things couldn't get any worse. Obviously, she was wrong again. "I should have called."
     "You should." Hari said in a rather cold voice, and hung up.
     {How could so many things go wrong so quickly all at the same time?}
     "Katrin!" Aoi called her. "Get over here and spend some time with your remaining Comrades! Don't make them feel even worse by ignoring them when you're right here!"
     Katrin scrambled.
     {Things can't get any worse. They just can't.}

     But once again, Katrin was wrong.

     Shinji reached them first. He took the transfer plates, charged the fee to Katrin, and was just about to leave when Colin showed up.
     "C-Colin?!" Katrin stared. "You found one already?!"
     "Colin." Shinji confronted him. "What were you doing at Lamico?! What were you thinking?"
     "Shinji?" Colin blinked. He clearly wasn't expecting him there. "What brings you here?"
     "Discuss later." Aoi said. "Katrin needs a command-type, now. If you haven't brought one, I assume you planned to buy one from here."
     "Actually, yes." Colin said. "Do you have any in stock?"
     Shinji wasn't about to wait. The Wind Knights were the fastest couriers on Nakama World, and he was among their fastest. He wasn't going to stand around waiting for Colin to finish his business before getting his answers. "Answer me, Colin! You're at the top of the Most Wanted list now, in every good Guild in the whole world! Talk fast, or I'll turn you in myself! What were you doing?!"
     "Turn me in?" Colin suddenly stepped back, eyes wide and wary. He saw the look on Shinji's face. "You're serious."
     Right at that point, a pleasant-looking man came in. "Hey, Colin, I was wondering, what if you got her something from outside? It'll be… cheaper…"
     He trailed off, looking at Shinji. Shinji stared right back at him. "The Gardener. You're with {him}."
     And just for the heck of it, Hari, Daud, Kancil, Amina, Jonah, Alicia and Larry all decided to pop in to the Comrade Home at exactly that moment.
     They saw Colin. They saw the Gardener. Eyes widened in recognition. Colin recognized them too, and the Gardener knew J-Knight emblems when he saw them. 
     Everyone froze for a bare instant.
     Katrin wished she knew some truly bad words, because if there was ever a time to use them, it would have been now.

1984 May
 
It was early morning when child services arrived. They found Katherine's sleeping figure with a syringe inches away as was usual. She had forgotten to pay the rent. Again. Alana stared at them impassively as she answered the questions her mother was not in the right state of mind to. Yes, she felt perfectly safe at home. No, her mother did not usually leave the apartment so filthy.
 
A lie if she had ever heard one.
 
No, she didn't want to go stay with someone else.
 
Foster care was out of the question. She had heard the stories and seen the impact of the system in this life and the last. If she were lucky, she'd end up with an abuser rather than a rapist. Considering the year, she would be fortunate if she didn't end up dead under someone's backyard. The woman leading the team was an old friend of Katherine's. That was probably the only reason they left. Katherine was written off with a warning and a card for addiction services. They left Alana with a contact number that did nothing to stop her from glaring as they left. It was too close. She resolved herself to keep a closer eye on her mother.

Alana had barely glanced at the notification before she was in her mindscape grilling Capricorn on the meaning of mind defence. He explained that he could now stop the intrusion of foreign energy to some degree. The triskelion could only protect information regarding the children of Gaia - which was to be expected really. Now she had something to protect everything else.
 
The name was a curious thing though. There was a saying that an absolute only serves to affirm the existence of its opposite. She wondered briefly what sort of mind attacks could be performed in this world. The humans here had seemed average to her, but this, along with the existence of a magic core, indicated a more sinister presence. Witches perhaps? Fae? Mutants? Twilightesque Vampires? Only time could tell. She gave Capricorn her thanks for his services despite him technically being a construct of her mind. He seemed pleased.
 
Progress with Aquarius was quite different.
 
"Summon: Aquarius," Alana stuck out her hand to catch the soccer-ball-sized slime.
 
"Pew! Pew!" The slime rolled its way into the trash bag Alana had prepared for it. She watched as one by one the slime dissolved and then replicated each object in the bag. The process was fascinating to watch as the creature was semi-transparent. Matter seemed to turn into bubbles in the slimes stomach before vanishing. Where did the objects go? She had every intention of finding out. Aquarius couldn't copy living beings as they were too complex and refused to eat an entire bag of objects in one go which was a shame. The little slime, however, had no problem storing and reproducing multiple objects if they were the same thing. Ding!

