Eat, train and sleep. That is what Kim MinJoon’s life consisted of... he strived towards his dream to debut, but life was often unfair.

Surprised by his tenacity, the Gods gave him a little something to help in his next life:

A system.

The room of which Osira and Ada discovered, is perfectly sized as 10 meters wide and long! Whatever the reason why the Snow Ignites felt like they need a place this big for experiments or whatever else they did here, it seems unnatural.

It feels like a piece of this room is missing, as if someone dashed in and stole its contents. There isn't any food here, so Demons couldn't be the case. Or this could just be a theory of which Ada thought of.

As the left side caught their attention, they saw books. Lots of books, but not enough to fill the shelves! Yes, they discovered that there is more than one book shelve here. Three occupy 4 meters of the left side with ease, it reaches almost near the area where the room splits this mini library and the experimental side.

Three tall shelves appeared in front of them once they had a closer look, they immediately grabbed a couple of them and tried to see what information it can carry. Snow Ignites have been known to be ahead in time on most cases, so this is worthy of checking out.

Opening the book, Osira could read a lot about some sort of animal. In the first page it wasn't easy to make up what animal the author of this book is talking about, but at page three it specified a creature as big as a bear with horns on its head. 

This creature was first mistaken as a demon, due to the horns as you might have guessed. The topic here is about this animal called a "Cow". Although this is an animal more common in Zameria, it is intensively rare here in Ignis. 

Reading further, the book stated. "This "cow" lets out this white substance, drinkable and delicious but it becomes a hassle to get it out of the animal as they kick." Or at least that's what she understood, this is Snow Ignite language from the second Era. 

Although not completely different from the language most use now, it has a thicker dialect and accent. Not to mention it is hundreds of years old, the parchment preserved this information tremendously well but a half of words still sound so gibberish. 

The book further stated, "The reason why these animals are rare, is because they are not animals originating from Ignis. And those who were left here by ships who had to cut down some cargo due to unspecified desperate situations, were hunted down by people who thought that they are Demon Bears. Brown Cows faced the worst fate!"

It is weird why this type of information is down here, and it doesn't belong in an experimenting room. Unless the Snow Ignites did experiments on cows or other animals? Well at least books seem to have labels, this book states "Cows".

At page 7 she saw a drawing of a Cow and she understood why a lot of people saw them as demons. They are big and have horns, this at least unintentionally adds another piece of information.

The illas for example, were established over 150 years ago. Before that, Ignites weren't exactly stereotyped as demons considering how much people see them as one at the moment. But apparently the word about demons still spun around at that time, perhaps thanks to ancient religions who don't have any followers right now? There are plenty of them. 

Ada was trying her best to figure out what she was reading, the book she picked is different. Well maybe not in form but, this one has different content. Although at some aspects smarter, the content here made absolutely no sense and the book even seems older. The pages are a bit more mutilated. 

10 pages after, Ada figured that this book is about the types of rocks and what they are good foor. Their durability and their sharpness too, the Snow Ignites sure had time on their hands.

Well they can read these books all day if they had the time, but they still have a lot more to explore and Bittore has to be told about this. The best people to work here are the elderlies, although not guaranteed they are smarter than the younger generations since they know more. 

However they are more close minded and are taught to live by their boundaries, they won't discover anything new if they experimented. All they could do is read all this information no one else would be willing too thanks to two reasons.

Half of it sounds gibberish and there is a lot to read. A rather bad combination from a prespective of any individual who doesn't favour books? These two don't exactly know what to do about it, it is why this requires further guidance from the Grand Leader or at least dump this find on her and let her worry about it, these two are just sent to explore after all.

"There are so many books here!" Ada pointed out the obvious as she tried to read more and more even though when she tried to sound the gibberish words out she almost chocked.

"To bad it looks like demon language." Osira joked around, not minding at all to call the Snow Ignites demons. I mean they do fit the title in some aspects, although we can't say for sure about the Snow Ignites of this domain.

