The engineer looked me with a rather befuddled look as I was biting my lower lip and looking at the model and noticed the realism and effort that the engineers had placed in, making it the most lifelike with all functioning home essentials inside it, furnishing them to the highest level.

Actually, the scale displayed was quite large for a dollhouse currently, as people standing 10 paces back could see the details very well, but I just wanted to play around with it as Heather can greet me when I enter the door and the children would rush down the stairs to greet me too... This sets me thinking since we need to have 5 men to work on a house to complete it in 7 days. So to make the first row of houses lining the perimeter of the riverbank, there would be an x number of houses... I looked at the engineer and asked him, "How many houses based on a plot of land 50 feet by 30 feet?"

"175 houses on a single row of 2 miles, Your Majesty, and 700 houses on all 4 sides excluding the structures for roads and the space for the Barracks, Water Brigade, Patrolmen and a marketplace on all corners."

The ancient term to call a fire station was a water brigade during the time I wasn't even born yet.

Let's move on to the next topic where everyone can see the overview of Gracehaven from a bird's eye view.

The tarp was slowly removed and the 4 by 4 platform was revealed and the 4 by 4 represents the exact 4 miles for the perimeter of the second cluster...!

The designs for the Town Square was simpler than expected as the buildings were as is of now. The only difference was the livestock that had been moved across the riverbank. According to the plots of land on a 1½ mile x 2 mile where the crops filed were, there's an estimated 200 to 210 crop fields measuring 100 feet by 100 feet that were not inclusive of the cemetery plot.

Even the building of the church was not there as well and the livestock pens and enclosures were not put up accordingly. Hmm... This got to change or else the citizens might get confused.

The river perimeter around the town square is good and was well protecting the borders between the first cluster. The only drawback was the rows of houses that were built on the first cluster as it was rather hurried but we could tell them about the layout soon enough.

A low wall was built around the borders of the second cluster where a row of houses was being placed too. At the 4 corners of the first and second cluster, there was a colourful canopy that represents a common market place. And that would do for now. 

But the roads... I pointed out that there would be 3 roads within the first cluster on one side and connected by 3 bridges over to the Town Square. Then the second cluster would have 4 roads on each side. 

To connect the first cluster to the Town Square, there's a total of 12 bridges, wide enough for 2 wagons on each side and a walking path on the sides. The corrections had been noted by the engineers and they immediately wanted to rectify them before displaying them.

I instructed them to make free-standing models of some 2 storey buildings, the more the merrier so we could place them in order to plan. The rest of the 4 by 4 minimap was quite alright.

Overall the minimap was satisfactory but it could be improved. They had made quite an effort to design the newly expanded Gracehaven based on their Imaginations as wild as it could be but there's always room for improvements.

I highlighted to them to make about a dozen watchtowers and also to make the high wall protecting the perimeter of the town and include only 3 gate entrances facing all directions except for the Eastern side.

They noted and covered the tarp over the minimap and brought it away to make the rectifications accordingly.

Heather was there and she pinched me for being too hard to the engineers and I told them that certain things need to be perfect since some minds were too simple. 

If an error was not corrected beforehand, the citizens might take the minimap as the final design and follow the errors to their best abilities. Besides, I am not involved with the construction and land expansion so some errors might pass my eyes. 

Using the minimap as a concept to be adhered to, the design should look the exact way we wanted it to be.

Heather then realised about it and she pinched me again out of habit. "You will never tear my skin off like before, dear. Haha. I'm tough enough and will keep on training when I have the time."

"You can train all you want and you can be picky with the minimap and such but don't neglect your twins. Even if you peek or say a few words or carry them for a few minutes, at least the twins know that they have a father that cares for them."

I realised that and I smiled as I pulled  Heather close to me and promised that I would always be there for her and the twins, no matter unless I'm in the privy minding my own business or out travelling to other lands and conquering them in the name of Macleod... Yeah, that sounds doable.

Soon, dinner time came and during that nightly conference, I announced that we have the model of the house ready and invited the first 5 families according to seniority to come forth to the domain entrance to view the house and to ask any questions as the engineers would take turns and be repeating the same 'sales talk' to the residents.

When the first 5 families came to view the model of the house, they were excited and immediately agree to start work on the new houses and we all laughed at the enthusiasm that was shown on their faces.

Ben explained to the families that the perimeter of the town square needed to be completed before the houses were to be constructed. Only after the first row of houses around the perimeter of the river had been completed, would the residents then be able to relocate.

There were a lot of oohs and aahs when they viewed the model of the house and from the looks of the citizens, they looked really positive in the changes that would be seen in Gracehaven.

Viraj was confused and suspicious if Arnav knows something.

Viraj: Khushi... Gupta? Yeah I mean she was our junior.

Arnav: Sharp memory I must say?

Viraj: Yeah! she was related. How could I forget?

