This obviously wasn't carefully thought thoroughly. you gave him to much power you didn't think through the plot nor interactions it's like you are just writing what ever comes to mind I read through until chapter 14 and dropping but i hope you learn from this if want to continue writing. that is true I'm just using this as an experiment since I've never wrote a book before. I'm probably going to rewrite it make it better with a better story plot and thought through.