Meanwhile, at the right wing on section 2. Jone and Clarry are exploring the first tunnel. Good enough for the knees, they don't need to go up or down a staircase. The tunnel seems quite straight and to make this situation a lot more odd, they actually faced a metal door for once. Signifying at least some sort of superiority if not mass materialistic value like most of what was discovered until now. What could be lurking behind that door, or what could be collecting dust to be more precise.

Well they are close to finding out because this tunnel is only 10 meters long, one of the shortest actually. Jone already had a hint of what might be behind this door, perhaps a private room for someone who thought himself as superior?

Walking close to the solid Iron door, Clarry tried the doorknob and was quick to figure out that it has collected more than enough dust. So being gentle has been ruled out as an option.

"Let's just blast this door out of its hinges!" Lost Jone her bit of patience and gave a bit more stamina to the fire glowing above her right hand. 

"No!" Clarry tried to calm her down while already developing another plan in her mind although her wordplay different at first. "What if there is something valuable behind this door?"

Thinking about what she theorized earlier, Jone calmed down a little bit and backed away a couple of feet. "Well what do you think we should do?"

"Move aside." Clarry smirked, dependable on her attributes. "I'll kick this straight pile of rust down."

In this group of two, Clarry is the most reliable when it comes to kicking doors down. She is an inch shorter than Jone but definitely has more muscle to work with, she is 70 Kilograms of muscle.

Fixing her hat so it doesn't fall down, she charged towards the door and both her feet separated from the ground! With both feet, she  kicked almost the top of the door. It is a good move since hinges are usually at the top, middle and bottom. While at the top they are the most vulnerable. 

The doorknob will likely be weaker and budge open, it is not certain so let's move on shall we? Kicking almost at the top of the door, she felt the light smash of an impact once her speed was slown down by the door.

But she became victorious indeed, the door got its top hinge broken and the doorknob broke as well. Most of the door still remained in tact but it was still broken beyond repair, they don't need it anyway.

Bashing through the door like a boulder, she swiftly turned around mid air before hitting the ground. Last thing she needs is to land on her back where pieces of Iron might or might not be on the floor underneath her. 

She landed on her hands and feet, almost looked like she did a push up and became more and more glad that she didn't sustain any injury.

"Good work." Complimented Jone and walked in to provide illumination to this place.

"Thanks!" Clarry answered before she stood up with little effort, "So what do we have here?"

"Skeleton." Jone answered calmly, not disturbed of what content this room offered. 

"Looks like this one locked himself in." Clarry added, trying to figure out what happened here hundreds of years ago.

"Well it isn't a surprise for men of higher standards to hide and let others fight for him!" Jone found disgust of the double standards more than the actual skeleton.

"Wait what's that?"

Fire... beautiful isn't it? It can burn, destroy, breach, but what if it's superiorly charged? Bestowed upon a human being at a rate that's incomparable even against the toughest Fire Blasters of history?
Well... it becomes extraordinarily dangerous.

Young Eric has been blessed with such ability, he has been blessed with the title of an Electus!
Which apart from Fire, brings 7 more powers, making him one of a kind.

Might be perfect timing, as Demons from another dimension are flocking the sea and land, looking to shred the world, aiming to destroy all 13 continents.

Yet there is hope! Black Fire, yes... that's the cure. It can dismantle portals, ultimately slowing down the invasions.
But to generate such Fire it demands for Eric to reach a level that's seen as impossible, even for an Electus!
He has to become a level 7 Fire Blaster!

That's the only solution, that's the goal the Electus' group will chase. These "peaceful demons" have to be banished back to the satanic dimension they call home.

Will Eric be able to do it though? This journey has been bestowed to him as if from the holy, although he's just a 15 year old boy!

Satisfied with his little foray into the library, Aser quickly decided to check out the other areas before starting his cultivation for the day. Even if it was his first day in the Academy, he had no intention of falling behind. He also needed to figure out an efficient way to finish reading all the books in the library with Ashes! Briefly checking his System Panel, Aser quickly headed onwards to the large Arena building in the distance.

