I'm pretty disappointed with this story, so I'll start with the good qualities. The author has decent grammar, and knows how to proof-read. In addition to that, the story is updated very frequently. Now to the negative part. The self-insert is a total Gary Stu. The first red flag was his overly tragic backstory. I was okay with it, and I was still pretty excited because it had an interesting premise. I thought it'd be about a vigilante exposing the faulty hero society in America. Something similar to the Hero Killer Stain. Then his second family was killed off shortly after training the protagonist. It hardly had any impact as we only got to know them a few chapters beforehand. Anyways, the protagonist avenges his family then goes off to Japan to live with a bunnygirl. They stay together for a while, and our protagonist decides to join UA. He moves out, and easily passes the exam to get into UA. Once he joined the main cast, reading this stopped being enjoyable. When he moved into his new home, he instantly becomes acquainted with Mina. Within two chapters, Mina has full access to his home. She's waking him up and cooking him breakfast. Because that's how normal friendships work. Despite the protagonist's apparent strength, he's a total pushover. After he shows his power during the USJ Incident,(for some reason) the class of 1-A all come over to his house to visit him. Using his recently ordered pizza as a hostage, they get into his home and have a sleep-over. At one point during this event, he flexes on Kirishima(who he fought during the battle trial) with the golden line: "Of course I went easy on you. If I didn't you'd be dead." At that point I couldn't take the story seriously anymore. It had potential, but it quickly turned into the author's power fantasy. Some people might be into this sort of thing, but I'm not. Dropped.

いいねI guess I could have worded it better. It's the author's wish fulfillment, mostly in regards to the protagonists relationships with other characters. That sort of thing usually leads to a boring(and kinda sad) story.
DimensionalFish:I understand where your coming from but aren’t most fantasy novels such as cultivation, magic, system, etc power fantasy’s because they can’t actually have that power and they write about it????
thanks for the review, i was reading a few chapters and i liked the whole concept of exposing the dark side of the heroes, hes more like an anti hero and it was something different from most fanfics which i appreciated. but i had a feeling that it wont continue on this route based of the chapter titles of the future chapters, thanks to your review i can drop this now without investing anymore of my time.
thx for the review man.usually Im into wishfullfillment in case of fanfic. but if u ask for a pizza u need a pizza not a dessert. so when I see the title of the story.i was expecting a vigilante who actually shows 1)world isnt black and whit but grey. 2)there is villains among heroes and heroes among villains. 3)govt isn't as good as they make us believe. 4)and bitch slap almight and ask him if his memory is altered or not for choosing weeb over a good candidate(mirio) but looking at your review I seriously needed to reorder a fucking 🍕
or melissa she didnt have a quirk and was all rights niece so he had to know her morals and the fact that she actually does stuff for society instead of complaining about being quirkless

I think he wanted a more serious novel with tragedy and a more vicious mc with a little comedy to balance it out. Kinda like bittersweet, honestly compared to a lot of novels out there this is pretty good but i guess what he’s saying is that it had potential but along the way it lost its identity that’s probably why the author stopped updating he just didn’t know what to write anymore.