Zheng Zha (Zheng) always felt that he was dead in reality. Go to work, come home, eat meals, go to bed and wake up; he didn’t know where the meaning of his life lay. It was definitely not in that face of his fat supervisor, not in that white collar woman’s body that he met in the bar, and not in this steel and concrete forest – the modern city.

Zheng felt he was rotting. Going to rot from the age of 24 til the end of his life, then become a part of the earth and leave behind a name. No, not even a name, since no one would remember him. No one would remember a little white collar. Whether he lived as a truly graceful person or just pretended to be one, he was just a tiny piece of this world.

He wanted to change something. He wanted to have his meaning.

‘Want to know the meaning of life? Want to live… a real life?’

When he turned on his computer at work today, a message popped up. This was obviously some newbie hacker seeking attention. It would force you to download a virus, whichever option you choose. Zheng laughed at it and was about to close it. Yet, his heart skipped a beat when his hand touched the mouse. He paused.

Zheng felt a little lost. An indescribable force attracted him to put his finger on the mouse. Then he clicked on the YES button and lost consciousness.

The moment he woke up, Zheng jumped up from the ground. He looked around in panic. The disparity of the vision of his office and the current environment caused a chaos in his head, but after a few seconds he woke up from the confusion.

“Not bad, you have the best quality of the bunch this time.” A cold voice said.

Zheng turned his head around and saw a black haired guy sneering at him. This person was around 24 or 25, had a very common face, but the few scars on his face made him looked horrifying.

Black haired guy held a cigarette in his hand and took a deep smoke. His sight then looked past Zheng. That was when Zheng realized there were five people lying beside him. Three men and two women. Other than that, there were over ten westerners in this concealed room.

This was the compartment of a train and the train was moving very fast. The feelings of coldness and shaking were coming from the train.

“Where is this place? Who are you? Why am I here?”, Zheng asked these people. Furthermore, due to the presence of westerners, he repeated it in English.

The westerners looked at him for a moment then turned their heads away. Only the black haired guy said to him, “Think carefully, it should have inserted everything into your head.”

Think carefully? Zheng tried to recall everything. He only remembered when he saw the pop-up on the screen ‘Want to know the meaning of life? Want to live… a real life?’, and clicked YES, before he fell unconscious.

Wait… Zheng felt there was something in his head, something about survival and life.

This was a game. Whoever created this game was not known. Maybe it was God, maybe it was the Devil, or maybe they were aliens or humans from the future. Now he had became a player of this game, or maybe part of this game.

A game that brought together those who were lost in life but have yet to become a rotten person. When they chose this game they would be transported to various scenes in horror movies.

“It is Resident Evil 1 this time.[1] Your luck isn’t bad, newbies. Getting such an easy horror movie on the first time. Even when you die it will be an easy death.” The black haired guy took his last smoke then crushed the cigarette in his hand.

“Are you saying only our consciousness came inside the computer? Just like in novels? And when we complete this game our consciousness will go back to our bodies?” A chubby dude next to Zheng asked.

Black Haired took out a gun, a desert eagle. While handling the gun he said, “I don’t know if it’s consciousness or not, but you will feel pain, you will get injured, and you will die. And you were wrong, when you finish this movie, you will go to the next one. Maybe you have seen that movie or maybe not. Every time, God will bring in new members to replace those that died in the last movie. Every movie consists of seven to twenty people. In other words this is a very easy movie, we only have seven people here.”

Chubby Dude said with a sneer, “How do you know those who died didn’t go back to their body? Perhaps they chose to die willingly.”

Black Haired raised his head suddenly, as though he had became a panther in this moment. He bent his knees and in a split second he’s already on top of the chubby dude. His desert eagle stuffed inside the chubby dude’s mouth.

“Then would you want to try and die? Can you imagine that unending terror? I lived through three movies. The first one was Nightmare on Elm Street 1.[2] There were 15 newbies in that movie and two experienced survivors. But do you want to know the ending? They all died in their dreams. Me and another person were the only ones that survived. Do you want to know how it feels to get killed by a stupid dream? Imagine everything around you becomes slithering rotten meat. You watch as a pair of scissors slowly cut through every bit of your body in a gruesome factory. Can you imagine the pain? You piece of shit! Do you want to die?”

Black Haired was shouting like a madman. His intent to kill was so vivid and obvious in his eyes. The chubby dude was scared and unable to move. And with a gun in his mouth, he couldn’t even plead.

Zheng and the other four people persuaded them to break apart. Black Haired walked back to his seat and said, “Dying in an horror movie is a real death. Furthermore, when you die here you will be tortured by the devils in these movies. So if you don’t have determination to live, I advise you to kill yourself now.”

A girl with glasses said, “Then we don’t have a way to return to our bodies?” 

