As someone who read the Novel that was the basis for this fanfic, I have a lot of hope for the potential of this fanfic. My only hope is the MC does not end up having Gluttony turn on him in the end as it did in the Novel. It felt annoying then, and it highlighted the danger of having a sentient power.

Of course not! Just the fact that no one wants a power that will turn on them. Gluttony is cool and all, but when it tries to supplant your will and make you do something you don't want to do, it is no longer cool enough that you would consider keeping it. Even the threats of eating him if he doesn't keep it well-fed, don't compare to the level of threat that comes when you know it could attempt to take control of you.
