Good story so far, the original mtl is trash yet the translation managed to salvage it and make it presnetable and good even The story still has some obviously chinese sayings and so on but it works and is readable

The only thing that could improve the story is to change the story and you’re translating not writing so I don’t think there’s something you can do better since removing obvious chinese sayings would remove sentences in the middle of the story which would be worse

Precisely. Taking away the Chinese sayings that don't affect readers much might cause confusion later if I start changing them now. If I rewrite everything. Essentially I'm just plagiarising a story.