Black Haired said with a sneer, “I have been saying it’s not your consciousness that came into the computer. Do you think humans have the technology to create this game? No, this is the work of God, we are nothing more than bugs in his eyes. We are thrown here to struggle just to entertain him. Both our bodies and consciousnesses have been brought to this world, and can’t go back. At least I don’t think we can go back.”

The glasses girl had a sense of calmness. She thought for a moment and said, “By your tone, it seems like there’s still a way to go back?”

Black Haired took a look at her and said, “The quality of this time’s newbies isn’t bad. You’re right, there is hope to go back.”

Everyone stared at him. “Every time you finish a mission–that is you lived through a movie–you will obtain 1000 points. You can exchange these points for a lot of things, such as the right to live in a movie for 100 days.” Black Haired said.

A middle aged guy said, “Who would want to live in a horror movie? That’s asking to die.”

Black Haired remained quiet. Glasses Girl said, “No, I think I understand what he meant. There are many genres of horror movies, sci-fi like Resident Evil, where everything can be explained with science. You just have to go outside of where the main events are happening, then the rest of the world is normal.

Black Haired snapped his finger, “Bingo. You can indeed live in another part of this world normally for those days. Think about it, after experiencing a couple of life and death trials, the chance to live normally in this world is a blessing.”

Zheng’s body shivered. He thought he understood the meaning of this world a bit. Yes, the reason he was feeling rotten was because his life was boring. Once you experienced life and death, then the mundane life would become what you wish for.

Black Haired continued, “Other than exchanging for time, there are many other things. Such as this desert eagle with unlimited ammunition. It only took 100 points, that’s 10 days of time. You can also use points to improve yourself, including intelligence, mental capacity, reaction time, cell vitality, muscle density, and immunization strength. In other words, if you survive through this movie, you can double your strength. If you lived through a hundred movies, you can become a super human.”

Glasses Girl asked calmly, “Let’s get back to the point, how many points does it take to get back to our world?”

“50000 points.” Black Haired took out another cigarette. “If you don’t use any points, you just have to live through fifty movies. Then you can go back.”

“Of course, 1000 points is the base reward of every movie. You can do side quests in movies to earn points. Like when I explained everything to you, according to God’s rule, explaining to newbies will reward 100 points. You should’ve noticed that special watch on your hand.” He waved his left hand. There was a black metal watch.

Everyone looked at their own left wrist. There were a few lines of info on this watch. A timer that was counting down from 3 hours 7 minutes. A counter for zombies, hunters, newbies…

“You will get one point for every ten zombies you kill, 100 point for every hunter, and 1000 points for every newbie…” He looked at everyone with a wicked face. Only Zheng and the glasses girl looked back calmly at him.

“Of course that’s negative 1000. Okay, if you have any other questions hurry up and ask. This movie is about to begin.”

Glasses Girl looked at Zheng, then continued, “I have three more questions. I saw Resident Evil, the ending is the T-virus from the lab spreading throughout Racoon City. Then if we drive this car and leave the city, wouldn’t that let us survive easily?”

Black Haired nodded and replied, “Take a look at your watch, there’s a name on the upper left side, read it.”

“One.” Everyone read it out, then they noticed one of the westerners had a faint glow on him, then slowly faded away.

“This is the leader of the mercenaries in this movie. This movie belongs to a specified location genre. The plot only happens in the lab. In this kind of movie, you are not allowed to leave the plot area or stay too far away from the cast. If you stay further than 300 feet from One, then bang, you will have nothing left. Understand? Of course when One is dead in the movie this restriction will be moved to another cast.” Black Haired explained.

Zheng then asked, “Who is this God that you have been mentioning?”

“God is the thing that manages our entrance to movies. It gives us points and you also exchange things through it. God is a ball of light. I don’t really know what it is either.”

Glasses Girl nodded and said, “One last question. This number, what does it mean?” She pointed to the timer counting down.

“This is the time that you must stay in this movie. Once the timer is over you will go to where God is and get your reward. There you will also wait for the next movie.”

The train started to slow down. Black haired guy finished his cigarette and took out his desert eagle, “Okay, the plot is starting. The cast will be able to hear our conversations now. Remember, if they hear anything not belonging to this world or spoilers, 10 points will be deducted for every sentence. Well, newbies, try your best to survive.”

This was Michael, halfway through the transferal process. He could feel his consciousness building up in wherever this place was. Probably his new body. Still couldn't hear. Still couldn't see. And he sure as hell couldn't feel anything, other than a new type of pain.

 He felt like he was the amount of sand at the bottom of an hourglass, with over half an hour left to go. So incomplete. What made it more painful was his literal inability to do anything. It became so painful to bear that he blacked out.

Michael woke up. But he found it surprisingly difficult to open his eyes. After prying them open, he was momentarily blinded before shutting them again.

He groaned. 'Well that's not an option for now' He muttered in his head.