Alana smiled with satisfaction.
 
1984 August
 
Linda's apartment was a palace compared to the dwelling of Alana's single parent. It was for this reason that she had elected to stay with the old woman over the last month when offered the opportunity. Linda had been more than happy to lend the couch, knowing the situation at home was far worse. Home was barely two doors down, but it seemed a world away as Alana unlocked the door. Katherine would be out shopping at this time, so she intended to give the place a quick clean and leave some rent money for the landlord if he came by.
 
The last time she had given her earnings to her mother, it had been used to fund her less endearing habits. She had learnt quickly not to repeat that mistake no matter how much her mother begged. Alana quickly picked her way past some discarded rubbish while holding a hand over her mouth to block out the stench of urine. Had a cat got in again? She was surprised to see her mother sleeping on her bed at this time of the day but shrugged it off as a rough night. With a click of her tongue, she nudged the sleeping woman slightly, so see if she'd be waking up anytime soon. Nothing. Go figure. She gave the prone body another once-over.
 
Her chest wasn't even moving.
 
Everything seemed to slow down for a moment before reality hit her like a freight train. Panicked, she checked her mother's pulse once, twice and then a third time. Nothing. Nothing. Nothing. Fear washed over her as nausea settled in her stomach.
 
"No. No. No," she muttered with panic clenching her heart. The shock of the scene had not yet paralysed her system, and she frantically turned the woman to examine her fully. Bloated skin greeted her vision. Blood dripped unnaturally from blue eyes and a foaming mouth. The stench of decomposing organs assaulted her senses, and she gagged. Not a recent death. How long had she been here? Alana stumbled back and tripped her way to the door. She was shaking and wide-eyed as she stumbled out of the apartment. She slammed the door behind her, hoping it would somehow dispel the visions of her mother's corpse from her mind.
 
She had been there a week at least. Her mother's corpse had been rotting for at least a week. She dry-wretched over the sink in Linda's bathroom, but nothing came out. Her hands were washed in scalding water several times before she tore them away from the liquid and curled up in the bathtub. It was wrong. It was disgusting and cruel how she had run from that corpse. The image of the body in her mind made bile rise in the back of her throat. She trembled, but the tears wouldn't fall. It was pathetic, but she didn't know what else to do. Her eyes stared unfocused at the wall for hours until they began to weigh down. She was tired, far too tired to think with the trauma burning her inside out. She wasn't sure how she slept, but she did, and the absence of thought had never felt sweeter.
 
She hadn't told anyone about the body. She couldn't find the words and didn't know if she wanted to. It would mean going into the system. Was it selfish to look out for herself now that her mother was gone? Was caring for the living not more important than caring for the dead? She should have kept a closer eye on her mother. She should have gotten her off the drugs. She should have been there. Should have, could have… She didn't. Child services would catch up with her eventually, and she'd be sent to a home. Maybe it would be a fitting punishment for her sins.
 
Jake Matthews considered himself to be a good kid. He was a well-behaved son even when his father disappeared for business trips each month. He was a decent student performing above his age level. He also thought himself to be a loyal friend. That last expression of his goodness had become less of a virtue and more of a fault over the past week. He cast a concerned eye towards his close friend, Alana Hales, and sighed. Her expression was closed off where it had once been teasing and seemingly unaffected by the world around it. She had been withdrawn these past days, and he didn't know why.
 
"Are you feeling alright?" He had asked the same question barely minutes ago.
 
"Fine," she replied. She was lying, and it left a bitter taste on his tongue. He couldn't force her to tell the truth. He wouldn't.
 
"You can tell me anything, you know that, right?" He tried to smile.
 
"Yeah." He wouldn't find out until late-September what that answer meant.

With a gift bringing hope, comfort and relief, it was only fitting that Gaia bestow a curse of equal measure. A child to reap what it could not. A child born of death's greed and life's carelessness. Fate was rewritten then with the dignified scrawl of an unknown deity. Screaming and kicking at the divine injustice of it all, a new life was born into the world. Out of the frenzied passions of a drunkard and a drug addict from the shadowed back streets of London came Alana Hales. Out of the tattered folds of deaths cloak came the worn soul of one Alexis Crevan.