Remembering the notice he read earlier, Aser assumed that the Arena was where he could participate in the so called "Trials". While walking, he finally decided to read the Academy Guidelines book to increase his understanding of the Academy. Surprisingly, he very quickly found out that even though most of the trials were in the Arena, but the trials could be anywhere on campus, including during classes and even in the cafeteria and library. The Crystal Processor for the campus maintained and monitored the trials, and would release them periodically when certain conditions were met. Almost all the buildings in campus other than private areas were monitored to both prevent any unforeseen accidents as well as track conditions and progress for trials.

He also figured out that there were school wide ranking boards as well as age specific ranking boards. Realizing that although the Academy seemed harmonious, there was still a lot of competition for everyone, Aser gradually let go of his frustration from earlier. He thought that his desire to compete and prove himself was an anomaly, but it was more the fact that the Academy forbid any sort of public arguments or fights. As such, the harmonious atmosphere he witnessed was simply a facade and almost all of the students seemed to be scheming behind everyone to get further ahead. Most people would feel uncomfortable with the scheming and competition behind the scenes, but Aser actually felt invigorated. He didn't know why, but just the thought of being able to outwit his peers made his blood boil. On the other hand, he didn't actually have as much excitement when imagining duels or combat competitions, as he instinctively felt apprehensive about being close to others, spilling blood or exchanging moves. 

Walking up to the large Arena building, Aser saw kids standing in front of a large Crystal board. Assuming that it was the ranking and Trials board, he approached it to witness the top students of the current First Son's Academy.

It was evident right from the beginning that the two people ranked at the very top were exceptional among their peers, not to mention being from the City Lord's family! The students in the 2nd and 3rd ranking were further below them, and the gap grew bigger from the 4th ranking onwards. This continued until near the middle after the 50th ranking where each rank would differ by only a few points until finishing at the 100th rank. 

Looking at all the names there and understanding that only 2nd Year students are able to get on to the Top 100, Aser readily decided that his goal for his 1st Year would be to get in the Top 50! He was sure that there were plenty of 1st Year students that were able to rank within the Top 100, just as he was sure that being in the Top 50 as a 1st Year would be almost impossible. The current rankings didn't have a 2nd Year until the 85th rank!

Moving past the ranking board, Aser saw smaller crystals around the entrance of the arena, presumably the crystals for viewing and registering trials. According to the Academy Guidelines, after registering for a trial, you would have to go to the building where the trial would be conducted. Most of them were in the Arena, but Aser didn't want to compete there at the moment. He wanted to take part in the trials that would take place in the library, and he knew for sure that there were quite a few of those as well! 

Locating an empty crystal, Aser went up and asked Ashes to connect to the Crystal Terminal. Approving the request for connection, Aser saw a list open up in his mind similar to his System Panel. Looking at all the Trials, such as "Win 5 Combat Matches in a row", or "Collect information regarding the Conquer Era", Aser knew that these trials were made to suit every kind of Cultivator.

The large list of trials available to him both excited Aser but also made him realize that finishing any of them was not an easy task. Each trial had its own requirements, and there were multiple different kinds to test different areas. Asking Ashes to save all the trial information as well as create a new Trial Module to keep track of his progress, Aser decided to skip exploring further and head back to the Library so that he could start cultivating and set up a plan to efficiently spend his time in the Academy for the next month.

Beasts had unlocked their System during the Ancient Era, and were once the rulers of the world. A catastrophe had caused them all to go into slumber, ushering in the Venture era where humanity started leaving their settlements to explore. As civilization progressed and tensions rose, humanity fought with themselves for the large swathes of territory. Near the end of the Conquer era, the beasts started awakening from their slumber and pushed humanity to the brink of destruction. Through efforts from humanity's top leaders, the system was unlocked for man, and thus began the era of Enlightenment. 

The goal of everyone in this era is to get enlightened, to seek Ascension. Now every child, every family, every influence seek to be an Ascended like the heroes of their world. 

Aser, an Unknown child raised in an orphanage in the Southern Seas. Like others, on his 7th birthday, the system had awakened in his mind, but he realizes he's special. Soo Hyuk knew that question was towards him but did not respond. He just silently continued to read a book while keeping his mouth closed.