Next, he tried feeling around, and was for some reason surprised to find two arms, two legs, a head (obviously), and a body; upper torso, abdomen and all. However... they felt... small. 

Michael himself was about 175 cm tall or a little less than 5' 9" when he was on earth, but these limbs greatly discomforted him. 

Then there was how weak they felt. If he was his old self, a heavy wave of the hand could probably bruise this body or even break its bones.

He tried moving, managing to do so despite his weakness, first rolling over, then pushing off of the ground with his palms.

It was only then that Michael attempted to open his eyes. There was a hard barren ground beneath him: with an orange tint, and completely lifeless. Grains of sand and sediment were drifting past him in the light wind.

A sudden burst of pain in his stomach made him collapse back onto the hard ground. He suddenly noticed, it felt like he hadn't eaten for weeks. Michael let out another groan in pain, then slowly got back hunched-over on his knees again. When he looked down upon himself, four words came to mind: thin child in rags.

 He studied his hands, small, like a 5-year-olds. At most this body's age was 6 years, though such had yet to be seen seeing how malnourished he was, maybe older. And the clothes, they were nothing more than a few rags sewn together to fit the needs of covering one's upper body, fitting a little large on him. His lower body was clothed in some tough looking material in the shape of pant legs. Both items of clothing, however, were torn in various places, leaving airborne sediment to freely flow through.

Michael then observed the land around him and was deeply shocked for a moment.

Jagged mounds of metal, jutted out from beneath hills of sand and debris. There were enormous metal skeletal structures, he knew not of which use they had, they could have been the frames of spaceships. These structures were massive but broken across his view.

What were most numerous in his eyes, however, were the piles of seemingly endless scraps around him. Rusting cylinder shaped items were strewn about the place alongside bent pipes and broken plates.

"Where the fuck am I?!" A high pitched yell asked aloud.

Although the situation was intriguing, Michael was a little angry, very confused, and deadly hungry.

He looked around, searching the visible landscape for any other signs of life. But all he found was: scrap, scrap, and more scrap. 

The sun, high up in the sky, and the thing that blinded him earlier, was back at it again. Bouncing beams of light off random metal surfaces at odd angles, trying to get at his eyes. The heat was also killing him.

'Let's get to shade. This heat will probably kill me before hunger does. And I still don't know where in the heck I'll be getting food from in this place.' Michael thought, worried.

"Wha?" Wisdom?

'I'm not hallucinating right?' Michael thought seriously, he guessed it was possible with the amount of sun he was getting. 

He rubbed his dry eyes with his small hands, then returned to look at the small blue screen that popped up.

'What the actual fuck is this thing?' Michael thought as he tried reaching out to it. His hand passed straight through.

Michael received his bad language habits from many years of fury inducing game play, though he mostly only cursed silently to himself. However, since there was an extreme lack of life around him, he let his spirit fly free.

The transparent blue screen thingy faded after two or three minutes, leaving Michael to guess his level of sanity.

'Well, I guess it wouldn't be wise to just sit about and burn out here, wondering if I've gone insane. Some shade might fix my head up a bit.'

A sudden thought popped into his mind.

'What if this was that "higher being" Thetus' plot to begin with? Sending people to deserted worlds in the bodies of starving children'

«You're still accusing me of such things, human?»

Michael almost jumped off of the small mountain of scrap he was on and killed himself. He had only recently climbed up to get a better view of his surroundings.

"Y-y-you're still here?!" Michael stuttered out.

«Originally, no. However, you did speak or think of my name, did you not?»

Michael was confused for a moment before responding.

'So, one could contact a "higher being" by simply thinking their name?'

«Not entirely. It only grants the being who is calling, the other being's minute awareness. Furthermore, your thoughts had to be directed at me specifically, no?»

'But what if I am placed into a situation that brings you into mind on multiple occasions?'

«Then that situation will either interest or annoy me. You'd rather not have me block you, however, human.»

The "higher-being sounded as though he was prepared to place an inter-dimensional "mute" on Michael if he became an annoyance.

'A-ah, I wouldn't dare to do such a thing... uh ...but, if I am in "another universe"...how did you contact me?'

'Or vice versa' Michael quickly interjected. 

«Since you are a being sent here via the use of my energy, some of it still resides on your person, working as somewhat of an inter-dimensional beacon. That is all you need to understand.»

And that was probably all Michael would understand, especially if there was some sort of science behind it.

'So the blue screen thingy is your doing too?'

«"Blue screen thingy"? Oh, you meant the Universal Operating System (UOS). I had almost forgotten that you humans had no access to it in your original universe...well, but no-one did really. It only really exists here in this dimension as the creation of beings even higher than myself. It provides an enormous opportunity for you lesser beings. You really should make the most of it. But... don't be too reliant. Things may change... »

 Michael looked down on his small, thin, smoldering in the heat, raggedly dressed body. Then he looked around at his surroundings, seeming not to understand the underlying meaning of the last few sentences.

