I referred to her as her friend mostly because I had no other frame of reference for her. I'm not even sure if she had been name yet. though, I agree she prolly doesn't look at her as a real friend, just one of those who attach themselves to those who are wealthy in hopes of getting some side benefit or other stuff

I can't help but wonder if kyden will somehow enter Mona's dream and what his reaction to seeing the world she came from. although, while it would be entertaining, I can’t say I think it would be likely, no matter how much he'd want to. though I expect the dreamcatcher to make a mistake in that i think it has more of an instinctual intelligence rather than an active one. as in it will detect strong desires and try to implement them, but it would be up to monk's mind to make sense of them, and if her father is meeting kyden, that could cause trouble for the dreamcatcher. although that's just my speculation about it. in the end, I'm sure mona will be able to get out of this on her own, but it takes time to close the door on your deepest desires on your own. especially with all the emotional baggage that would likely come with it. in regards to the boy, the nightmare was a little more intense than I'd expected. though, I also wonder if mona would have taken a different path if she knew what his desire had been first. anyway, on to the next chapter!