Soo Hyuk waved his hand as he received Yeon Jeung's good-bye. And after Yeon Jeung was out of sight, Soo Hyuk began to run. Honestly, it was a waste of time to not do anything and just move your pace.

A library, the second floor compared favorably to a small library as it was prepared with many bookcases and books.

"Hah."

Soo Hyuk beamed as he looked at the bookcase filled completely with books. Whenever he went to the second floor, the feeling of ease and joy made him smile.

But, Soo Hyuk wiped the smile off his face as he let out a sigh. It was because he wanted to read the books right away but weren't able to.

Soo Hyuk began moving his pace again and went up to the third floor. Different than that of the second floor, there was not even one book that existed on the third floor.

In the first year, I encountered a dwarf village. Everyone is dead and all treasures and materials stolen. I used <BLOOD STEAL> on all the dwarves. I got a few skills and knowledge in making weapons. In thier memories, it seems a deal with human bandits gone bad. They took women and children hostage to make the dwarf men drop their weapons. Then they slaughtered them, afterwards raped the women then killed them. The kids were killed also and left on the streets to rot. Some animal scavengers already ate most of them.

I gave a proper burial for each dwarf person. Due to the memories, I remember each of their names in which I carved them on thwir tombstone. 

A month after that, I located the bandits hideout. I wiped them all out and looted all their treasures, weapons, armors and forging materials. I also learned more advance fire magic from the bandit mages.

Then I just roamed the lands and updating my map. I hunted and strengthened by leveling up.

I encountered a flock of waverns in thE rocky mountains and i obtained <BLOOD WINGS> and <SONIC BOOM> skills.

The <BLOOD WINGS> are very light and durable. It is strong as steel but light ass a feather. <SONIC BOOM> are two kinds of attack. The first one is when I speed up and break the sound barrier to paralyze the target for short period of time. The second attack is through the mouth, which renders the target paralyze for a longer period of time from the focused sound blast. I lived in the rocky mountains for 5 years, honing my skills in blacksmithing to perfection. I also carved a house on the side of the mountains. I delved in to arts and crafts. For entertainment, i started to write novels from the story telling of all the memories of victims of <BLOOD STEAL>. I filled bookshelf after bookshelf, until I have a library. I also made paper and other office supplies from the knowledge of the dwarves. My house kept getting bigger and bigger each year. It is now the size of Oprah's Mansion. I carved out a warehouse to fill with materials to use for blacksmithing. Then I carved out a storeroom and used ice magic to keep the temperature low for perishable goods. I may not need to eat, But I have pleasures of eating good food. I am trying to develope cooking skills, but it won't pop out in my skill list. I also created a lot of cookbooks from dwarf knowlege and bandit knowledge. I also created indoor plumbing, toilets, baths, water tanks. I filled the water manually by going back and forth from the nearby river where i fish. At that time, I still haven't learned water magic yet. Most of the space of my mansion is occupied by my library. I also have a gym, sauna and a spa. Cleaning it is a hassle most of the time. But what else am I gonna do. Most days i spent on chores. So I feel I'm living a normal life.

A year ago, i encountered some forest elves while i was hunting. They were a bunch of pricks. They're so high and mighty. They tried to attack me and in self defence, i ended up killing them. I acquired water magic from them. Soon more forest elves shows up and tried to take revenge from the elves i killed. I ended up killing them too. And the cycle repeated again and again. My level steadiedly rose while acquiring more advance water magic to ice magic. I also learned their martial arts after fighting them a lot. They are pretty strong. The strongest one has the strengtg of a supreme knight. Most of the time, I just tired them out in order to win.

My strength gradually rose as months go by now I can fight the elves with a supreme knights as equals. Last week my level advanced to level 15 and my strength rose to that of a royal knight, so I defeated them pretty quickly.


At this moment, I am hunting forest elves. Due to the knowlege of the location of the elf village, I am now heading over there.