'I really don't see the application of such a system here'

«Your situation does seem quite bleak, but the system does have its uses even in cases such as this. Delve into your consciousness and think of the word "status" in relation to your being.»
 

Michael did as instructed. He closed his eyes, tried feeling every inch of himself and thought: 'status'. He didn't feel any change, but when he opened his eyes he was shocked. There, in front of him was another blue screen, albeit this one was a bit wider and longer.

It took a while for Michael to completely look through and comprehend what he saw. He looked over the scavenger part and began wondering who the previous six-year-old owner of this body was.

 'Satiety is at 3% ... well shit, I'm dead.'

Michael tried this as well. As expected, another different blue screen appeared in place of the other.

 'Huh...' Michael thought it over after reading all of the information. Which made him quite impressed with this body's previous owner.

'So this "survivor" skill allows me to survive 96% longer than what 1% satiety would normally give me? And the "Find society" skill will help me find people, who probably have food...'

He did some quick math in his head, that his mathematical skills from the college experience and work experience were of great help to. Given that humans could only survive without water for 3 days. He used that, instead of the possible 3 weeks food granted.

'Damn. That gives me only about 6 hours 'till I'm done for...um...how do I activate skills?'

«Simply concentrate on the skills name and say it aloud. Quite easy isn't it human? Now, I shall leave you to your own devices»
 

And with that, the so-called "higher-being" left Michael's conscience.

'Oh wait!' He forgot to ask about that whole AP, BP- Proficiency mess in his status overview. Those two were the only stats that he was unsure the function of, he could get the rest from gaming experience. 

'Ah. Well...' he probably shouldn't bother the being who just "left him to his own devices".

"Might as well give this skill thing a go." Michael murmured out in his new dry childish voice.

He concentrated on the skill "Find Society" before saying it out loud.

"«Find Society»"

All of a sudden, a soft glowing white line gradually appeared before Michael, leading off into the distance, over mounds of scrap. 

'Well here goes' Michael descended and began to ascend the various hills of scrap. Sometimes he even crawled through skeletal frames within the mounds if they were large enough, to get to the other side. All of this, to get to the end of that glowing white line.

Time passed and hours went by as Michael noticed that the white line was leading him towards one of those enormous metal wrecks, half buried in the sand, that he could see from kilometers away.

'Probably somewhere around there then'

Michael hungrily and exhaustedly continued for another hour or so until he spotted a moving speck in the distance. 

'What the hell?' He went forward to get a better look. 

Crawling slowly, so as not to let whatever the creature was notice him, Michael approached. 

He was not shocked but delighted at what he saw. From a distance, it looked like a bird. 

'And if it looks like a bird, it's probably edible'.

Michael was hungry beyond the point of reason and the point of no return. If something looked even remotely similar to something he recognized on earth as edible, he would try eating it. 

This was how he almost lost a few teeth, attempting to eat metal plates shaped like chocolate bars. 

As he approached, he didn't even notice the thin, leather-like garments the creature was wearing. Michael, lost in his hunger,  picked up a lengthy metal pipe (by a 6-year-old's standards) and stealthily approached the bird-like creature which was bent over, observing something on the ground. 

Surprisingly, or unsurprisingly when involving a hungry Michael, the bird creature didn't notice him who came up a mere meter behind it, at all. It never had a clue.

Michael swung with all his might at the back of the bird's head and a sickening crunch spread out in the silent air as a response. 

The bird flopped over, and onto a small pile of scraps on the ground. And Michael. Michael rushed forward and began an irreversible process.

 Half an hour later, Michael woke up from a daze. He felt around himself, noticing an abundance of feathers. He also had a strange taste in his mouth.

'What the fuck?' He thought.

Michael tried to get up, only to notice his hands coated in a sticky red liquid. Looking around for a clue, he found a half of a corpse to his left a meter away.

After realizing the chain of events, he felt so disgusted. He wanted to throw up but somehow felt that wouldn't be the best idea at the moment. An odd, mysterious sensation was reinforcing his willpower, causing his head to ache a little. After managing to pick himself up, he stumbled away and checked his satiety bar.

It had risen to 67% and his health had risen to 37% (37/100). More shocking was that he gained 3 levels, a few stat points, and an achievement. Interested, he looked to see what it was, only to become even more sick to the core.

Consume a sentient species, unaware. *

His mind was blank and sore.

He knew for a fact that crying about this event would do absolutely more harm than good. Though it did revolt his mind, heart, and stomach to know he had eaten another living, thinking being. He couldn't stand to stay in this place any longer. So he stumbled up, steadied himself and prepared to activate "Find Society" once more.

As he was preparing to do so, something caught the corner of his eye. It was a small brown pouch that he guessed must have belonged to the carcass.

He picked it up and opened it, seeing as how the bird creature probably had no use for such things anymore.

Inside was a small, 3cm wide, blue transparent cube. He knew not of its uses but kept it anyway seeing as how the bird found it useful enough to carry around in a place like this. Sadly, he had no choice but to carry it in hand, because he had no pockets.

 As time wore on and Michael continued to follow the path towards the massive wreck, the sky began to darken, leaving him unsure whether or not he would make it in time.

He decided to take refuge inside of a giant metal pipe covered in (you guessed it) scraps for the remainder of however long a day was here.

Michael curled himself into a ball and attempted to force himself to sleep until he was successful, and he was...

Mankind, incapable of reaching beyond their solar sphere, unsurprisingly, were oblivious to the impending universal apocalypse. That is - until a bright light, deemed "holy" by some, descended from the heavens (stars really) offering all of mankind a choice: live a few more peaceful years, then, die a terrible, absolutely horrible death. Or, struggle to survive elsewhere, with a chance of boundless prosperity.

'It was quite the enticing offer', were the thoughts of Michael Bonandarte, a young college student and video game enthusiast. It was also quite hard to resist an offer from the voice resounding directly into your brain. Like many others, he accepted.

But, his expectations were completely shattered by this new Reality. Reincarnated as a small child on a war-torn, scrapyard planet; Michael was left questioning, where his promised "boundless prosperity" was? And what's with all these blue screens that keep popping up? Wait a se-What the?! This isn't a game, is it?!!!

It's a question I've been thinking about for the last while. It actually started about 5 chapters through the revisions- after working out the plot to a certain point, I couldn't see myself doing much more without repeating myself in some way, and began wondering how to finish it. Using the world item from the deep darkness dragon lord? Incredibly obvious if I don't want it to be harsh and abrupt. Memoirs from the eight greed kings or possibly the evil deities, with an added possibility of some of them being guild members? Practically cliche at this point. The only thing I could think of was ending it with some 1984 style absolute dictatorship... And while that would suit the 'immortal overlord', I'm not particularly fond of writing dark and depressive sh*t.

Following this train of thought, I kind of had a meltdown. Then I looked at other possibilities so I could at least ask you all for an opinion on it. My options (the ones I actually thought decent) were:

For the crossovers:

Escanor (Seven Deadly Sins) in either the universe of Once Upon a Time (Netflix series) or Hellsing Ultimate (Abridged or not idk) - reasons being the unfulfilled but true love between Merlin and Escanor coupled with his travelling while outlawed getting him to the enchanted forest, and just simply that it would be interesting due to his powers being active mainly during the day while most of the fighting being at night.

The Incredibles family in My Hero Academia - Hero's oppressed in one, quirkless in the other, and the family would be aged a bit so Jack-Jack (Now just Jack) could join the academy.

Re:Creators and (Name a series) - Honestly this is an incredible anime to experiment with and just in general... Plus the music is perfect in every way, but I digress.

Familiar of Zero and (Name a series) - Much amusement to be had with this one, especially if you have a sturdy male character that won't take kindly to being 'bullied' by their 'master'.

Arifureta and (Absolutely nothing because I don't like it) - You will never get me to do anything on this *$£% no matter how much yo *£^*%^g beg.

Toushirou Hitsugaya in (Any school anime) - For the simple reason that he's amazing and would also hate it.

And if you REALLY want this project carried on I'll just either give everyone comment access to the google docs, check it every now and then and give edit access to reasonable commentators, before updating the novel and stating the names of the people who wrote the chapter or outright abandon it. I don't think I'd improve much if I wrote something I wasn't actually enthusiastic about, and in the end that's all this was. Besides, I'd like to think of myself as ever so slightly better now, so the next one will (hopefully) be of a higher quality.

P.S - I'll keep rolling updates on the polls for the next week. Currently reading up on everything I need for a proper second draft of my English Essay, to be handed in for three weeks from now (In other words, the middle of my holiday... Yup.) and that'll probably drain my week anyways.

With over 2000 classes that normally ranged between base high and rare, over 6000 spells and a wide range of effective playstyles, there was virtually no way to create a 'perfect character'. However, some came much closer than others.

The great and revered Lord Touch-me, for being one of the top ten players in the world, gained the class of World guardian.

In each of the nine worlds, the top player received the class of World champion and a unique item.

Finally, there were those that created characters seen by the developers as the pinnacle of a build, with the perfect spread of classes and stat distribution. While this may be a seemingly impossible task, with so many people playing the game, over the course of the twelve-year runtime three people did succeed. Of course, all three of them did great things but we... I at least... Only care about the fallen chrono-angel 'Dabilosi Tesifa' since he is the only one who joined Ainz Ooal Gown and, let's face it, this is an Overlord fanfiction.