I was nearing the elf village when an arrow hit me in the gut and the neck. The power was strong but due to my level up the arrows only penetrated at about half an inch. I barely felt it due to my pain resistance at 10.


"You attacked first, so I will attack all of you in self defence!" I yelled in elven language.

I didn't received a reply but only received more arrows heading towards me.


I dissappeared and reappeared in front of them using <FEATHER FOOT> skill. My speed is already the speed of a bullet. I used <BLOOD STEAL>, since it is maxed out I don't need to bite them. Just touching them activates the skill and the drain is but a second and they are bone dry. With this I maxed out <EAGLE EYE> and the elven bloodline.


"Damn you Vampire fiend! All priest fire holy magic!" shouted the elf commander on top of the gate walls.


"Purification!" shouted by multiple priests on top of the walls.


I felt a huge gravity of holy magic all over. It affected me a little. But thanks to pain resistance and regeneration, the effects were minimized.


"Dumbasses! It's the middle of the day! I'm not a pure vampire but a vamphir!" I yelled "Since you attack first! Prepare for the consequences!"

I activated my <BLOOD WINGS> and flew straight at them. I used <BLOOD STEAL> on all the elf priests and killed the elf gate commander. Everything happened within the course of a few seconds.

The information flooded thru my brain. I was surprise with the new skill <BLOOD BLESSING>, it is a skill in which I can gift anyone with a skill on my lists. I can only gift it to members of my covenant though. And I'm not ready for a covenant of daywalkers. I still want to explore the world and not be stuck in a domain.


I look at the village from on top of the walls. All the villagers were freightened since they are trap and the only way out is through me at the front gates.


"Lord vampire please have mercy! Do not kill all of us! Atleast spare the women and children!" (Elven Chief)


"First of all, I'm a vamphir not a vampire! Second! You attack first and would not leave me alone so I came here to talk things out but you attack me again!" I yelled out


"W-we apologize for the misunderstanding! Please have mercy on us!" (elven chief)


All the villagers started bowing and apologizing for what they have done.


"It's your damn pride that you think high and mighty about yourselves. You will be wiped out if it wasn't me standing here. I demand you change your ways. Also as compensation for my troubles, I want a seed from the tree of life and also some sap of the tree. I also want books in alchemy, magic books and materials for alchemy.


They agreed, since they know I can wipe them all out and then take even more items. Afterwards I informed them that if anyone attack me again without cause, I will lay waste to any elf from the village.

I headed back to the rocky mountains towards my mansion. I begin to read all the magic books and found a magic that is very useful. It's called <ERASURE>, it is cleaning magic. I don't need to take a bath or clean the house anymore. It can erase anu specific element you want, like dirt. I continued to read through the books about alchemy.

"Thank you!" i replied back. I began practicing alchemy potions and elixers. I also made pills through an alchemy pot. I need to strengthen my body more so arrows will just bounce off and increase my mana pool due to so many magic that i just learned.

Instead he transfer him to another world and another god and gave him a system that curse him to live forever. He then set out to find a way do die but he decided to have fun first. Later on he found out he was in a world of novels.

They went over to the reading rooms, and sat down. 'Finally', Dante thought. 'I finally get to become a summoner! I just need to learn all about it in this book…'

With three giant books in front of him, Micheal was indecisive. 'Where do I start?' Eventually, he just picked the book on pathways and started skimming through.

With a flip to the table of contents, his gaze was drawn to "List of Pathways and Steps. (Known in the Kingdom of Lunalla)" 'Known in the Kingdom of Lunalla? So this implies that there's more pathways than even this kingdom knows!'

Flipping to the page, a table soon greeted Micheal. Neat and orderly, a simple table with many sections that start at Step 1, and into higher steps. Although this was a simple table, its contents filled Micheal with reverence. 'Every Step…. Clearly organized and defined.' Looking through the steps, Micheals expression kept changing between fear, awe, and worship. "Step 3 Polymath" Looking at another section, "Step 5 - Four Leaf Sorcerer." 'Just these lower level steps have such dominating names… how do you become them!'