Naturally, I do not own Overlord. I also do not own the picture displayed.

 They stared at the small yacht that had the same independent style as its owner. A man would have to get up all his courage to drive it.
 The yacht drifting on the water surface looked like a feather. Lan Jin hadn’t refitted it. He had only decorated it with paint.
 A golden flying dragon with fierce claws was twisting its body around the boat with an awe-inspiring vibe.
 It was a post-modern style decoration. Among the other clean yachts, theirs looked like the black sheep among the white ones.
 For the sake of their friendship, Qin Guan decided not to make any comments. He just turned around silently, pretending not to see anything.
 In fact, he was interested in their invitation. They sat around the table, talking about business. This was what Chinese people did.
 "Qin Guan?"
 "What's the matter?"
 "Lan Jin and I started a small commercial company. Will you help us run the business?"
 Qin Guan took a sip of his Bud Light. "I do not engage in commerce. Why me?"
 "We need an accounting firm to take care of the accounts and the dutiable goods. We consulted with some firms. Some of them charge too much, while others are unreliable."
 "You are studying finance at Columbia. We can't seek for help far and ignore what lies close at hand."
 Qin Guan put his beer bottle down with shining eyes. "Really? What would I have to do to open an accounting firm?"
 "Get your CPA," He Ming answered leisurely. "Then you won't need to care about anything else."
 "Oh, I nearly forgot." He pointed to Lan Jin. "Lan could invest in you for free. Just pay him in profit when you start making money. The boy is interested in personal investment. He likes counting bills on his couch."
 Qin Guan was relieved. It was much simpler to start a firm there than in China. America was really the land of the free.
 He swallowed a mouthful of beer. "I don't have much at hand. Just 1.6 million..."
 He Jing and Lan Jin were a little surprised. "That's enough. If your business goes well, you won't need to worry about the high New York prices. You will even get a house."
 They were pointing in the direction of Long Island, where lights could be seen among the trees. This was their dream for the future.
 "Well... I meant dollars," Qin Guan finished his words calmly, as if he was greeting some guy on the street.
 His three friends spit their beer out.
 "What... What did you say? 1.6 million dollars?"
 He was a multimillionaire! The calmest boy among them was the richest one. They showed off everywhere with their luxury cars, while the real rich man had been hiding.
 Qin Guan nodded. "You know about my part-time jobs... I just signed a contract recently..."
 His friends didn't want to continue that conversation. We hate handsome guys...
 Suddenly, Qin Guan remembered something. "He Ming, would you accept small import orders?"
 "Of course. I can carry them out myself to save on service charges and customs duties."
 "That's great. My store on Chelsea Street is ready, and we will be needing some goods... Tell them, Weizi."
 They all forgot about the time as they talked under the night sky. All their careers had started from that club and headed in different, unknown directions.
 When one realized that their goal, the very thing they were earnestly longing for, was close at hand, they were naturally full of energy.
 Qin Guan had promised George Clooney that he would finish shooting his scenes before Christmas, so he had to take the CPA exams afterwards.
 Despite Prof. Martin's complaints, Qin Guan packed his travelling bag, asked Cong Nianwei to take care of the store and went off again.
 In fact, Qin Guan had been hesitant about the script at the beginning. Compared to "Elephant" and "Confessions of a Dangerous Mind", with their black humour and absurd plot, this one was much more uplifting.
 Qin Guan had not mentally stressed about "Elephant", as in China’s point of view, it was a failure of American education.
 His role in "Confessions of a Dangerous Mind" though put more pressure on him. He would be playing a Jew, both in the physical and emotional sense.
 It was an interesting story, based on Chuck's autobiography, which had been published back in 1984. In the book, he was a killer working undercover for the CIA as a TV host.
 In fact, George had seen plenty of candidates. The agencies had sent numerous actors. Eventually though, Chuck had pointed at Qin Guan’s photo.
 "When I was young, women were obsessed with me. I used to be a handsome guy like him. Besides, he looks just as cold and tough as the people working in the secret services. This feeling is kind of hard to describe."

They opened their eyes to find they were once again in an empty black space. This time however there was a light at the end of the tunnel
[Wellards view]
When I returned it appeared my wife had already given birth. Apparently they were a very strange child and the doctor had yet to confirm their gender. When I entered the room my wife, Maria, was sitting simply with a worried look on her face.
Doctor"it would be best for you to leave them here with us. This a particularly strange phenomenon that we fee-"
"Of course we're not leaving our child with you!! Wellard take us home!" Maria interrupted.
"But-"
"Let's go!!" Not even allowing Wellard to complete his thoughts she took both the baby and his hand practically dragging them to the car. 
Once they return home Maria starts explaining the issue " Our child has been changing since the doctor held them and has been behaving strangely however we absolutely must take care of them!"