Flipping to the page where they are elaborated on, there was a sentence at the top. "Due to dangers associated with high level steps, the methods to rise above Step 2 are not public information." 'This… the dangers!? What kind of dangers could there be?' The sentence had a page number attached to it which lead to the middle of the general information section. It read, "Death, explosions, going insane, turning into a monster, natural disasters, and more. These are various examples of what can happen to those who experience complications in advancing through the steps. The higher the step, the more chances of problems occuring, and can lead to tragedies. The most famous example is the Demon Lord. Experiencing problems when he tried to ascend, the monstrous tyrant who killed millions appeared."

'These dangers… if going up the steps can cause this… is it worth it? I thought I would postpone my new goal in life until I know more, but I was leaning towards becoming powerful through the steps. Who wouldn't want to have these amazing powers! But now…. I don't know what to do. Lets just keep reading more steps, those were interesting.'

"Step 7 Voidwalker" "Step 8 Walking Disaster." As Micheal kept looking downwards, his attention was soon brought to the grand, shining silver letters near the bottom.

"GOD"

"G-g-god!?" Micheal couldn't help but exclaim out loud! 'You can become a god through this?! T-t-this… this is' 

"Dude, what the fuck" Dante said due to his reading being rudely interrupted due to the human next to him being unable to control himself. Micheal looked at Dante and simply uttered, "Sorry". He was in the wrong after all. 'Alright, I don't think I can handle the mental shock I would have from reading the names of the God steps right now… but I'm still curious! One step below god, Step 10. Let's read!'

"Step 10 Universal Exploiter. Step 10 Author. Step 10 Miracle Invoker"

'These names…' Micheal stared at those names before deciding not to even try to understand them, and just read the rest of them. 'Alright. My curiosity has been sated, but what I need to memorize is general information and my own pathway! Lets see here... '

Time passed as the two were engrossed in reading. Church bells rang once in a while, and after a few rings of the bell, a young boy in scholarly clothes walked in. "Excuse me, everyone, the library closes in a few minutes. Be sure to put borrowed books back in their respective places or give them to the librarian, or if you paid to take them with you, then please take good care of our books." With that, the boy walked back out.

Micheal slowly was brought out of reading and looked up for the first time in hours, and no longer saw Dante anywhere. 'Seems my journey with that orc has finally come to an end. We coincidentally met, and turned out we were both hero descendants! Hero descendent, heh, he certainly didn't act like one.'

'Take the books out for a fee… I barely have any money! I can just come back tomorrow to go more in depth in this knowledge.'

Walking out from the library, Micheal debated where to go next. 'According to books, most people live in a rented out place, rather than owning their own house. Should I check the rent prices? I also need a job…'

As he walked, he remembered he was holding a paper in his hands. 'The king's notice of gathering the strong and the heroes descendants! I actually forgot to read this since I was so focused on the books!'

'Let's see…'

"Official notice from the king and the great churches. Through the history of our land, many great occurrences have been witnessed." 'Wait a minute… this is useless information!' Flipping through the paper, near the back he found the important information.

"This mission regards the safety of our land, stemming from occurrences related to the ancient Demon Lord. For specific information, please show up at the palace to gather, effective from June 1st to July 1st" We call those who are strong, have a unique skill, or descend from the respected heroes to rise up and protect our land in this mission. Ample rewards will be given
just from participating, and more depending on the situation. During this period of time where we wait for participants to gather, housing will be provided if necessary."

'Ample rewards? Housing! I must check this out!'

While walking to the gathering spot, Micheal internally went through all his recently acquired information.

'Alright, so the main points to remember are:

You can only be on one pathway, and attempting to go to another pathway's steps will result in catastrophic results. Ascending through the pathways can also have disastrous results if they go wrong, so public knowledge of how to ascend stops at step 2.

The Great churches are all massive powers spreading across nations, each worshipping a god.

Our nation of Lunalla is the biggest center of pathway knowledge, located at the southern tip of the northern continent.

As Micheal finished organizing his thoughts, he had arrived at the palace entrance.