Years passed (cause I have no interest in trying to make any form of logic or story here for the time period) It was Taiela's sixth birthday and She( Taiela=female mc) was overjoyed. She was celebrating with her parents prepared to keep her secret from the schoolmates she would be joining next month. Though it took a lot of work she not only managed to convince her parents but had them get the school board to allow her to skip a few grades. Even if she wasn't  sure how she knew, She was sure that she would have been fine placed in a high school course. Unfortunately her parents wouldn't agree let alone any school. Her first day was in a third grade class they only appeared to be reviewing nothing of interest.
"Hey! So how did a brat like you get in this class?" Luana, a classmate a few inches taller than Taiela, said sarcastically. She had sharp green eyes a bronze-ish hair color styled in a bob-cut and a relatively pale appearance however underestimating her would be a fatal mistake to most. She was the first place winner of the last national elementary level martial arts competition and according to professional speculation could beat the great majority of those in a higher age group were she not restricted.
"Leave her alone" Sui-Lin , a generally very gentle person spoke up (a plot armor she must have a strong background as well) though she was at this level currently she was already studying to run her father's business Lupine jewelers. They had already became a world top jewelry power company if there were businesses in the same circle they were crushed but of course they had power outside of this as well. Highly trained bodyguards protected the young miss as her father was a particularly doting to the point of stupidity. She herself had warm brown eyes, long, straight orange hair, and a helpful(for the lovely protagonist) disposition.
(Not like I can spend the entire chapter on introductions but I should describe Taiela she has her mother's golden eyes and her father's curly hair however her hair was a menacing purple that was rather dark almost indistinguishable from black for her age she was actually rather small but she was above average in athletic abilities she had a light skin tone but it had a pink(?) hue.lets go with that) (to recap Luana was picking a fight and Sui-Lin was responding)
"How stupid" Taiela merely turned to ignore both and brought out a book.
"Ah! Sorry Taiela!"{Sui-Lin} politely with the utmost grace.(pfft graceful eight-year olds. Possible with training be it sports or otherwise but still sound ridiculous)
"Why you!"{Luana} she growled then stomped off in anger. The school day passed.
Most of the class was getting to know each other and before they went home there was a gathering of sorts( course there has to be an outlandish issue or there would be no point) 
{Duke}"come on!" He ran right into the street(not like the issue would have been avoided with caution ) even though the light had just turned red a car was still speeding through and he was coincidentally dragging the closest hand to him, Taiela's. Fear over took her senses before she could think she just want the car away. And away it went into several other cars. There was no explanation for it it just flew backwards in an unreasonably violent manner luckily most of the cars were empty as they were just parked. The only human with real damage was the one within the speeding car. (Let's make home a criminal) he had just robbed the bank and even shot a few of the attendants.
Truly lucky she didn't want to crush the car instead as miraculously only the very front and everything past the front half of the middle seats were damaged. (Very lucky fella ain't he. He gonna be comin back) he was taken into custody(blah blah blah back to the point of this) 
[Duke]
I was sure it was safe as the other cars had stopped so when I grabbed someone to go across the street. I didn't really look. Yet when I was in the road a car was almost close enough to crush us. Suddenly it flew away and I looked at the person beside me. For some reason she was glowing and I was sure. This girl has super powers.
[Luana] 
That idiot Duke nearly got ran over however the girl beside him, the brat Taiela, was glowing and the car flew away. There was no way she didn't practice martial arts or something close to do that. Suddenly I felt the urge to fight this person and also felt slightly disappointed in myself. (She isn't a bully she just has a less friendly way of speaking in others opinion.) Honestly she was bad at studying so she wanted to ask the person who was younger however she was upset at being brushed off. Of course if Taiela was strong then I want to compete to see who was stronger and possibly make a friend(yes she is battle crazy. But at least she's loyal).
[Sui-Lin]
The light was red so seeing a car fly at the younger girl made her attempt to run out and save her.(key word attempt) unfortunately, though she never thought this before, she was popular. Most of the people immediately interfered to protect their "princess". Seconds later the car flew backwards with it "lucky" driver almost half out of the car strangely( the guy's legs are out of the car he lives but...)All of those gathered clearly saw this event take place. Immediately she thought { if she was in the entertainment industry has a magician of sorts with son training we could make a killing} she is a businessman's daughter even if her plans aren't complete.

Most were in aw or very confused as the title says the class was concurred first by the mysterious power of Taiela.

Refer to synopsis for names referring to the main character. If comments are within parentheses() it is me making a point. If question marks? Are shown outside of quotation marks “” the person who we are viewing from is confused. The name of the view will be in brackets saying that it’s their view.  If question marks are shown within parentheses (?) I haven’t decided what to do with it

Story is about a person named Taiela, Raia, and Rayas and. At first they hid their secret well however once the wormholes opened up and other abilities came through
